OSAT Silver Bells and Sea Shells Blog Hop

Good Morning?! Did we all survive Halloween? I barely did! The kids and I spent about 3.5 Hours out Trick or Treating and this mom is EXHAUSTED.... So if this post is a bit short you will know why...

This month with the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop we are hopping with the theme Silver Bells, and Sea Shells. It really is just a Christmas Theme it is just play on words for the demonstrators who are in Australia and New Zealand where Christmas is in the summer.

Today my creations were made with the Peaceful Noel Bundle. I just this Sprig Punch that is in this bundle! It was so pretty with the Crumb Cake Burlap Background and Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper Pack. This Photopolymer stamp set is perfect with the layering dies that coordinate with the Stitched Shapes. I even made a fun little Wreath!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait for you to see what the rest of the team has made. You can get to them by clicking along the link list below!

TGIF 161 Thinking of You Reflection Challenge

TGIF is right!!! Not sure that it even matters though with the kids OFFCIALLY on summer break as of Wednesday! I must confess yesterday was a bit of a struggle for us all to find the Summer Normal but I think that today will be a drastic improvement.

One of my favorite things about being on the TGIF Design Team is that it continually pushes me outside of my creative comfort zone. With that being said, new techniques SCARE me! This weeks challenge is a Reflection Technique and I was petrified! I may have scrapped a card or four, then I finally nailed it. Let me show you...

So I was not kidding when I scrapped a few cards before getting this right... This was my favorite! I started by using my sponge daubers to create my sunset like background. The colors I used in order are Berry Burst, Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive. Once I had achieved my desired back ground, I simply stamped one of the many trees from the Rooted in Nature stamp set using Stazon Jet Black ink. Now a word of caution, when you are ready to make your reflection, you will not be able to use Stazon, so use Memento if your reflection is going to be black. My gold Heat Embossed sentiment is also from Rooted In Nature and is on a nice Berry Burst stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. It is nicely layered onto a Gold Foil circle from the Layering Circles Framelits. A simple double bow of Linen Thread was all this card needed for embellishments!

Thank You so much for stopping in today! I can't wait to see what you create with this fun Reflection Technique Challenge!

Stamp Ink Paper 143 Basket of Flowers Challenge

Tuesday, Oh Tuesday which means it is a BRAND NEW Challenge for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge!

Before we get to that, am I the only parent who absolutely loathes Parent Teacher Conferences?? It really has nothing to do with whether they are doing well or not. I strive to keep a very open line of communication amongst teachers and myself. My two kids in elementary are doing amazing, but that is because they have amazing teachers. This is Joshua's last quarter of elementary school, I worry about him going to middle school next year. It is a much different environment, the teachers are not nurturing and even border on being just down right rude and mean. I know this because Wesley has struggled ALL year. If you are a parent reading this, make no mistakes, you are your children's ONLY advocate.

So this weeks challenge is "A Basket of Flowers", many of our team did just that! I of course went a bit rouge!

Well, I know it isn't a card, but this cute little note pad jumped out at me when I was at the local business supply store. I knew exactly what DSP and everything I wanted to use on it... When brainstorming yesterday for the challenge, I didn't want to do what everyone else was using. I took a nice 2.25" x 12" strip of Night of Navy card stock to coordinate with the Delightful Daisy DSP strip that I cut 2" x 12". There was about a 1" gap when I created this, so I used the Layering Circles and Stitched Shapes Framelits to complete my belly band. My So Saffron that was embossed using the Basket Weave embossing folder. I tied a nice Night of Navy Gingham ribbon bow to hold the Thank You sentiment that is stamped with Night of Navy ink. My nice daisy was stamped in Daffodil Delight, I then used my Aqua Painter to fill in the petals for a some what no line watercoloring appearance. My nice spring like leaves are from the Painted Harvest Bundle. I stamped the leaves on Lemon Lime Twist with Pear Pizzazz ink. It was the perfect contrast!!!! A nice Clear Faceted Gem was perfect for the center of the daisy!

I can't wait to see what you are going to make with this weeks theme!!
Have a great Tuesday!

Stamp Ink Paper 136 Cabin Fever

Happy Tuesday! Sorry I have been a bit MIA... Kids have been sick and in all honesty, it sucks the life out of me. It also zaps my creativity!

I am back with the Stamp Ink Paper Design Team this week and some of us are suffering from Cabin Fever! So this challenge is to celebrate warm weather!!!

What better to celebrate warm weather than some Limeade!!! I took the citrus side of a piece of the Tutti Fruity DSP and ran with it!! This DSP is so nice with the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon! I made my cute little sentiment using the Labeler stamp set with Peekaboo Peach ink! My fun glass of Limeade is made using the Lemon Lime Twist ink pad and my amazing Blender Pens. I stamped the glass and ice cubes from the Mixed Drinks stamp set using Basic Black Archival Ink before coloring it in. I die cut my stitched circle using the Stitched Shapes framelits and added a nice Green Glimmer Paper scallop using the Layering Circles. A quick band of the same DSP across the Daffodil Delight Stripe was perfect. This is matted on to a fresh layer of Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock on a Peekaboo Peach Card Base!

I can't wait to see what you create with this fabulous theme!
Have a great Tuesday!

TGIF 115 Color Challenge

Soooooo glad that today is Friday!! I have been bursting at the seams for you all to see this weeks TGIF Challenge!!! It is a great color challenge featuring the new In Colors from Stampin' Up!

I couldn't wait to go a little outside the box with this one and NOT make a card!

My fun Gold and White striped bag was screaming at me to be used for this challenge. The Oh So Eclectic bundle with the Fabulous Foil Acetate was perfect with my Ruffled embossed banner and Linen Thread bow. I used the Gold Binder clip to hold this cutie on.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for this weeks challenge! Sorry, my post is so short but I have to go ride the horses before its 108 degrees again!

Paper Craft Crew 245 Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Happy Paper Craft Crew Wednesday to you all! School is officially out at Noon today! My kids are excited, although the reality is that Joshua my middle kid starts summer school on Tuesday! We have a fun filled afternoon planned down by the horses and are looking forward to sleeping in a bit tomorrow even though we have a hair appointment at 9!

This week the design team for Paper Craft Crew is challenging you to make a Tic Tac Toe! I just love these challenges. It was so fun making my card! I chose to make my three in a row by going diagonal Bright Colors-Favorite Stamp Set (they are all my favorite)-Ribbon. Let me show you what I have done...

TaDa!!!!!!!!! It does have a wow factor about it! This fabulous Paisley & Posie card has Bright colors! I used Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach And Island Indigo. The base of the card is Berry Burst card stock with a matte of Pool Party. I did a fun Pool Party Stitched Circle on a scallop of Island Indigo from the Layering circles dies. The die cuts from the Paiselys and Posies Bundle were cut from Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst and Peekaboo Peach and adhered using just a touch of Liquid Multi Purpose Glue. The Congrats sentiment from the Sunshine Wishes was so much fun! I cut it twice using Island Indigo and Lemon Lime Twist card stock then offset them just a hair. I heat embossed this twice using Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. The Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon was just the right touch to this fun card!

I can't wait to see how you are going to make your three in a row!
Have a fabulous day!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge 244

Been a bit of slacker when it comes to my blog lately... so much going on! BLAH! One week from today and the kids will be on break. Most moms would be excited, and although I am ready to be done with school, I am not sure that I am ready for summer break.

This week with the Paper Craft Crew we have fun sketch for you all to play along with! I am really loving the Wood Words Bundle that will be available to you on June 1st!

This fun card started with a base of Pool Party Card stock with a soft matte of Sahara Sand. My Whisper White layer is stamped with Pool Party ink with the flower cluster from the Wood Words stamp set. I added a Stitched Circle stamped with the same pattern layered onto a Sahara Sand Layering Circle with a couple of dimensionals. Almost like a triple time stamping effect. My cute little rooster was the perfect edition with my Linen Thread bow and wood trim. My sentiment was heat embossed with Stampin' Emboss White and was perfect for this card. I added some nice Glitter Enamel dots and I was done with this fun little card!

TGIF Challenges 99 Baby! Oh Baby!

Friday! How I have been waiting for you! I am ready to put this week behind me. 3 weeks from tomorrow this girl will be at OnStage San Diego among all of my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator friends whoopin up over a sneak peek of the upcoming annual catalog! Can you believe that it is already that time of year?? This will be my first one EVER. I am sure the lovely Jeanna will show me the ropes. It is so exciting to have it in my hometown though!

This week the TGIF Challenges has a fun baby themed challenge! It seems like lately I have friends who are having one last one. I am not going to lie, I miss when the kids were little. However since Troy is 12 years my senior I am pretty sure that we are done. Although I said that after Joshua and that is how I ended up with Taryn!

Well look at that! Andrea did punch art... well not punch art, it is more like die and punch art. With a shaker element so that it looks like a rattle! Adorable right? Sue Plote and I discussed this and it really came together easily! A Little Foxy DSP was perfect for this gender neutral baby card! My card has a base of Smoky Slate with a coordinating matte of Pool Party! I used the Layering Circles dies to create my rattle. I was stumped when I needed to create a proportionate handle but the Classic Label was just the size and was heat embossed in Clear Stampin' Emboss powder to give it some depth. The 1/2 Circle Punch at the bottom and paper bow from the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment kit were just the right touch! The Suite Sayings set has this adorable sentiment that I stamped onto the Whisper White Banner with Calypso Coral ink.

Thank You so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see what you make for that special bundle of joy!

Paper Craft Crew 2247 Sketch Challenge

Happy Wednesday! So excited for the week to be ALMOST over! Not been feeling the best lately but there is no rest for the wicked! All the kids are healthy and back at school. Wesley has his post appendectomy check up this afternoon. The kid is ready to be part of PE and recess again!

This week with the Paper Craft Crew we have a sketch that I am sure everyone will enjoy! I have been on a bit of a "Birthday" kick lately. So I busted some goodies that I have been neglected out of the Annual Catalog and whipped this little cutie!

No automatic alt text available.

I really wanted to play something I had not used in a while! I think we get caught up in the Occasions catalog and forget about the great papers and stamps in the Annual! I started with a base of Peekaboo Peach with a matte of Sweet Sugarplum. The cute polka dot DSP is from the Playful Palette stack! My Very Vanilla Stitched Circle is stamped with Peekaboo Peach using the "Hooray" sentiment from the Confetti Celebrations stamp set! I added some cute little balloons from the Balloon Celebration set and a recycled strip of Blushing Bride Glimmer paper for the accents!

Stamp Ink Paper 80 Card-makers Choice

Happy New Year!!! I decided when my creative obligations took a hiatus for the winter holidays, so did I! We had a fairly low key Christmas with some wacky weather. The kid's have been entertaining themselves with all of their new loot! New Year's Eve was rather eventful when Troy and I had to make a 3 hour drive to Denver to take our oldest to the hospital to have his appendix removed! So needless to say our 2016 went out with a bang and we started our new year with one less appendix in the family!

To kick off 2017 Stamp Ink Paper has a easy challenge for you! Make a card using your favorite Stamp, Ink and Papers! Let me show you what I have made for you!

My card is a base of Very Vanilla. I have matted my Crumb Cake stamped layer with Blushing Bride.
You will notice my cute little lace detail in Crumb Cake ink on the side. That is a fabulous set you can earn for free with a $50 dollar purchase from Stampin' Up! starting on January 4th! It is called Delicate Details and I just that it is a photopolymer set. The Stitched Satin Blushing Bride Ribbon was just the right touch. My fabulous Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper Butterfly coordinates amazingly with my stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits in the Falling In Love Designer series paper. I, of course layered this onto one of the scalloped circles from the Layering Circles also cut out of the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. A few basic rhinestones and this card was set!

Thank You so much for stopping by! All items used to make this card are listed below!
I can't wait to see what you make!
