TGIF 117 Summertime Blues Challenge

Happy Friday! TGIF Challenges has a fune Summertime Blues Challenge this week! Because we all know that there "Aint No Cure" for them, but at least we made it through the week!!! Big plans for the weekend? We are going to the circus!

I know this isn't a "blue" card! Summer time reminds me of backyard play days, running through sprinklers, spending all day in the barn with the horses and weddings. I was recently asked to make a few wedding cards. One of the requests was a Boho Chic style

My card started with the Wood Textures DSP white wash sheet, The Swirly Scribble thinlit was cut 3 times using Kraft Paper then sponged with Soft Suede ink. I used the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle to create the Powder Pink, Calypso Coral and Soft Sky flowers with Pear Pizzazz greenery. The lovely sentiment is heat embossed with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder. A Linen Thread bow and a few Basic Pearls were just the right touch!

Hope you have an amazing weekend! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I can't lie to you... Crafting this summer has been a struggle. I feel like I don't just get a day to work or I find myself riding the horse instead of making cards... So this is an effort to get back to the swing of things. I hope you enjoy!

To tour the hop the link list provided below will help you along! I hope you have enjoyed my creations!

OSAT July Very Vintage Blog Hop

Welcome to the July edition of the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! I am so excited to have you with us! This month we are hopping with a Vintage Theme that I am sure you will enjoy. You will probably see anything from Shabby Chic to a true Vintage feel.

Did you get to me by way of my friend Justin Krieger? If so, I am so glad to have you stop by!

It has been a busy week with tutoring, horses, a new rabbit, and I can't wait to get away this weekend for Troy's 50th birthday! That is right I said 50 and I don't think the man looks a day over 40! I wish I had that problem!

I am going to be honest, this was all made yesterday... NO JOKE! I work well under pressure right? I wasn't sure how I was going to do Vintage but after researching some colors I knew exactly what my plan was... What is more Vintage than a Mason Jar holding flowers on Burlap right?

I obviously went crazy with this particular theme! My colors on this hop are Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have used the new Beautiful Bouquet Bundle, Jar of Love Bundle, Burlap Background Stamp and the Marble Background Stamp. The cute Corrugated Elements were perfect for my fun shaker jar that is holding the bouquet. I also used the new Ruffled Embossing Folder, isn't it divine? It really worked out great for my fun little bottle tag that I created with the Lots of Labels Framelits, Lovely Words Thinlits, Layering Ovals and Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Thank You so much for stopping in today! I can't wait for you to see what Kelly has come up with next for you... She may be in Thailand but she is still hopping and I am sure it is amazing!!! You can get to her by clicking the next button below. If you ever get lost I have a full link list below!

Happy last Thursday in June which means I am back with A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! We are practically half through summer break... or at least my kids are! We plan on going to the pool today providing that there is no drama in our house today! It was so nice to have Pam Staples and her son Caleb stay the couple days. I can't wait until the next visit!

Did you get to me by the amazing Cindee Wilkinson?? I just loved her goodies! This months kit is called "One In A Melon" it is an absolutely adorbale summer themed kit! I just love the Watermelon Bags with coordinating Tissue Paper. You get two ink spots with this kit Emerald Envy and Melon Mambo which were absolutely perfect!

I really tried to use stuff mainly for the kit! You will notice a few accents of the "Wood Textures DSP" and a few Glitter Enamel Dots and Gold Binder Clips as well as the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon that are not from kit but are from the Annual Catalog.

You will want to stay tuned today because Stampin' Up!® is having a surprise deal for new subscribers. This offer will come and go in a flash. I don't have the details right now but will update my post today as soon as those details are shared. So be sure to check back.

TGIF Challenge 113 Bokeh Technique

TGIF!!!!!!! I am so glad today is Friday! It has been a blur of a week! Even when I have tried to clear my schedule for a day of nothing, it still turned into a day where I was chasing my own tail! I am so glad that summer school is over and done with for now!! Maybe, I can reestablish my mornings of creativity and coffee!

This week TGIF Challenges we have a fab little technique challenge for you all to play along with! Bokeh Technique is something I have always turned my nose up at... but challenge accepted!

This fun card came together using this months My Paper Pumpkin Kit! The card has a nice summer like base of Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist card stock. I used Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay with the Craft White ink to create my Bokeh background! After cutting about a 2 inch strip from the card base of the kit I used the Triple Banner Punch to create the banner ends. I wrapped the Melon Mambo Bakers Twine with a cute little bow and attached it using Stampin' Dimensionals. My cute little Watermelon was first stamped with Lemon Lime Twist and I ended up cutting the circle tag from kit in half and then fussy cutting my Melon Mambo sentiment and popping it up with some Dimensionals as well. I added a few green Glitter Enamel Dots just to add some bling.
