A Paper Pumpkin Thing Key To My Heart Kit

Thank God it is FRIDAY!!! Lets just take a minute to think about the fact that TARYN, turns 13 tomorrow!!! I will be the parent to ALL teenagers.... I am not sure I am ready for this! We had basketball last night and had a plan of going to dinner tonight but that may be messed up with sick boys!

This month with A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop, we are hopping with the kit "Key To My Heart". I had a great little add of treat boxes that I decided to skip... I couldn't wait to come up with an alternative, because if you know me hearts are not my favorite! Let me show you what I have created.

The card started with a base of Pale Papaya and mat of Calypso Coral Cardstock. I decided to use a card base to create my tag with the Tailor Made Tags dies. This sits nicely on piece of the Delicate Desert DSP. I tied a cute bow with the thread from the kit with a key and lock die cut from the kit. The sentiment was stamped in Gray Granite ink and was the perfect touch!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Celebrating In Color

Happy last Thursday of the month! I am not sure whether this month went by fast or not. I do know that today is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! I am probably more excited than the kids.
This month the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Team is hopping with the Celebrating In Color Kit! This kit features all of our NEW in colors and will definitely get your creativity juices flowing! I can't wait to show you what myself and my friends have created for you!
I have used a card base from the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes in Parakeet Party. My layer of Basic White I have stamped with the stamps in the kit. The Parakeet Party is stamped with the words "You Make Me" and I stamped the "Happy" using Staz On. The splatters were also stamped with Stazon and accented with the Matte Black Dots and the dots provided in the kit. I have tied a cute bow with the our Black & Gingham Ribbon and accented it with a bit of the Parakeet Party twine that is in the In Color Twine Pack.
A quick and easy but so much fun card that is sure to bring anyone cheer!

I can't wait for you to see what the rest of our amazing team has created!! You can click along the list below to tour the whole hop!

Have a great day!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Change Is Beautiful Kit

Happy Thursday! Life has been pigs, baseball and dealing with wind! The pigs are coming along nicely and Taryn has her first jackpot of the season this weekend! Her goal is to hit 11 shows so that she can earn a jacket from the association that sanctions the shows. I am so proud of her! She has really been working hard with what time we have had thanks to the relentless wind.

This month our A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop is focusing on the APRIL KIT, Change is Beautiful. This kit comes with 9 cards that have fun folds and great scenes! I love all of the cheerful colors and the versatility of the colors in the kit!

So today my alternative is using the Change Is Beautiful Kit paired with the Abstract Beauty DSP and Ephemera pack! Let me show you what I have created!

This card was so fun to make! I first took one of the flower die cuts from the kit and fussy cut the center so that I would appear to be a bit more 3D after using a few dimensionals. It is accented with pieces from the Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack. I even used it for my Polish Pink stamped sentiment from the kit. The black and white splatter DSP is also from the Abstract Beauty DSP and was the perfect choice to layer of the black and white stars card base from kit. I used my Melon Mambo Blends on the ribbon so that it better coordinated. A bit of Clear Wink Of Stella and a few White Basic Pearls and this beauty was ready for the Bermuda Bay mat and Melon Mambo card base!!

I can't wait for you to see the rest of these amazing alternatives today! Make sure you click along the list below to get even more inspiration!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Beyond The Horizon Blog Hop

Hey there!! Happy Friday!!! I am happy to report that life has returned to its normal chaotic ways! Where I am running in six different directions always and mother nature likes to put kinks in my plans! Troy is back at work on light duty... Whatever that is in man language. Did I mention that Wesley decided to do baseball? Like I said life has been crazy...
Today the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Team is hopping with our March Kit Beyond The Horizon. As I am sure that some of you are aware, our kits were delayed... so our hop was delayed! This amazing kit comes with not just one but TWO stamp sets! Let me show you what I have created!

This card has a rich base of Bumblebee cardstock that is sadly retiring, I have paired it with the also retiring Misty Moonlight. On the Misty Moonlight layer I have distressed the edges and used our Blending Brushes with a bit of the Misty Moonlight ink, its included with your kit! I also trimmed the card front down and used the Blending Brush around the edges of it before adhering it to the Misty Moonlight layer. I have stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Basic White with Old Olive ink and accented that strip with a tab of the Old Olive strip provided in the kit and of course I added a Linen Thread bow. It is layered onto a piece of Basic White that I stamped with small chevron like pattern from the kit in Bumblebee ink. Before adhering the sentiment to the card, I stamped the leafy piece with Versamark ink and used some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and my Heat Tool. Then I adhered my sentiment piece and added a Brushed Metallic Dot.

Thank you so much for stopping in today I can't wait for you to see what the rest of my friends have made! You can click along the list below for more inspiration from the Beyond The Horizon Kit!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Safari Celebration Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! I am exhausted... Mr. Tucker is 4 weeks post op from his back surgery and I am so glad that his follow up is Monday!  He has not been the easiest patient! The kids are just weeks away from having pigs in the barn. I couldn't be more excited...
I can't wait for today's hop! We are all hopping with the Safari Celebration kit! Let me show you what I have created

This card starts with a card base from the kit and has a mat of Rich Razzleberry. I took another card base and cut it down to 3-3/4" x 5" and added a bit of the In The Wild DSP and a strip from the inner part of an envelope from the kit. I chose to use the Antelope die cut from the kit. The banner die cut also from the kit was the perfect accent, especially after stamping the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry. A bit of Linen Thread and this cuties was done!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Kisses and Hugs Kit

Good Morning and Happy Thursday! I hope that today finds you well and warm! Its been a doozy of a couple weeks. Troy had back surgery last Friday so I have been playing nurse to him and being mom! We got a bit of snow yesterday, I was really wanting to have a snow day. Selfishly so though, just that I can continue to cleaning and getting other things done instead of being at Troy's beckon call... I know, horrible!
Today our A Paper Pumpkin Thing Team is hopping with the January 2022 Kiss and Hugs Kit. Honestly, I have had only had my kit for a couple of days... and by the sounds of things, not everyone has gotten their kits yet! This kit is geared towards the Valentine holiday and is super cute with a mix of Very Vanilla, Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride with accents of Gold. It only took me a couple of hours to whip up these alternates and I can't wait to show them to you!

As you can see, this kit pairs nicely with the Daffodil Afternoons DSP from the Sale-a-Bration catalog and the Scalloped Kraft Treat Boxes. There is an amazing little add on of treat boxes that I decided to skip. The good news is that the kit paired so nicely with these. Let's take a look at the projects!

My card started with a mat of Flirty Flamingo and the nice window pane plaid from the Daffodil Afternoons DSP. I cut the Very Vanilla Gold Dotted Heart from the kit and adhered it on the left there with a bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. On the right is a Vellum Heart also from the kit. I added a band of the XO paper that is on the inside of the envelopes from the kit that is accented with the Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon. The cute little square that is stamped with "For You" in Gray Granite is also from the kit and accented with a Gold Gilded Gem. Thick Very Vanilla was my only choice and proved to be so lovely.

This great little treat box filled with candy is decorated to coordinate with the card. Again I used the window pane plaid from the Daffodil Afternoons. I used the hearts from the kit and a bit of Tear N Tape to create a belly band of sorts. Two of the arrows were adhered and heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder. Again, I accented the sentiment with Gold Gilded Gems.

I am so excited for you to see what the rest of the team has made today! You can click along the list below to see even more alternatives to the January 2022 Kit!
Have a great day!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Haunts & Harvest Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is doing amazingly well! I am so glad that it is finally fall! I was sure ready for the cool off! Football, Volleyball and everything else is in full swing! So my schedule is staying rather busy! I am still finding time to get into my studio to get some crafting done!
This month the A Paper Pumpkin Thing team is hopping with the Haunts and Harvest Kit! This an amazing little kit made up of favors... My goal was to make something that was NOT favors... or even fall for that matter!

I have taken one of the bottoms of my favor box for cute little hexagon shape. I had a bit of the buffalo plaid Peaceful Place Paper on my workspace. Who am I kidding?? I have a ton of my paper ALL over my workspace! I have adhered this to a layer of Smoky Slate cardstock and it is matted to a piece of Soft Succulent. A small banner with a Gold heat embossed sentiment from the kit was just the right touch with a bit of a Linen Thread and Gold Gilded Gems! This card was so easy to make!

I can't wait for you to see what my crafty friends have come up with today! You can click along the list below to see even more alternative ideas for this months kit!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Expressions In Color Kit

Happy Thursday! I can't believe that it is already July?! Can you? Yesterday was pretty uneventful, although today we will have guys installing new siding on our home. I can't wait to see what it will look like finished. I have been busy crafting and stamping away the last few days... today I may actually have to start cleaning house a bit more. Somehow we usually end up with people over for 4th of July, we have a great view of the fireworks in town and usually set some of our own off.
A Paper Pumpkin Thing is going to shift to the first Thursday of the month. What this means for you is that even though we are in July, we are creating with Junes kit! It is easier for all of us because of the uncertainty of when we get our packages from the post office.

Todays hop is focused on the Expressions in Color Kit from June! This kit coordinates with the Artistically Inked Bundle and Expressions in Ink suite! Lets take a look!

Today's projects came together rather quickly, I have made a cute little box to hold a small pack of candy and this amazing card took maybe 20 minutes to come up with! The kit was so easy to work with as it coordinated with the Expressions In Ink suite.

The card started with the vellum die cut in the kit. It was so cool to find out that the die in the bundle would fit right over it. I chose to die cut it out of the Gold and White stripe in the Designer Series Paper. I inked it up with my blending brushes and adhered it over the vellum using our adhesive sheets. The Polished Pink layer has been stamped around the edges using the background like stamp in the Artistically Inked stamp set. I also did this to the strip that goes across the card front. A strip of Basic White with a Gold heat embossed sentiment was the perfect touch over the top of the Expressions In Ink designer series paper. This was perfect for the Bumblebee card base from the kit!

So don't ask me the exact measurements right away, I scored, it fit and I was done! I accented this little treat holder with a bit of the card front from the kit cut into strips to fluff it up a bit! A bit of Gold Thread was the perfect touch!

I can't wait for you all to see what the team has come up with today! You can click along the hop list below for even more inspiration!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Here’s To You Blog Hop

PHEW! Happy Thursday! I can't believe we are into April already?? We have a barn full of pigs and the kids 4H projects are in full swing! We are so excited for the potential of a relatively normal fair!
The Paper Pumpkin March kit is called Here's To You and features some really cool stencils! My designs today for the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop are focused on the REALLY cool stencils and I can't wait to show them to you!

I decided to focus my projects on the stencils and stamps. For my card, I used Magenta Madness ink with the sponge and star stencil from the kit. The Stitched Stars came in handy as an accent using Coastal Cabana and Magenta Madness cardstock along with Basic Black.

For my coordinating project I grabbed the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box... again focusing on the fun and amazing stencils, I decided to add a few drops of Coastal Cabana Re-inker to some Shimmery Embossing Paste. It was so much fun to use the embossing paste with the star stencil! My craft room is a disaster and I couldn't find my stamp set. So I reached for the Pretty Perennials to create my sentiment. This box is tied closing using a bit of the Metallic Mesh.

I can't wait for you to see the rest of my friends projects on today's hop.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Sending Hearts Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! I can't believe the week is almost over... The kids had a blast sledding yesterday afternoon, I even thought about keeping them home today to sled. Notice I said thought. I do miss them being home. For dinner I cheated a bit and used some of my stash of Tastefully Simple and whipped up some potato soup.
Today is the day that myself and some amazing stampers join together for the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! This month we are hopping with the January Paper Pumpkin Kit Sending Hearts! This kit also had an amazing add on if you felt inclined! I actually didn't end up getting the add on and I can't wait to show you what I created with this months kit and maybe a few other goodies!

This project really isn't a card, it is a jumbo tag  that holds a little valentine in a pocket, cute right?? I have used Poppy Parade as a base with the small polka dot from the True Love Designer Series Paper. I made the pocket using a bit of Tear N Tape and a card base from the kit. The Heart Punch Pack came in handy with the Petal Pink DSP that I decorated the pocket with. It was perfect for the "Love" die cut. My cute little snail is colored with Stampin' Blends. I again used the Heart Punch Pack to create this cute little card that fits into the pocket on the jumbo tag.

I can't wait for you to see all the amazing creations on today's hop! You can click along using the list below!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Jolly Gingerbread

Good Morning! Happy Thursday! I can't wait until this weekend, our tree is coming out! We will decorate with what we have ready to go on the tree and then I have some vinyl coming from my one my best friends Brittany Moon to create my new farmhouse tree!
The A Paper Pumpkin Thing Team is hopping a week later than the usual. I didn't want for everyone to have to worry about the hop and Thanksgiving...

November's kit was called Jolly Gingerbread, it was so much fun to play with this kit, I came up with this quick and easy last minute Santa type set!

I have paired the Jolly Gingerbread kit with the Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper. They go so nicely with a Real Red card stock background and sheer ribbon! On the Mini Pizza Box I have heat embossed the house in white on Cinnamon Cider cardstock.  I love the gift bag the stamps from the Sweetest Time made a great background. The gift tag was inspired by a recent retreat I had attended and I just love the mix of ribbons. The polka dot tulle is even colored with a Shaded Spruce blend!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Hello Pumpkin Blog Hop

Good Morning, Can you believe in a week we will be in October?! While I would agree that this year has seemed to drag out with anomalies at any given opportunity, I still can't believe that October is a week away. We finally get to start high school football and Wesley has decided to play. I trust that our athletics director and administration has everything in place for our kids to have a fun but safe football season...
A Paper Pumpkin Thing is back with the amazing September kit "Hello Pumpkin", This kit is amazing with its diversity of doing a fun fall treat box or you can make them into Trick Or Treats. I decided for today's hop to use the great little pumpkin stamp and my Stampin' Blends... Let me show you what I have created today!

What I love about fall is the crisp air and plaid patterns you can find at all the stores. The pumpkin decor and burlap garlands are also a favorite of mine. When I started creating my projects for today that is what I was channeling. I have used the Stampin' Blends in Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive to color my Memento stamped pumpkins.

Once I had my pumpkins colored I decided to create my projects. My card is accented with a nice neutral piece of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. I have roughed up the edges of my Old Olive card stock before adding it to my Cajun Craze base. The sentiment is from the Love For Leaves stamp set and suited the feel of this card perfectly.

This cute little bulging box is holding a cute little tube of lip balm. It is adhered to a base of Cajun Craze much like the card it is accented with a bit of ribbon and an Old Olive mat. The pumpkin is also colored with the Stampin' Blends stated above.

I can't wait for you to see what my friends have come up with today! There is sure to be some amazing alternatives for this months kit. Click along the list below to tour the whole hop, hope you have an amazing day!
