Stamp Ink Paper 100 Card Makers Choice

Happy Tuesday! Today is Stamp Ink Paper's 100th Challenge!! Kids just got on the bus for their last FULL day of school. Where does the time go? There are times where I really wish I could just press pause and enjoy them being young/little. I will have a 6th grader which earns me at least 20 new gray hairs and to think that Joshua will be in his LAST year of elementary school is mind boggling! Where does the time go? I kind of want to cry...

For our 100th challenge we have no rules!! It is truly a love hate relationship when we have these challenges... I chose to use one of the new hostess sets available June 1st!

Now... If you know me, you would say "Oh!! There is the Andrea I remember!!!". This style of card is something I would always fall back on although it seems like lately that I have gone completely rouge and not honored the Shabby Chic style that got me into my love of card making.

My card started with a base of the new in color Powder Pink with a rich matte of Soft Suede card stock. My Very Vanilla stamped layer is stamped using the new hostess set "Background Bits" which will be available on June 1st. There some soft script in Powder Pink, a nice rich border of Soft Suede and some fun Pear Pizzazz bursts all from that set. My Powder Pink stamped butterfly is from the returning Butterfly Basics set and was so lovely to use with this great hostess set.

Thank You so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see what you come up with... The possibilities are endless!

Stamp Ink Paper 80 Card-makers Choice

Happy New Year!!! I decided when my creative obligations took a hiatus for the winter holidays, so did I! We had a fairly low key Christmas with some wacky weather. The kid's have been entertaining themselves with all of their new loot! New Year's Eve was rather eventful when Troy and I had to make a 3 hour drive to Denver to take our oldest to the hospital to have his appendix removed! So needless to say our 2016 went out with a bang and we started our new year with one less appendix in the family!

To kick off 2017 Stamp Ink Paper has a easy challenge for you! Make a card using your favorite Stamp, Ink and Papers! Let me show you what I have made for you!

My card is a base of Very Vanilla. I have matted my Crumb Cake stamped layer with Blushing Bride.
You will notice my cute little lace detail in Crumb Cake ink on the side. That is a fabulous set you can earn for free with a $50 dollar purchase from Stampin' Up! starting on January 4th! It is called Delicate Details and I just that it is a photopolymer set. The Stitched Satin Blushing Bride Ribbon was just the right touch. My fabulous Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper Butterfly coordinates amazingly with my stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits in the Falling In Love Designer series paper. I, of course layered this onto one of the scalloped circles from the Layering Circles also cut out of the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. A few basic rhinestones and this card was set!

Thank You so much for stopping by! All items used to make this card are listed below!
I can't wait to see what you make!

We are hopping with the theme "Dog Days of Summer".... Not a well thought out theme on my part since I am the one that comes up with this stuff LOL! However each of our hoppers has created something summer like for you and I hope you feel inspired! I can't wait to show you mine!

My Summer Card and Mini Treat Bag Picnic Place Setting

First let me start off with when have you EVER seen me do a YELLOW card??? Let's go with almost NEVER! But I LOVE IT!!! Let me get you the details...
The card base started with a base of Daffodil Delight. I really didn't have any options because I already knew that I was going to use the lemon and coordinating dot papers from the Fruit Stand DSP! My matte is Crushed Curry. It seemed to be the most monochromatic with the Daffodil Delight. I chose the lemons as my paper and adhered my layers with a strip of the retired White Jute Ribbon! What better on a hot summer day than a glass of ice cold lemonade!! My glass is made using our great new bundle Jar of Love! I used the dies to cut the background of my shaker background, Acetate and frame! The frame is made of Daffodil Delight card stock, stamped in Versamark ink and the heat embossed with Stampin' Emboss White! Once all the components for my shaker was made I sprinkled some small dew drops, Marshmallow sequins and Sparkly Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh! Don't you think it looks like ice? Once I got this put together with the Foam Strips I cut about a 1/4" slit (where you can't see it) to stick my straw into. I bet you are wondering how I made my straw.... It's the stripe heat embossed in white from Butterfly Basics... I know! Clever, Right? To finish this great little beverage off I wrapped some Linen Thread around the top with a tag from the Tags and Labels Framelits. The sentiment on the tag is also from the Jar of Love set. Wouldn't you know that I just so happen to have some Crushed Curry embossing powder left!! So I heat embossed the sentiment and added a few little enamel dots and the slice of lemon... Wait it is about to get better!

I knew as soon as I finished the card what I wanted for a project! My picnic place setting seemed to fit the theme! Complete with plasticware and a napkin this Mini Treat bag made in Daffodil Delight DSP is SO adorable!  I folded down the front and added a piece of corrugated kraft under the edge. I took the time to fussy cut the lemons, adhered the dew drops with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and then the slice. Can you see the Clear Wink of Stella on the slice of lemon? It was also used on the "Enjoy" from the Mini Treat Bag die set! I wasn't quite sure how to make it all work but once I found the Pear Pizzazz DSP I used the Tags and Labels Framelits again and cut out the polka dot tag, adhered the lemons to the top, and adhered the sentiment towards the bottom. I dotted the "j" with an enamel dot. To finish this tag I wrapped the Linen Thread around the bag and tied a quick bow in the center of the lemon!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure you tour the WHOLE hop! I may be asking questions on Wednesday about this hop!!

Fab Friday 82 Color Challenge

Hey guys! Happy Friday and all is starting to look up here at that Tucker house!
Taryn seems to be on the mend but still has a nasty cough! The horse is out on pasture today with all of her pony pals... All in all things are looking up!

I was so excited to see the new challenge for Fab Friday this week! I love to use the Subtle colors and this just fed into my addiction! I can't wait to show you what I came up with!

This beauty started with a lovely base of Blushing Bride card stock. I chose to use Crumb Cake as a neutral to matte my Mint Macaron Hard Wood stamped Very Vanilla. I also made the strip across with Crumb Cake and added the Mint Macaron Dotted Lace trim at the bottom. I folded our doily just over the edge and adhered it to my card with my adhesive runner. I knew that I somehow needed to incorporate the Pool Party. Fortunately I still have both the Blushing Bride and Pool Party embossing powders! They sure came in handy on this card. I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set and stamped the butterflies using Versamark ink. Then,(Obviously) I heat embossed butterflies in Blushing Bride and Pool Party on the Very Vanilla card stock.  The Big Shot with magnetic base got to come out and cut out these lovelies! I attached them to my card using Stampin' Dimensionals! Now, what is a card without a sentiment? The Expression Natural Elements Celebrate was the perfect to make this card! I adhered this using our great Fine Tip Glue Pen... My finale? Sequins of course!!! I used Pretty Pink Posh Sparkly Clear and the Blushing Bride ones from the embellishment kit in the Occasions catalog!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a Fabulous week!
