Stamp Ink Paper 188 Designers Choice Birthday Shaker

Happy Tuesday! It was a cold one yesterday and we were even getting some snow flurries that weren't even on any radar!!!  The freezing fog makes things so picturesque but it is soooooo damn cold!!!! I chose to stay in my craft room while the kids had a day off from school to bicker, clean and play Xbox (with time limits of course!)

Today I am designing with the Stamp Ink Paper Design Team!! We are designing with NO RULES... Well let me be honest for a minute, we had technique set up as the challenge... Justin and I question my judgement on that so we made it a designers choice!

This great little shaker card was made using the Birthday Cheer bundle!
I actually made this on a Facebook Live so you can see how I created this!

This card has a base of Granny Apple Green with a Coastal Cabana frame that I have made using our Rectangle Stitched Dies! I have used Whisper White to cut out the Birthday Present edgelit that is available in this bundle and adhered into the frame with Tear & Tape. Tear & Tape was also used to adhere the Window Sheet to my Rectangle Stitched Frame! Once this was created I used our Foam Adhesive Strips and Iridescent Sequin Assortment to create my shaker. This was backed with the monochromatic stripe from the How Sweet It Is DSP! I tied a nice Whisper White Bakers Twine Bow with sentiment at the top. After my live I decided to stamp the Present in Memento Ink and color with the Stampin' Blends!

Thank You So much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you create with this week's challenge!

I have provided a full list of products below for you to shop with!

A GIVEAWAY to take Paper Pumpkin Broadway Bound

Saturday in the craft room!!! If you caught my Facebook live yesterday, I received my first BIG Annual Catalog Order. I showed off all the fun new things that I chose to order including the Broadway Bound Suite!!! Did you know that this suite coordinates with June's Paper Pumpkin??? The bundle and DSP in this suite are absolutely FABULOUS, so I am sure you will want the Paper Pumpkin Kit!

I am going to be honest the catalog doesn't give this paper enough credit, anything with Gold Foil polka dots with Lovely Lipstick and Lemon Twist is a winner in my eyes but then on top of that you add the Basic Black! Another great added feature for this suite is the fact that some of the dies cut the shapes of the DSP.

I must confess I got a bit crazy when I realized this Framelit from the Broadway Lights Framelights cut the party hats! How cool is that?? So I decided to take my party hats and my Metallic Sequin Assortment and make a shaker card!

So obviously the card started with my shaker element. There is a great die that cuts the frame which is shown here in Lovely Lipstick, it has small holes for you to add the Metallic Pearls to give a studded look. This takes a little while to do. Once I had the frame cut I adhered it to a small piece of Window Sheet and fussy cut to fit my frame. The Foam Adhesive Strips are amazing for shakers and fit perfectly behind the frame. I chose a piece of  Broadway Bound Specialty DSP for the backing to my shaker and again fussy cut it to fit behind the frame.  My shaker bits are the die cut party hats I mentioned above with sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment. A nice bow using the Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon is tied around a coordinating sheet of Broadway Bound Specialty DSP and Lemon Lime Twist Matte. I wasn't quite done at this point. The Lemon Lime Twist Wish die cut is also in this bundle, I have cut it twice for some added dimension. To finish this card I stamped the "Make A" with Lemon Twist Ink and made like tab above the shaker using the Detailed Trio Punch. A couple more party hats and this card was complete!

This suite was so much fun to work with and I can't wait to see how it coordinates with this months Paper Pumpkin! Don't forget to get signed up no later than 1159 PM MDT tomorrow!

TGIF Challenges 99 Baby! Oh Baby!

Friday! How I have been waiting for you! I am ready to put this week behind me. 3 weeks from tomorrow this girl will be at OnStage San Diego among all of my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator friends whoopin up over a sneak peek of the upcoming annual catalog! Can you believe that it is already that time of year?? This will be my first one EVER. I am sure the lovely Jeanna will show me the ropes. It is so exciting to have it in my hometown though!

This week the TGIF Challenges has a fun baby themed challenge! It seems like lately I have friends who are having one last one. I am not going to lie, I miss when the kids were little. However since Troy is 12 years my senior I am pretty sure that we are done. Although I said that after Joshua and that is how I ended up with Taryn!

Well look at that! Andrea did punch art... well not punch art, it is more like die and punch art. With a shaker element so that it looks like a rattle! Adorable right? Sue Plote and I discussed this and it really came together easily! A Little Foxy DSP was perfect for this gender neutral baby card! My card has a base of Smoky Slate with a coordinating matte of Pool Party! I used the Layering Circles dies to create my rattle. I was stumped when I needed to create a proportionate handle but the Classic Label was just the size and was heat embossed in Clear Stampin' Emboss powder to give it some depth. The 1/2 Circle Punch at the bottom and paper bow from the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment kit were just the right touch! The Suite Sayings set has this adorable sentiment that I stamped onto the Whisper White Banner with Calypso Coral ink.

Thank You so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see what you make for that special bundle of joy!

Stamp Ink Paper 73 Grateful Theme Challenge

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! I am so excited that it is truly starting to feel like fall here! I even got to wear a scarf and my favorite sweater vest yesterday! I am completely swamped with craft fairs and upcoming classes I am not even sure which way is up!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we are creating with a Grateful Theme and I can't wait for you to see what I came up with... but here is what is crazy, The Paper Players have a "Thankfulness" Challenge so I am going to be submitting my card to them too!

Voila! I am so grateful for my friends near and far and couldn't think of a better card to show my gratitude!
The card started with Stampin' Up! Project Life set Hello Lovely. I used a circle die from the Layering Circles to die cut the center of the "wreath". After attaching my Window Sheet and get my Foam Adhesive Strips all set in place I added my sequins from Hello Lovely Accessory Pack. You will notice I added some extra gold and some seed beads to give it more guts. Once I had my shaker bits in place I added a patterned piece from Hello Lovely. Now that I had this all ready I decided that the wood like DSP from Serene Scenery was perfect for this card. I again used the Foam Adhesive Strips so that the card front popped off my card base of Tip Top Taupe card stock. I wasn't quite done... every card needs a sentiment! My Bunch of Blossoms set was still on my desk from the other day and I found this fabulous sentiment and how cute is it on Stampin' Ups new Stitched Shape Framelits!!! FINALLY! I have been waiting for 2 years for us to carry stitched dies! These little lovelies go perfectly with the layering dies and that is just what I did. I added my sentiment to a lovely gold scallop circle from the Layering Circles collection and it went perfect with a nice Linen Thread bow!

Thank You so much for stopping by! You can find a full product list below... Now go on!! Let me see your Grateful Cards!
