OSAT Pretty In Pink Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! Hope your week is treating you well! It was a scorcher here yesterday! Even by the time Troy was off of work around 5 PM, it was still 100 degrees (Fahrenheit). So the kids and I set up the slip n slide on the big hill. They played on that until almost 8! The weather was a bit questionable to the east of us and I wasn't sure if it was going to build up over the top of us. Dinner was pretty much set to go because it was a build your own salad night.
This month The One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop Team is designing with the theme "Pretty in Pink". We are all using our favorites shades of pink from our Stampin' Up! palette and creating some amazing designs. I have paired the Cling Mount set So Much Love with our Stitched Triangle Dies and created today's design. Let me show you what I have created...

The pinks I have chosen today are Flirty Flamingo and Blushing Bride. There really isn't a pink I don't like and I didn't want to use Magenta Madness because I just used it two days ago! I have die cut a bunch of the Stitched Triangles, in different sizes and started staggering them across the card. You will notice I added some Gold Foil as an accent. Once I had a achieved my desired look, I added a strip of Gray Granite. I love this color paired up with a pink of any sort and it was perfect for this card. I stamped one of the flower stamps from the So Much Love in Memento Tuxedo Black so that I could use my Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends. I snuck in a bit of Rococo Rose and colored the leaves in Soft Seafoam. When I fussy cut this, I got rid of some of the smaller flowers. I dotted the center with the Champagne Shimmer Paint and added a bit of Wink of Stella to the flower. This is adhered over the Whisper White strip that is stamped with Blushing Bride ink. I chose the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to accent my design. This is neatly layering onto a mat of Blushing Bride and on a bright base of Flirty Flamingo.

My little sanitizer holder is made from a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock with an accent of the DSP from the Brights DSP stack. I added a scrap of the Gold and White stripe from this past months Paper Pumpkin so that it would coordinate with the card. I tied a quick bow of Polka Dot Tulle at the top of the bottle.

I am so glad that you stopped by today! I can not WAIT for you to see what my 20 other friends have created for this hop! There is full list of all the blogs to tour below!
Have an amazing day!

TGIF Challenges 220 Sketch Challenge

Happy Friday! Do you have big plans for your weekend? We are heading down to the south east corner of Colorado to celebrate Mr. Tucker's birthday!! It will be fun for sure. The kids will finally get to see the new Toy Story, we plan on hitting the pool and having a game night. The possibilities are endless though!

This week with the TGIF Challenges we have a sketch for you! You can get all the details by clicking below!
I went a bit abstract when interpreting the sketch this week. I had plans to use the design I started for a sketch but when one of my Stampin' Blends ran out of ink   (couldn't get the replacement in time to finish my swaps) I decided to go a different direction, which left me with 21 one of these Good Morning Magnolia stamped using the Wild Rose Dies to mess with... Let me show you what I have for you today!

No matter what I tried while taking pictures I felt like I couldn't get a good shot. The card started with a piece of Thick Whisper White Card Stock. I used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp with Early Espresso ink. It is nicely matted with Early Espresso card stock and Pool Party card base!
Then I chose to use the stitched label like die from the Wild Rose Dies. I only colored what was on that die cut. I have used the Rococo Rose and Old Olive Blends combo's to color the flower. I have accented it with a bit of a Light Pool Party Shadow and Light Crumb Cake Center. It needs a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to set it off! A bit of Linen Thread, Copper Heat Embossed Sentiment and a few pearls and this beauty was done.

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see all the different interpretations that you come up with this beautiful sketch!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Hugs From Shelli Hop

Happy Thursday! It is the LAST Thursday of the month and we all know what that means! It is time for the...
For those of you who are new to the hop let me give you a quick back story. This hop came together by pure accident when the "A Sara Thing" kit came out, it was impromptu, quick but it was amazing because at the time there was nothing out there like it. Here we are almost two years later crushing it each month with alternative ideas for each months kit!

This month is special, it is designed by Stampin' Up! Shelli Gardner, so I wanted to make the hop special by adding some of my friends from the Artisan Design Team as well as some the alumni. This was the first time that Paper Pumpkin was offered globally and I can't be more excited! Enough about that!!! Let me show you what I have whipped up for this super special hop!

There isn't an element of this kit that I wouldn't use in my stamp room DAILY, but if you KNOW me you know that I gravitated to the feathers... I HAD TO USE THESE FEATHERS!!!!! It took me like 10 tries to figure out just exactly what I was doing. This amazing emboss resist technique was created with Pretty Peacock and Pool Party! I can't believe how well these colors worked together. After achieving my ombre effect, I flicked some water on it create some water spots on it to give it a bit more visual texture and die cut it with the Rectangle Stitched Dies. Next, I took the new In Color 2019-2021 DSP and tore a piece of the Pretty Peacock piece with words to give it a bit of a shabby look. This is layered under a 1/2" strip of Whisper White that is stamped with the Dear Friend sentiment from the kit using Pretty Peacock ink. This is adhered over some Whisper White Bakers Twine that I have Doubled Up with Stampin' Dimensionals. My Pool Party stamped feather was the perfect touch, I even sponge daubed the edges with Pretty Peacock. To finish this amazing card off I layered it over a strip of Whisper White that I have embossed with the 3D Corrugated Embossing Folder and added a few sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment. Now let me show you my 3D...

So, I have used A Lot of little pieces in this from this kit... including fussy cutting the nest! I have used an inexpensive white frame with a thin piece of cork to create this amazing framed art piece! I have colored the eggs with Stampin' Blends and added Wink of Stella (You can't really see it in this picture). A few flowers from the kit and the branch from the Seasonal Layers Dies was the perfect touch. I wish that my cork had been a bit thicker so that I could have turned the little metal embellishments into pins for the cork! This is all nicely layered on my remaining piece of Pretty Peacock DSP and nicely accented with the Pretty Peacock Velvet Ribbon!

I want to thank you ALL for touring the large but AMAZING hop! The people on this hop inspire me daily and I can't wait to share that inspiration with you! The link list is below, happy hopping!!

OSAT Bring on the Birthdays Blog Hop

Phew! Happy Thursday to all of you! My kids are on a snow day because of the major blizzard that hit Colorado... We were lucky in that they were able to go to school for half the day yesterday just to be sent home early and have a snow day today... which also means spring break starts early!!

This month with the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop we are hopping with the theme Bring on The Birthdays! There are quite a few of us with March birthdays on this hop. I say us because I am one! I turn 40 on the 21st! I know that it is just a number but I am mostly excited about my mom flying in to see me! Enough about that, let me show you what I have created for this Birthday Bash!!

I can't get enough of our How Sweet It Is suite in our Occasions catalog. In this suite you can find the Sweetest Thing Bundle, How Sweet Is DSP and the Sweet Pins & Tags. Of course there are a few more items in this suite but I couldn't name the all! My card starts with a fabulous base of Granny Apple Green and bright mat of Melon Mambo, I just can't get enough of these bright and cheerful colors. I have taken a piece of Whisper White and stamped Smoky Slate candies scattered across the bottom. My Pool Party Stampin' Blends were perfect for a glass like candy jar. I cut a WHOLE BUNCH of candies out of card stock colors that coordinate with the Designer Series Paper Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, but I went a bit rogue and used Daffodil Delight instead of Pineapple Punch. They are quite a few of the little candy dies, so I just cut all of them out of each color so that I had extras to use later... I placed them at the bottom of the jar as though they spilled out. To finish this card off I added a 1" strip of DSP across the top. This created a perfect place for a Coastal Cabana and Gorgeous Grape stamped sentiment banner.

To coordinate with my card I have used the Window Box Thinlit Dies with Coastal Cabana card stock. I even used the candle die in this set on two of the "squares" on the out side of the box. To give this box a bit more of a party punch I have added stitched squares using the Stitched Shape Framelits using the How Sweet it is DSP. Remember those extra candies? I used a few on the box! On the top of the box I have used a 2 1/4" Granny Apple Green punched circle and layered a Pearlized Doily with a Starburst Punch of the DSP. A nice bow of Polka Dot Tulle was perfect for this party favor. Another super fabulous feature about this bundle is that the dies in the Sweetest Thing Bundle actually cut pieces of the DSP. So I die cut a cute little jar to layer on to my Sweet Tag that is pinned with the coordinating Melon Mambo Pin!

Did I leave anything out!? I sure hope not! I am so glad that you stopped by today! You can continue along the hop by clicking through the list below! I can't wait for you to see what all of my fabulously crafty friends have come up with!

Creation Station Garden Party Blog Hop

It is a Creation Station Easter Sunday and what better to have then a Garden Party?

Welcome to the April edition of the Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop. I know that many of you will be getting ready for church and family festivities today but we have an amazing "Garden Party" Theme for you to check out!

I think that many of us often forget about the amazing stuff in the Annual Catalog once the Occasions catalog comes out. Today I have created a card and cracker box using the Petal Garden DSP as well as the Petal Garden Memories and More Card Pack. These card packs are so versatile!!!

The fun thing about this card is that it has NO STAMPS! I didn't even have to get a little bit inky. The banners were created by cropping the sentiment. The fun leafy green stickers are also from the Petal Garden Memories and More and I actually stuck one to a Fabulous Foil Acetate stitched circle. I embellished this Rich Razzleberry with Sweet Sugarplum card with a nice Whisper White Organza Bow and 3 little Basic Pearls!

Here is a closer look at my rose embellishment on my lovely little cracker box. I fussy cut it out of the Petal Garden DSP and then glued it to a piece of Thick Whisper White Card Stock. I used a sponge dauber to brush the edges with some Sweet Sugar Plum ink!!

Thank You so much for joining in on our Garden Party today! I hope you enjoy the rest of your Easter Sunday! To continue on our hop (pun intended) you can find a full list of the participants below!

TGIF 119 Color Challenge

TGIF!!! This week Friday is not quite as exciting as others... The kids and I will be spending our day getting Miss Maisey ready for the Yuma County Fair Horse Show. I am so excited to watch my kids follow in my footsteps in their love for horses. Can I get Yee-Haw? I am sure we will be taking many pictures!

This week with the TGIF Challenges we have fun and summery color challenge for you all to play along with. You can always get details by clicking the challenge graphic below.

I knew my plan and soon as I pulled the ink pads for our color challenge.  The Fabulous Flamingo set was perfect for this great vacation scenerey! My greenery was created using the Lemon Lime Twist ink and worked perfectly with my Pool Party water. My Crushed Curry Chair from the Seasonal Layters Thinlits  has some Clear Wink of Stella that kind of got a little crazy towards then end. I actually used the Wink of Stella on some of the greenery and water. It is really hard to photograph at times. Some Linen Thread with Crushed Curry Bakers Twine and of course a few Glitter Enamel Dots were just the right touch for the Pool Party Card Base and Lemon Lime Twist matted card!

OSAT Oh My Pumpkins and Pie Blog Hop

Happy Thursday everyone! I can't believe we are already in October and that it is already the second Thursday of the month can you?

It is time for the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop. This month our theme is "Oh My Pumpkins and Pie!". Did you get to me by way of  Renee Romain Ondrajka? That Pumpkin Pie she made with the Cutie Pie Thinlit was totally adorable! If you didn't get here by way of Renee make sure you check out her project!

You are going to see a few new designers this month Kayla McGinnisWendy Cranford and Lisa Altman! Make sure you make them feel welcome! I know that each of them are very talented!

Sometimes when I am creating for a hop like today's I know instantly what I am going to do... FALL IS A STRUGGLE FOR ME! There I said it! I mean, I want to TRY to do something I haven't done in the past! Well I think I nailed it... How many times can you say that you have seen me watercolor?? Maybe once... or twice, but that is irrelevant! I really went out on a limb with this month's card!

So when I think fall I think of pumpkins, scarecrows, and leaves changing colors! Well on this card I went for the trifecta! It all started with the pumpkin! Can you believe this plump cutie is from the fabulous Jar of Haunts set? I stamped it using the Basic Black Archival ink and heat set it so that it wouldn't bleed when I used my Aqua Painter to do my water coloring and of course I used Pumpkin Pie ink with our water color paper! Once it sat for a bit to dry, I used my paper snips to fussy cut it out. My scarecrow head is also water colored! He is from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set and I actually ended up fussy cutting his head and putting some Linen Thread fringe at the bottom to make it look like straw. I colored his nose with Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker before using my Aqua Painter with So Saffron ink and Wild Wasabi for his hat. When that part was all done I set it all aside and started with main part of the card. It is a Wild Wasabi card stock base with a So Saffron card stock matte. I used the Wild Wasabi and So Saffron from the Subtles DSP stack to create the strip across the bottom with my Linen Thread bow. My cute little fall leaves at the top were created using the leaf stamp out of the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set with So Saffron ink. My sentiment? Oh yeah it is from the CHRISTMAS set Oh What fun!

My Cute coordinating Bag Tag will call it was made using the Jar of Haunts set! The Mummy was stamped in Wild Wasabi ink and cut with coordinating framelit. I didn't like the eyes, so added the googly eyes to make it more dimensional and spooky! I finished this little honey up with a strand of Pumpkin Pie sequins and my sentiment tag!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure you tour the whole hop! It is crammed full of creativity! The creative Pam Staples is next on the hop! Her card is amazing! I can't wait for you to see it!! You can get to her by clicking the next button below! If for any reason you get lost, we all have a link list at the bottom of our post!

OSAT Blog Hoppers Dog Days of Summer

Hey there and good Thursday to you! It is the second Thursday of the month!!! That's where you can find me and 18 members of One Stamp At A Time Cards & More Facebook group doing a fabulous blog hop! Did you get to by way of Dena and her Creativity Cave? If so, Welcome!! This month we have some very special guest designers Rick Adkins and Tracy Elsom! Make sure you pop over to their blogs to see that amazing creations they have made to inspire you!

Those of you who are members of the One Stamp At A Time group know that we will be bringing back GAMES!! With Games comes prizes! So games will be back on Wednesday @ 5 PM Mountain Time!

We are hopping with the theme "Dog Days of Summer".... Not a well thought out theme on my part since I am the one that comes up with this stuff LOL! However each of our hoppers has created something summer like for you and I hope you feel inspired! I can't wait to show you mine!

My Summer Card and Mini Treat Bag Picnic Place Setting

First let me start off with when have you EVER seen me do a YELLOW card??? Let's go with almost NEVER! But I LOVE IT!!! Let me get you the details...
The card base started with a base of Daffodil Delight. I really didn't have any options because I already knew that I was going to use the lemon and coordinating dot papers from the Fruit Stand DSP! My matte is Crushed Curry. It seemed to be the most monochromatic with the Daffodil Delight. I chose the lemons as my paper and adhered my layers with a strip of the retired White Jute Ribbon! What better on a hot summer day than a glass of ice cold lemonade!! My glass is made using our great new bundle Jar of Love! I used the dies to cut the background of my shaker background, Acetate and frame! The frame is made of Daffodil Delight card stock, stamped in Versamark ink and the heat embossed with Stampin' Emboss White! Once all the components for my shaker was made I sprinkled some small dew drops, Marshmallow sequins and Sparkly Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh! Don't you think it looks like ice? Once I got this put together with the Foam Strips I cut about a 1/4" slit (where you can't see it) to stick my straw into. I bet you are wondering how I made my straw.... It's the stripe heat embossed in white from Butterfly Basics... I know! Clever, Right? To finish this great little beverage off I wrapped some Linen Thread around the top with a tag from the Tags and Labels Framelits. The sentiment on the tag is also from the Jar of Love set. Wouldn't you know that I just so happen to have some Crushed Curry embossing powder left!! So I heat embossed the sentiment and added a few little enamel dots and the slice of lemon... Wait it is about to get better!

I knew as soon as I finished the card what I wanted for a project! My picnic place setting seemed to fit the theme! Complete with plasticware and a napkin this Mini Treat bag made in Daffodil Delight DSP is SO adorable!  I folded down the front and added a piece of corrugated kraft under the edge. I took the time to fussy cut the lemons, adhered the dew drops with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and then the slice. Can you see the Clear Wink of Stella on the slice of lemon? It was also used on the "Enjoy" from the Mini Treat Bag die set! I wasn't quite sure how to make it all work but once I found the Pear Pizzazz DSP I used the Tags and Labels Framelits again and cut out the polka dot tag, adhered the lemons to the top, and adhered the sentiment towards the bottom. I dotted the "j" with an enamel dot. To finish this tag I wrapped the Linen Thread around the bag and tied a quick bow in the center of the lemon!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure you tour the WHOLE hop! I may be asking questions on Wednesday about this hop!!

Paper Players 292 Girlfriends and Vodka Shaker Card

Happy Hump day to you!!! The school year is winding down to an end! The kids are counting the days down and last night I really could have used a stiff drink!

The Paper Players have a really fabulous sketch this week so I decided to play along! You can get all the details by clicking below!

Click Here For Full Challenge Details

So this Martini Glass has been sitting on my desk fussy cut and ready to go! The image comes from Unity Stamp Co. It is called I Like It Dirty. I bought the set because my mom is a dirty martini drinker and loved the play on words! I colored the martini glass using colored pencils and a blender pencil. In the picture below you'll see that I added Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle!

The card part really came together quickly! I created my shaker using the Stitched Circles from Gina Marie Designs! Because some of us like our drinks shaken and not stirred! The fun sequin mix is from Fancy Pants! I rummaged through my paper stash and found these great pieces of DSP from Stampin' Up! For the sentiment I stamped Memento Tuxedo Black on Whisper white and made a quick little banner across the bottom! To finish this fab card I added a few more sequins to bring everything together!!!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!
Thank You for stopping in!

OSAT Tic Tac Toe Blog Hop

Guess what day it is?? It is the second Thursday of the month and we should all know what that means... OSAT Blog Hop time! Huge shout out to all of my Stampin' Up! Friends at OnStage! I am kind of jealous! Everyone's taxes done? If not, you better get on that! Did you get to me by way of Renee Ondrajka, welcome!!

This month we decided to play a friendly game of Tic Tac Toe! What better a game to play with all my stamping friends??

My three in a row is accomplished Lace, Glitter Pen and Ribbon! I killed two birds with one stone using lace ribbon!

Isn't this fabulous?? It started with base of Mint Macaron and quickly came together with a Watermelon Wonder matte. The lovely DSP is from our 6 x 6 stack Pretty Petals! I just love the color combos on this stack so I hope it gets to stick around! The Wood Tag... I know I find all the good stuff!! I stumbled on these on Zulily! There are so cool and cute! I stamped on this using our Basic Black Archival ink, brushed Clear Wink of Stella and simply tied a big bow in the Mint Macaron Lace Ribbon! I adhered this with some Foam Mounting tape because I wasn't sure the Dimensionals were strong enough for the wood! My cute flowers I stamped in Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder and Basic Black! The It's My Party enamel dots made great flower centers! To top this pretty little thing off I added some lovely Pretty Pink Posh Sequins in Sparkly Clear and Onyx!

Here is a closer look at the clear Wink of Stella on the black!!!

My husband would probably tell you that I am hoarder! But this awesome little 7 Gypsies tray has been hanging out in my craft stash for over a year! I have cupboard full of things to do for gifts or craft fairs. When I opened it looking for something to do as my project this month, this spoke to me!

I used coordinating paper from the Pretty Petals DSP stack! I simply trimmed them all to fit in each little nook and adhered the paper using Liquid Multipurpose Glue! I used our Butterfly Thinlits to cut out my butterfly and adhered it to velum using spray adhesive! Once I adhered it I fussy cut the velum, added Clear Wink of Stella and popped on a cute in-color flower to coordinate with my "love"sentiment that is also Watermelon Wonder!

Thank You so much for taking a look! Make sure you click next to tour the whole hop! I am sure my crazy cave dwelling crafty cohort Dena Rekow has created something oh so lovely!!
