TGIF 129 Sketch Challenge Feeling Elf like

TGIF!!! I know that we are all glad that it is Friday. TGIF Challenges is back this week with a fun sketch! Can you tell I am addicted to the markers yet? Stampin' Blends... AMAZING!

We all know that a sketch is totally up to how you visualize it... I knew exactly what was going to happen as soon as I messed with this cute little elf guy from the Festive Phrases stamp set in the Holiday Catalog with my Stampin' Blends markers and who doesn't like an elf!?

I did a nice layout of the Christmas Around The Worlds DSP, this is part of the Buy 3 get 1 free DSP sale. A nice border of Wood Textures DSP seemed to be the perfect contrast for this card. This was matted onto Smoky Slate with a nice Pool Party base. I die cut my colored image with a Stitched Oval and layered it onto a nice Gold Foil scalloped oval from the Layering Oval Framelits. Before adhering this I added a nice doubled linen thread bow and some wrinkled up Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon to coordinate with the sketch. A few... well, okay 5 Glitter Enamel dots and this cutie patootie was done!

Phew! I can't wait to see what you all ink up for this weeks challenge! Have a great weekend!

Paper Craft Crew 263 Sketch Challenge

Squeeee!!! Happy Wednesday! We are over the hump and well on our way to the weekend. I am back with the Paper Craft Crew this week with a fun sketch! We all know that a sketch is very much ones interpretation! I couldn't wait to bust out the brand new Stampin' Blends! These markers are amazing!!!

Okay, I really took a really whimsical approach to this sketch...

This card was really so much fun to make! I started with a base of Rich Razzleberry with a soft matte of Soft Sky. I stamped the images from Touches of Texture using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Once I had them stamped I used the Stampin' Blends to color them in shades of Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party, with accents of Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. Some nice Gold Metallic Thread loops were a nice touch of sparkle with the Glitter Enamel Dots. The sentiment is from Birthday Blooms and was the perfect touch to this stunning card!

Thank you so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see what you ink up for this weeks challenge!

TGIF 119 Color Challenge

TGIF!!! This week Friday is not quite as exciting as others... The kids and I will be spending our day getting Miss Maisey ready for the Yuma County Fair Horse Show. I am so excited to watch my kids follow in my footsteps in their love for horses. Can I get Yee-Haw? I am sure we will be taking many pictures!

This week with the TGIF Challenges we have fun and summery color challenge for you all to play along with. You can always get details by clicking the challenge graphic below.

I knew my plan and soon as I pulled the ink pads for our color challenge.  The Fabulous Flamingo set was perfect for this great vacation scenerey! My greenery was created using the Lemon Lime Twist ink and worked perfectly with my Pool Party water. My Crushed Curry Chair from the Seasonal Layters Thinlits  has some Clear Wink of Stella that kind of got a little crazy towards then end. I actually used the Wink of Stella on some of the greenery and water. It is really hard to photograph at times. Some Linen Thread with Crushed Curry Bakers Twine and of course a few Glitter Enamel Dots were just the right touch for the Pool Party Card Base and Lemon Lime Twist matted card!

Stamp Ink Paper Challenges 96 CAS Wedding

Tuesday! I swear the last few weeks of school just breeze right by! It will be summer before you and I both know it. Then comes the pool, thunderstorms (we had one last night) and grilling with friends!

Today I am designing with Stamp Ink Paper and we have a nice Clean And Simple Wedding Challenge that I know you will enjoy!

This Clean And Simple card was so nice to make. I received the Ribbon Of Courage set at OnStage San Diego. Patty Bennett did an amazing demonstration of the set and was kind enough to sign my copy! I heat embossed one of the sentiments from this set on a stitched circle. I popped this up over a Powder Pink stamped image from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set onto Very Vanilla Card stock. I added a Fresh Fig dragon fly to off set the bottom corner. The card still needed something but I really didn't have any embellishments that coordinated well. My Bronze Sharpie was perfect to color over the Glitter Enamel Dots as shown below!

Thank You soooo much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you make with this Clean And Simple Challenge!
