TGIF Challenges 135 Ombré Technique

TGIF!!!! Did you all get enough to eat yesterday?? Are you an over eater like I am? I am not sure there will be any eating of left overs today because I defitely ate WAY too much! Hopefully you aren't all out Black Friday Shopping because I have an amazing card for this weeks TGIF Challenges Ombre Challenge!

I was so excited to find out that our October and November Paper Pumpkin kits were going to coordinate. The stamp set with Novembers kit is so cute and very versatile! It was perfect to pair up with my Cookie Cutter Bundle which is still available in our Annual Catalog!

This fabulous card started with a sponged ombre background using Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Soft Sky Classic Stampin' Pads. Once my background was blended to my desired look I made a quick mask using the 2 1/4" Circle Punch to create an added mask to create my igloo with our Embossing Paste. My cute little Eskimo is colored with our Stampin' Blends. I used a combination of  Pool Party and Bermuda Bay for his little snow suit, Smokey Slate for his gloves and hat and the Ivory for his face. I added some Silver metallic edged ribbon and adhered him to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. The lovely sentiment was hear embossed in Stampin' Emboss silver. My Heat Tool wasn't quite done because I went ahead used Stampin' Emboss White for the snowflakes. Both of these stamps are from this months Paper Pumpkin! A lovely matte of Smokey Slate with a Soft Sky base seemed to be just the right touch so that my ombre would pop! Of course I added a few faceted gems for a little sparkle.

You can find my full shopping list below for everything used on this card!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin Friends Happy Holidays Blog Hop

Hey there!! I am back with the Stampin Friends this month hopping with the "Happy Holidays" blog hop! I am sooooo excited to be busting out the Christmas goodies! It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only a week away. I guess I didn't realize it after all the fun I had at Stampin' Up! OnStage in Salt Lake City!! Truly the best 4 days of my life.

With this months project I was inspired by a room mate gift I received from one of my fellow demonstrator friends! She made these cute little ornaments with a little bit of Burlap Ribbon, Gingham Ribbon and embellished the inside with a heat embossed sentiment with a lovely snowflake. It just so happened that I had these cute little clear plastic ornaments that I scored on clearance from Walmart last Christmas!!! Let me get you the details...

My card is a rich base of Old Olive card stock to coordinate with the Christmas Around the World DSP. It is nicely matted with Cherry Cobbler card stock. A nice layer of DSP was a festive touch. When making this card I used the Stitched Shapes to cut the DSP that Santa is propped on. It is adhered to a Layered Circle of Red Glimmer Paper. Now for my Santa... Yes he came from the Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle, I felt a bit like Jeffrey Dahmer when making him. Once he was colored with the Stampin' Blends markers I started piecing him around the sentiment that I also fussy cut from the same DSP pack. It really turned out cute!! I added some fun silver thread for a little bit of sparkle.

My fun 3D started by cutting a full sheet of 12 x 12 DSP from the Christmas Around the World pack into 1/2" strips and curling them. I stuffed them into the ornament using a pencil. I then wrapped a piece of the Burlap ribbon with the Cross Stitch Ribbon to make the lovely little bow. This bow is holding the cute little tag made using the Everyday Label Punch with the Cookie Cutter Bundle! The added sparkle from the Gold Mini Sequin Trim and the Faceted Gems were just the right touch!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I saved the best part for last!!

Stamp Ink Paper 78 Winter Holiday Challenge

Happy Tuesday! I am sure that we are all in the "Ugly Sweater" mode of the holiday spirit! I am about tapped out on Christmas as well as 2016! It has been a year with a lot personal gut punches. I am so excited to see what 2017 what is going to hold for me!

Today on the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge we have a Winter Holiday challenge! I know not all of us celebrate Christmas... So I am sure all of you will enjoy this challenge!

My Card started with a base of Crumb Cake cardstock. Then with a quick matte of Garden Green and layer of the Warmth & Cheer paper, I had the base of my ugly sweater! I used another piece of coordinating paper to make a fun border across the card with another matte of Garden Green. My Stitched Square is stamped using the Hardwood Background stamp and was layered onto a Layering Square in Garden Green. I embellished my square with some of the Warmth & Cheer Washi and some Gold Bakers Twine. It was the perfect foundation for my little Reindeer guy!

Now Go! Make your Holiday Cards!

Stampin Friends Happy Holidays Blog Hop

Happy Thursday friends! I am so excited to be hopping today with my crafting cohorts from the Stampin Friends group on Facebook! This month the our blog hop is all about the holidays! We just can't wait to get you all in the holiday spirit!

Barbara Welch

Did you get to me by way of Barbara? If so, welcome over I can't wait to show you what I have created for you this month!

My card for the hop this month was kind of a fluke! I was trying another way of making a shaker card and well I accidentally made this super cute square card! The card is a base of Cherry Cobbler card stock with a fun matte of the Warmth & Cheer DSP. The background to my shaker also came from the Warmth & Cheer DSP stack. My shaker goodies were snagged from the retired shaker kit from last year! A simple "Ho Ho Ho" in Garden Green from the Oh What Fun stamp set seemed to fit the card. A quick Gold Baker's Twine bow and this beauty was done!

My fun Baker's box was an item I had at my craft fair last weekend! It too is made of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock with a lovely tag of Warmth & Cheer DSP made from the Here's to Cheers Bundle. I did a nice gold heat embossed sentiment onto one of the stitched circles from the Stitched Shapes set! Of course it is layered onto a scalloped Layering Circle of Gold Foil! I fastened this on with a Gold Binder Clip that had a fun Baker's Twine and Linen Thread Bow. You will notice the Ghirardelli chocolates through my Fabulous Foil Acetate window. A quick strip of washi and the Gingerbread Man to finish this off and I was done!

Thank You so much for stopping by! Don't forget our AMAZING giveaway! You must comment with #SFNovHop to be eligible!

Now onto Robyn! I can't wait for you to see what kind of cuteness she has come up with for you this month! You can get to her by clicking next!
