Creation Station Texture Blog Hop

Happy 4th of July! Today is going to be a day full of laughter, friends both new and old and food! I spent most of yesterday making up things for a feast tonight. We are doing burgers, brats and Hot Dogs with the potato salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs and I whipped a 7-Layer dip. I am sure there is more food coming but I don't know what everyone else is bringing! Wesley and I went to the firework stand to get some fireworks to light at home. Lets hope that Mother Nature cooperates!

It has been a while since I hopped with the Creation Station team! If you have read my blog over the last few weeks, I have a good excuse. Although this months theme of "Texture", I couldn't wait to hop along! Today I have created this cheerful "Feel Better Soon" card with the What A Year Memories & More Card Pack and the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set. Lets take a look!

This little cutie started with the What A Year Memories & More Card Pack. My goal when I started to brain storm was to not use the Pattern Party or the In Good Taste paper packs. As those seem to be my go to lately. I rummaged the pack of cards and settled on the Polished Pink plaid like card and the lined card with the flowers. I cut the plaid down to a 3.75" x 5" card front. To add a bit of visual texture I used the Stitched with Whimsy dies. On the smaller card, I simply rounded the corners with our Detailed Trio Punch and added a hole for the ribbons. The plaid was then adhered with Stampin' Seal to a Pool Party Cardstock Mat. The tag was accented with the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon and Bumblebee Gingham. A bit of Basic White Bakers Twine was tied around it. My Label Me Lovely Punch of Polished Pink was embossed with one of the Greenery Embossing Folders. The cute little striped strip was also from one of the smaller cards in the Memories and More pack. I cut it into about a 1/2" strip. The heat embossed sentiment from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set in white was perfect for my Bumblebee die cut from the Tasteful Labels Dies!

I have adhered the Bumblebee circle to the strip with a bit of Stampin' Seal before adding the twine and adhering it to the Label Me Lovely Punch with Stampin' Dimensionals. The finishing touch for this adorable card was the Playing With Pattern Resin Dots mixed with a couple Basic Rhinestones!

I am so glad that you stopped by today! I can't wait for you to see what my amazingly talented best friend Jeanna has created for you! You can get to her by clicking the next button below! Have an amazing Sunday!

TGIF!!!!!!! Yayyyy it is Friday! Although I am up to my eyeballs prepping for a local event tomorrow! I even fell asleep attempting to blog my stuff last night in my JEANS AND SHOES!!!! Man, I just can't keep up anymore...

Click for Challenge Details

This week with TGIF Challenges we are creating with the "Anything But a Card" theme! It was a great opportunity for all of us on the team to share what we created for our 3D Swap at OnStage in Orlando... What a group of girls this team is. I am so happy that these fabulous ladies are my friends. I chose to use up some Powder Pink card stock and whip up some cute little lip balm holders!

This fun little favor has a nice base of Powder Pink Card Stock. I have created the tag like top with Detailed Trio Punch. I have layered the Broadway Bound DSP as fabulous contrast with Basic Black and Gold Foil accents in the DSP. I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black from the Stitched All Around stamp set and punched it out with the Starburst Punch. I added a fun Gold Foil Banner from the Bunch of Banners framelits and adhered it to the back of the Starburst before attaching Dimensionals to adhere to the 2 1/4" Circle of Gray Granite. The Shimmery Black Ribbon with Gold Cord was the perfect accent!

I can't wait to see your creations for this weeks challenge!! I have provided a full supply list so that you can make your own Lip Balm holder!

Have a great day!

TGIF Challenges 183 Washi Tape and Twine

TGIF! I am sure that we are all happy it is Friday!!! The countdown is on until I leave for Orlando for OnStage!!! I am so excited to see all of my Demonstrator friends and Momma needs a vacation!!!

This week with TGIF we are challenging you to create a card with Washi Tape and/or Twine!!! I wasn't quite sure how I was going to pull this off. So I went the twine route with the upcoming Snow Is Glistening stamp set and Snowfall Thinlits. These amazing products will be available to you on November 1st! Let me show you my card!

This card started with the Buffalo Check stamped in Merry Merlot. I wasn't quite sure how or where... I just knew that I wanted to use it.  I decided to use one of the Ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I then stamped my tree on Crumb Cake Cardstock with Mossy Meadow Ink. I used a quick little scrap of Wood Textures DSP for my trees trunk. The Gold Foil snow flakes from the Snowfall thinlits were just the right touch of elegance to this card! With a little bit of Linen Thread for my twine and a strip of lace this fabulous card was done!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you create with this fun challenge! I have provided a full list of the product used below to make the shopping easier... just remember the Snow Is Glistening and Snowfall Thinlits will not be available until November 1st!!!

OSAT I need A Hero Blog Hop

Phew!! I can't believe it is already the second Thursday of September, can you? The fact that it was 95 degrees yesterday sure doesn't help! I will admit to saying that I wanted snow more than 3 times in the last 48 hours. I know that it may bite me in the rear end saying out loud... you know, the SNOW word but I am good with it!

This months theme for the One Stamp At Time Blog Hop is "I Need A Hero".  A hero is defined as a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Teachers are unsung heroes! I couldn't wait to play with the Picked For You stamp set to create today's creations. Let me show you what I have made!

This month I sort of started out backwards. The Mini Pizza Box is a fun go to but did you know that you can use a circle framelit of any size and it instantly turns into a holder. That is what I have done today! I have used one of the larger Layering Circle Dies to create a holder for my Apple Cinnamon flavored candle. I have wrapped this in a 6 x 8 Cello Bag and created a nice little tag using the Festive Farmhouse DSP to coordinate with the DSP on the box.

The card is of a nice base of Thick Whisper White, matted with Cherry Cobbler and a Pinewood Plank embossed piece of Gray Granite. I have stamped the Buffalo Check using Gray Granite on Thick Whisper White. I have layered this onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler. The largest stitched circle seamed to be the only size that would work. I managed to arch the sentiment.

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait for you to see what the amazing Jay Soriano has made for you! You can get to him by clicking on the link list below! I can't wait for you to tour the whole hop! Have a fabulous Thursday!

OSAT Creature Comforts Blog Hop

Okay, Okay! So you probably got here this morning and was like "Where is the words?? She didn't type anything" but my excuse is just that and legitimate! While attempting to type my post last night in my recliner with my lap top on my lap, I was falling asleep... Taryn even walked by and poked me!
Sad, but true... I have been all go lately. Between my business, company at the house (my mom will be here on the 21st), and trying to establish a team environment with the kids to get more chores done I am One Tired Mother Tucker or maybe I am just Tuckered out!
The One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop is back with the theme "Creature Comforts", now when Jenny Hall and I created the hop schedule we were trying to leave things up to interpretation... So the idea was animal themed cards or cards featuring an animal... So I must confess it was not a well thought out theme... Let me show you what I have made for you today!

Crafters Confession log #101... I lost my Flamingo Card!!! I can't find it! I looked everywhere and did everything short of throwing everything away on my counters! So, I was unable to get a picture with my two items together...

So I have had the Fabulous Flamingo set since I display stamped in San Diego! I must confess it was not a favorite... but it may have worked its way into my heart with this card. I am a frequent shopper of a store called Cheeky's. It is a boutique with sassy tea shirts, cute jewelry and they do lives in their VIP group which always leave me laughing. Anyhow, they have a T-Shirt with the sentiment I created above with the Make A Difference set.

ENOUGH TALKING!!! Lets get to the details!
The card started with a card base of Flirty Flamingo, with a bright matte of Coastal Cabana. My Thick Whisper White stamped layer is matted onto Granny Apple Green. I made the Flamingo using Powder Pink and Flirty Flamingo ink and my amazing Stamparatus! My Coastal Cabana stamped Water is accented by some Granny Apple Green grass. The leaves at the top are also Granny Apple Green with a pop of Lemon Lime Twist. As stated above I created the sentiment using the Make A Difference stamp set using Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo ink. It is tied on the left with the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle. A few of the new Glitter Enamel Dots and this card was done!

For my project I needed to tied the two together even though I couldn't find the one! I chose to use the Tropical Escape DSP (which is on the Buy 3, Get 1 FREE Sale). I made this fun little Chapstick favor with Granny Apple Green and the DSP. I stamped a quick tag to coordinate with Fabulous Flamingo Card and punched it with the Starburst Punch. It is matted onto a 2 1/4" Circle of Coastal Cabana. My Cute Ribbon is just the Whisper White Classic Weave, I have used my Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blend to color it before tying my Whisper White Bakers Twine bow around it!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I can't wait for you to see what the rest of my friends have come up with for this fun theme! You can follow along the hop by clicking along the list below!
