Paper Craft Crew 305 Thanks A Latte Sketch

Happy Wednesday! I can't tell you how happy I am that school is OFFICIALLY back in session! I have really gotten into some bad habits over the past few weeks ! Now it is time for me to BUCKLE DOWN and get back into the swing of things!

I am back today with the Paper Craft Crew with a fun sketch for you all to play along with. This sketch is so versatile so it can be made into a MILLION things! I have mixed some Annual Catalog stuff with the upcoming Holiday Catalog Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper. Let's take a look!

This great card starts with a base of Gray Granite, matted with Cherry Cobbler for a nice contrast. I have chosen the nice Shiplap pattern to work with my large stitched circle of plaid! It too is on a vivid Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Circle from the Layering Circles Framelits. I dusted off the Coffee Café Bundle to use for this sketch. The Granite Gray wood grain stamped cup has a lid of Memento Tuxedo Black with some Clear Wink of Stella! I used my Basic Black Stampin' Blends to color my Corrugated Elements to coordinate with card. Who doesn't love a Latte? The Cherry Cobbler stamped sentiment is layered onto the Corrugated Element! A bit of washi and nice linen bow was perfect for finishing this card off!

Thank You so much for joining me today! I can't wait to see what you create for this weeks challenge!

Stamp Ink Paper 100 Card Makers Choice

Happy Tuesday! Today is Stamp Ink Paper's 100th Challenge!! Kids just got on the bus for their last FULL day of school. Where does the time go? There are times where I really wish I could just press pause and enjoy them being young/little. I will have a 6th grader which earns me at least 20 new gray hairs and to think that Joshua will be in his LAST year of elementary school is mind boggling! Where does the time go? I kind of want to cry...

For our 100th challenge we have no rules!! It is truly a love hate relationship when we have these challenges... I chose to use one of the new hostess sets available June 1st!

Now... If you know me, you would say "Oh!! There is the Andrea I remember!!!". This style of card is something I would always fall back on although it seems like lately that I have gone completely rouge and not honored the Shabby Chic style that got me into my love of card making.

My card started with a base of the new in color Powder Pink with a rich matte of Soft Suede card stock. My Very Vanilla stamped layer is stamped using the new hostess set "Background Bits" which will be available on June 1st. There some soft script in Powder Pink, a nice rich border of Soft Suede and some fun Pear Pizzazz bursts all from that set. My Powder Pink stamped butterfly is from the returning Butterfly Basics set and was so lovely to use with this great hostess set.

Thank You so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see what you come up with... The possibilities are endless!

TGIF Challenges 104 Polka Dot Challenge

Friday!!! Friday!!! Thank Goodness Its Friday!!! We are suppose to be getting some much needed rain today and I am sure that our farmers need it. 4 more weeks of school! Not that I am counting down or anything!

Today I am designing with TGIF Challenges with a fun Polka Dot challenge! What person does not love some polka dots!?

My fun card started with a base of Real Red card stock with a nice layer of the new wood DSP. I used the circle from the Wood Words set with Real Red ink. It has nice distressed look to it, as do all of the shapes in the set. I went ahead do a nice wood strip across my polka dots with a nice rustic strip of burlap ribbon and the new copper trim that tied on the little "Thank You" sentiment. The crumb cake stamped flowers on my nice stitched circle are layered onto a Real Red scalloped circle to coordinate with my Rooster and polka dots!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what polka dot perfection you come up with for this challenge!

Paper Craft Crew 216 Sketch Challenge

Good Morning! It was nice yesterday to spend the day in my craft room! I whipped my card for today and started on tags for goody bags for the younger two's Halloween parties on Friday! The crunch is on because my craft fair is in 2 weeks!!!

I am designing with the Paper Craft Crew today and we have a fun sketch for you to play along with!
I took the opportunity to NOT do a fall themed card! My head is in Christmas and I hope you all appreciate it!

My card honestly started with my looking at the Holiday catalog... I have the Holly Jolly Layers set and love how they layered it up in the catalog on page 3! Of course things always need to have my spin on them but that is where I got my inspiration for the card today!
The design of the card started with Holly Jolly Layers. I stamped the first image with Basic Black Archival ink. The next layer I used was a lovely layer of Cherry Cobbler. If you look close my Gold Stampin' Emboss Holly on the Very Vanilla Card stock is on a small little layer of Garden Green. These two layers were adhered with Liquid Multipurpose and then attacked to the Cherry Cobbler with a Stampin' Dimensional. Next I inked up my Merry Medley with Cherry Cobbler ink and stamped on the top left corner.  I used the Music Note piece of This Christmas Specialty DSP on the very edge with my Burlap Ribbon. A few loops of Gold and Green Metallic Thread and a couple dimensionals and I adhered this to the card front! It is matted onto Garden Green card stock with an A2 Base in Cherry Cobbler!

Thank You again for stopping in! I can't wait to see how interepret our sketch!
