APPT Blog Hop From the North Pole Kit

Happy Friday!! How many of you are all decorated for the holidays!? I am usually the girl with the totes of decorations in the house the morning after Thanksgiving (If you aren't in the US, you may not understand this), but with football last weekend it put a HUGE kink on things!

I was so happy to receive my From the North Pole Paper Pumpkin Kit! I really would have loved to have ordered extra... but that is not happened and I couldn't wait to get down and dirty with this kit and making a couple alternatives for the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!

I am no joke over my head with orders and craft fair creations at the moment and this box was such a joy to create with! I immediately knew that I wanted to make a gift card holder with with the treat bag add on... Well enough chatter! Lets look at my creativity at work!

There really is no way to misuse this kit, whether it is tags, cards or gift bags, it is so much fun to use! You can even mix it up and use October "Ho Ho Ho" kit! I chose to mix it with some of the fabulous DSP from our Holiday Catalog. It paired well with the Sweetest Christmas DSP as well as the Gingham Cottage!

So I destroyed one of the treat bags... Just kidding... I used it as paper by cutting it down to 3.75" x 5". It is layered onto a piece of Mint Macaron. I have added a piece of the polka dot paper from the Sweetest Christmas. I trimmed the tag top off of the Mint Macaron glimmer banner. The "Holly Jolly" tag was trimmed to 2" x 2" and matted with Real Red at 2-1/8" x 2-1/8" and was adhered with dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped with Mint Macaron ink and accented with a candy cane from the kit that I chose to tie a Linen Thread bow accented with the Jingle Bell Trinkets. This is all nicely layered onto a Real Red card base in true Christmas fashion!

This is a cute little gift card holder! Again it is accented with the Sweetest Christmas DSP and I added a bit of the Garden Green Gingham Cottage DSP for a fun country touch. I made a quick little pull tab with the Very Best Trio Punch!

The sentiments are stamped in Garden Green and your pocket for your gift card is where that Mint Macaron piece of card stock is. I also accented this with a Linen Thread bow with another Jingle Bell Trinket!

Thank you so much for stopping in! I can't wait for you to see what my friends today, you can click along the list below!!

OSAT Blog Hop Festive Season Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! Long time no blog for me right? I have to be honest, the craft room really hasn't been a joyful place in the last few months... but I have been working my way back and have some joy again! I think I just needed a break... the kids schedule continues to be somewhat grueling with Taryn managing middle school boys basketball and our football team still in the hunt for the state championship. Throw in some sewing for Taryn and church youth group...

This month the OSAT Team is hopping with the theme "Festive Season" and I don't know about you but I am soooooo ready for Christmas. Not sure why, maybe its the walks through Hobby Lobby the last two weekends or the Christmas Bazaar that I will be participating in... I am feeling quite festive myself! So for today's creations I have combined the Jingle Jingle Jingle with the Celebrate With Tags Bundle for this fun and jolly card!

This card was so fun to make, it started with the a piece of our Basic White cardstock cut to 3.75" x 5". Towards the bottom left corner I used one of our Blending Brushes with a bit of Pool Party ink to give a soft "snow" like background. I stamped two of the mittens from the Celebrate With Tags, one in Garden Green and the other in Real Red. I then die cut them with the coordinating die from the bundle. I then die cut the cute little stitched snowflakes also in the Celebrate with Tags dies out of the White Glimmer Paper (which unfortunately is unavailable). Once I had these arranged the way I liked them, I adhered them with a bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. To coordinate with the Sweetest Christmas DSP, I stamped the word Jolly from the Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink and then the outline with Pool Party ink. A bit of Red and Clear Rhinestones were just the right touch with the Red Glimmer Paper strip. This is all nicely layered onto a great multicolored stripe from the Sweetest Christmas DSP and a bit of the Sweet Sorbet Bakers Twine!

I stumbled on this box a week or so ago on Pinterest! It holds 5 nuggets and can be dressed up or down... You can even stack a few together and wrap a belly band around it! You can find the tutorial here . I decided to doll it up with a bit of our White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, a Sweet Sorbet Mitten, Red Glimmer Paper and fun sentiment from the Celebrate with Tags! As you can see below, I have also wrapped my chocolates with coordinating DSP.

I am so glad that you chose to stop by today to see my festive side! I can't wait for you to see what my friends have created too! You can click along the list below to tour the hop!

OSAT Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop

Hey there and Happy Thursday! I can't believe we are nearly halfway through the month of October. Life has been crazy as Joshua has been adjusting to his medication, Taryn has decided to manage middle school boys basketball and Wesley's work ethic at school leaves alot to be desired. No rest for the wicked, right?
The One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop Team has some fun fall and Halloween inspiration for you today with our Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop! I have paired the Kindest Gnomes with our Celebrate Everything Hostess DSP to create these cute fall themed creations!

I had so much fun coloring the girl gnome and mushroom house with my Stampin' Blends. The colors I used were Granny Apple Green, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Ivory, Petal Pink, Soft Suede and Poppy Parade. After I had the images colored to my liking, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them. This is all cutely layered onto the fall themed piece of DSP from the Celebrate Everything. With a mat of Crushed Curry and base of Crumb Cake you can't go wrong with this fall themed card!

This great little treat/gift card holder is adorbs! I am going to have to take it apart to make it again so that I have all of the dimensions to share with you. It neatly holds two Ghirardelli chocolates and has a pocket for a gift card. I tried to get a good picture for you, but I am sure you can get the idea!

I can't wait for you to see what my other crafty friends have come up with! You can click along the list below to see all of them fall themed cuteness!

APPT Spooky Treats Blog Hop

Happy Friday! We have made it through the week! Can you believe we are in October already? We have had a beautiful week of weather and today finally feels like fall! So I plan on making a batch of Beef and Noodles. The last week has been challenging as Joshua had an appointment with his new neurologist and we have decided to change up his meds a bit. This has made him EXTREMELY drowsy which is not ideal in the classroom environment. We also stumbled on a challenge with regards to finding his epilepsy rescue meds...  So we are off on an adventure this morning to get them and stop at Walmart!

This month the APPT team is hopping with the Paper Pumpkin Kit from September "Spooky Treats". These fun and spooky treat holders are sure to be a hit, but not everyone wants to make treat holders. So I have whipped up a card and a treat holder for you today, lets take a look!

The card started with the layer of Orchid Oasis! I used the host paper from the Holiday Mini and came up with a quick and easy lay out using a few of the die cuts and the orange plaid pattern for the box sleeves. Its accented with a few of the stars from the kit. The box was straight from the kit but I copied the template of the sleeve using the host paper once again! A bit of ribbon was the perfect accent. These boxes are great for two of the smaller peanut buttery chocolates that everyone loves!

There is another look at the box!

I am so glad that you stopped in today to see my creations! You can click around the hop through the links below!

Happy Friday!

New At SU Perfect Pair Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday! Hope that your week has been fabulous! We had about a 40 degree cool down here on the eastern plains of Colorado and that calls for soup, sweaters and a big cup of coffee. It is a pretty quiet week here, no football and Taryn had a volleyball tournament last night! It was nice to sneak to my craft room this morning and create!

Today I am hopping with the New at SU team! We are so excited to feature some of our "Perfect Partners" with some of our newer stamps and dies bundles! I was so excited to stake claim on the Cottage Rose Bundle for this hop and I can't wait to show you what I have created!

When I claimed the Cottage Rose bundle, I initially called it the Abigail Rose bundle... and this suite as a whole speaks to my soul but I wanted to show you that it can be bright, pretty and fun! So today I have paired it with the Black & White Designs DSP that is in our Holiday Catalog.
I started this card with the a Scalloped Rectangle from the Scalloped Contour Dies with the black stripe. I cut a piece of the chevron DSP to fit inside and used our Blending Brushes with Polished Pink, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green. I just loved the way that it turned it out. Next, I stamped the flower from the Cottage Rose Bundle in Memento ink and colored it with Polished Pink and Granny Apple Green Blends and die cut it with the coordinating dies. I chose to use Coastal Cabana card stock as my mat but you will notice it has a bit of sparkle. I used a whole bottle of Wink of Stella mixed with some Rubbing Alcohol to create a shimmer spray with one of our spritzing tools. Then I added a bit of the Black Bakers Twine from the basics pack and tied it with some coordinating ribbon scraps I had on hand! This card is accented with our Iridescent Rhinestones and sits beautifully on a base of Basic Black!

I am so thankful for you stopping by today! You can tour the whole hop by clicking through the list below! I can't wait for you to see how creative my friends are!

OSAT September Garden Party Blog Hop

Good Thursday Morning! Hope that everyone is not melting! The kids have officially returned to school and sports schedules are in full swing... Needless to say, with Taryn in junior high volleyball and Wesley in high school football... our fall sports schedule will not be the same for the next two years!

I found some time yesterday to sneak off to my craft room. First let me tell you, IT IS A DISASTER! So I have been chipping away at the mess but decided to get a bit inky at the same time.

This month our One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop Team is hopping with a fall color palette that will get you thinking about a September Garden Party. I decided to bust out a favorite stamp set of mine Celebrate Sunflowers and the Sunflower Dies that coordinate to pair up with the Rustic Harvest DSP from our current holiday catalog!

This card started with the large sunflower and leaves being stamped in Early Espresso (I know, I am a rebel!). I colored the leaves using the Soft Succulent.  Stampin' Blends and the large sunflowers with Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake Blends. Once I had them colored to my liking, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them. I took a small piece of the Rustic Harvest DSP and folded a corner down for a Crushed Curry accent. This is adhered to a piece of Basic White. I have accented the flower with a bit of Crumb Cake die cuts from the Sunflower Dies. I wasn't quite sure how to incorporate the sentiment but it was no brainer when I remembered that I had the Tailor Made Tags dies. I stamped the smaller sunflower with Crumb Cake ink and the sentiment in Soft Succulent to coordinate with the card. This was nicely matted onto Soft Succulent card stock on base of Cajun Craze! A bit of Linen Thread and some Brushed Metallic Dots and this card is sure to get you feeling fall!

I am so glad that you stopped in today! I can't wait for you to see what the rest of the gang has created for you! You can click through the list below to see everyones creations.

One Stamp At A Time BFF Blog Hop

Can you believe we are nearly halfway through August? School seems to start earlier and earlier for some. Our kids aren't starting until the 30th of this month. The kids and I all survived a week of fair. I can't believe that I will have a 7th, 9th and 11th Grader... This may be the year that I cry when they all go to school....
Today our OSAT Hop team is designing with the theme "BFF". We all know what that stands for and if you don't it is Best Friend Forever. I actually have one of those on this hop! I couldn't wait to play with some of Sale A Bration goodies and get them mixed with some of the NEW (listen I have hardly stamped) Memories & More cards. Let me show you what I have created today!

This card starts with a bright base of Daffodil Delight. It has a nice mat of Gray Granite to coordinate with the Today Is The Day Memories & More Card Pack. I have added a bit of the Silver & Gold DSP that is also a SALEABRATION item! I have stamped the "to another year" in Gray Granite from the Amazing Phrasing to create the back ground for my Daffodil Delight fussy cut "Woo Hoo!". I have accented this with some Clear Basic Rhinestones that I have colored with Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends and a bit of a Black Bakers Twine.

I am so glad that you stopped by today! I can't wait for you to see what the rest of my friends have made for the BFF's! You can click along the list below and hop along!

APPT Sending Good Thoughts Blog Hop

Wow, it has been a bit since I last blogged... Summer has gotten the best of me. I would love to say that it has been exciting and fun.... but it hasn't been.  The kids all weighed in and showed their pigs on Wednesday and now our barn at home is empty. The pigs have been my escape this summer and I am not sure all 3 kids will end up showing them again next year. Boys are really that into it and Taryn does a majority of the chores.

I snuck away for some crafty time last week while Taryn was finishing up her scrapbooking projects for fair. Have I mentioned that the TWO kids I helped went Grand and Reserve Champion? Its true but we will save that for another post! That is when I sat down and created this amazing alternate from July's Sending Good Thoughts Paper Pumpkin kit. It was perfect for this A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop and I can't wait to show you my creation!

The card started with the Bermuda Bay brushstroke card front. I simply splattered some watered down Multipurpose Liquid Glue and sprinkled some of our gold Stampin' Emboss powder to heat emboss it. I added a torn strip of Fresh Freesia with some white Bakers twine in a nice little bow. The coral is gently adhered behind the sentiment circle with a bit of sponged Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The sentiment is stamped onto a die cut from the kit with Bermuda Bay ink and adhered with a couple Stampin' Dimensionals. I accented with one of the starfish die cuts and a few Opal Rounds. They reminded me of bubbles! This card front sits nicely on a Fresh Freesia base!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Celebrating In Color

Happy last Thursday of the month! I am not sure whether this month went by fast or not. I do know that today is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! I am probably more excited than the kids.
This month the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Team is hopping with the Celebrating In Color Kit! This kit features all of our NEW in colors and will definitely get your creativity juices flowing! I can't wait to show you what myself and my friends have created for you!
I have used a card base from the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes in Parakeet Party. My layer of Basic White I have stamped with the stamps in the kit. The Parakeet Party is stamped with the words "You Make Me" and I stamped the "Happy" using Staz On. The splatters were also stamped with Stazon and accented with the Matte Black Dots and the dots provided in the kit. I have tied a cute bow with the our Black & Gingham Ribbon and accented it with a bit of the Parakeet Party twine that is in the In Color Twine Pack.
A quick and easy but so much fun card that is sure to bring anyone cheer!

I can't wait for you to see what the rest of our amazing team has created!! You can click along the list below to tour the whole hop!

TGIF 368 Fresh Cut Flowers Sketch Challenge

Who can believe it is Friday!? Lets not talk about what the actual date is... I mean if your into superstitions, that is on you! It has been a week of cooties, sports physicals, pigs, and end of the school year shenanigans. Funny because as I type this, the song "Mi Vida Loca" comes on... Welcome to my crazy life! This weekend will be filled with Baseball, Laundry and Yard Work!!! The wind has been obnoxious!! We have a fresh harvest of tumbleweeds now surrounding our house. I have made time to be creative though!

Today I chose to not be a slacker or maybe I chose to not let life get in the way... However you want to look at it! The TGIF Challenge for this week is a fun sketch where I chose to pair the Fresh Cut Flowers with the Tailor Made Tags Dies to create this interpretation of this sketch!

When I started this card, I knew I wanted to use this NEW stamp set. I chose to use my Stamparatus with Memento Tuxedo Black ink because the die cut tag from the Tailor Made Tags was initially a strip much like the one in the sketch. After wanting to add a bit of "something" (you crafters will get it) I chose to die cut the strip into the tag! My love for our Subtle color family returns with my Stampin' Blends in Petal Pink, Soft Seafoam, Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent to color my spotlighted piece. I have used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to create the splatters along with my Clear Wink of Stella. I have accented this with our Elegant Faceted Gems. The sentiment is from the returning stamp set Wildlife Wonder and is heat embossed in gold. This is nicely layered onto a piece of Soft Seafoam cardstock and accented with a piece of the Brushed Gold Cardstock. To keep with the soft feeling of this card I chose to Thick Basic White as our base!

I am so excited to be back in the swing of things! I can't wait to see what you create with this weeks challenge! You can get all the details by clicking the sketch image above!

Happy Friday!

OSAT Hello My Name Is... Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! Can you believe we are finishing our second weekend of May already? I think we only have 10 more school days left. I may have encouraged the count down to the kids. Not that the summer is going to be any less busy. Life has been a bit stressful again with everything being back to our norm. My mom was recently in the hospital for a bacterial pneumonia. It was super scary, I live in Colorado, she still lives in my child hood home in Southern California. I knew she was in good hands and I am just glad that she is home!
This month the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop Team is hopping with our new toys from the new catalog and we can't wait to show you all of the new and fun things this catalog has to offer you! Today my design will feature the NEW Hues of Happiness Suite and the Stylish Shapes Dies! Lets take a look at what I have created for you today!

The Hues of Happiness suite is an amazing suite that includes the Hues of Happiness DSP, Happiness Abounds stamp set and the Blossoming Happiness Dies. I just love that there are warm and cool versions of much of the designs! Today I chose to pair this DSP with Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and a touch of Fresh Freesia. Lets take a look!

My card has a beautiful base of Melon Mambo with a mat of Coastal Cabana I have used this lovely floral DSP to coordinate with the my paper purse. I cut a piece of Basic White to 3" x 4" before using the returning Stitched Greenery Die. Once I had that ready I used the fun border die in the Blossoming Happiness Dies. I added a 1/2" strip of Coastal Cabana to give it a bit of pop. The flowers and leaves are die cut from the DSP. I love when we do this and it makes creating so fun! A bit of twine and a nice bow was the perfect touch in the company of the Iridescent Rhinestones!

I stumbled on this tutorial on Pinterest... It wasn't the easiest and there are definitely things I would change. Again, I have used the Hues of Happiness DSP. I have accented the corners with Coastal Cabana circles that have been die cut using the new Stylish Shapes Dies. Coastal Cabana was the perfect color to use for this purse and I continued to use it on the handles and top of the bag. I made a fun little luggage like tag that to tie on the handle with Fresh Freesia Ribbon. You can see the tag a bit closer below. I have stamped with the Happiness Abounds stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and colored it with my Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. I knew that a Heat Embossed sentiment would be the perfect touch!

Here is a closer look at the tag! Isn't it adorable??

I am so glad that you stopped by to look at my creations today and I am so excited for you to see what my friends have created for you. You can tour the WHOLE hop by clicking along the list below for more inspiration!
