OSAT Dont Go Breakin My Heart Blog Hop

Happy February to all of you! Welcome to the Fedruary edition of the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop!!! We are back this month with a fun "Don't Go Breakin My Heart" theme. So there is a chance this hop won't just be Valentines. I know that I can't wait to see what my 22 Stampin' Up! Friends have come up with!

So when I started making this months creations, I didn't want to be predictable. When I sat down yesterday to make my creations, I can tell you that what I actually came up with wasn't what I was expecting. I mean we all know that the quickest way to a mans heart is his stomach! It is a good thing I am a good cook! Let's get to the good stuff!

I just received the Apron of Love Bundle on Monday! I couldn't wait to ink it up and play with it! Truthfully, I was going to use it with the Painted with Love DSP... It wasn't working for me. When I realized I still had some of the Birthday Memories DSP, the cute little girl with the cupcakes were such a cute "love" idea. I die cut the one on the card with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I layered this onto a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits. This is when the Apron of Love Bundle came out to play. I stamped the sentiment using Crumb Cake ink and made a nice little banner using the Triple Banner Punch. I added the scalloped trim using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch with Marina Mist Card stock. I set both items aside and created my layout using a card base of Marina Mist along with a matte of Blushing Bride. I matted the 2" strip of Sweet Soiree DSP onto a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock with a simple trim of Silver Bakers Twine. Finally I die cut the baking utensils using Silver Foil. My cute little spatula needed a small piece of Whisper White so it looked real. I even inked it a bit with the light Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blend marker so it looked as though it had frosting on it. A nice Real Red heart was a perfect accent. I added all the elements to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I have given you a closer look at the card below.

So my coordinating box is a bit simple, but sometimes simple is good right? I put the same piece of Sweet Soiree DSP as I used on the card on the top using Liquid Multipurpose Glue and then fussy cut the girl from the DSP. I wasn't sure what to do at this point so I decided to use my Lots of Love Bundle and stamp a Blushing Bride heart onto Whisper White card stock. I put the girl on the heart and tied the same twine around the box with the cute little oven mitt tag from the Apron Of Love.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
I can't wait for you to tour the whole hop! Next on the list is my very dear friend Jeanna Bohanon! She has created the cutest... Well... I will let you look for yourself! The list is below for you to navigate the hop! Have a great day!

TGIF 145 Sure Do Love Pink Challenge

Good Morning!!! I am so glad that today is Friday! Influenza has hit our school district hard and I have the boys home with symptoms and no fevers... Taryn on the other hand is at school!

I am back with TGIF Challenges this week with a sweet little color challenge for all of you to play along with!

I honestly started a TOTALLY different idea than what I came up with for this weeks challenge! I ended up using the Heart Happiness and the Sure Do Love You bundle and created my own DSP!

I began by stamping the Powder Pink using the distressed looking hear from the Sure Do Love You stamp set. I scattered this around my Whisper White background. I then inked up the striped heart of the same shape from the Heart Happiness stamp set and stamped sporadically over the Powder Pink as Blushing Bride is a bit darker. Last, I used the mini dot heart from the Heart Happiness stamp set with Sweet Sugar Plum ink. To soften this a bit I put a nice layer of Vellum over the background. This also has a Gold Stampin' Emboss Heart for the striped heart to fit inside of. I added the Powder Pink  striped heart with Stampin' Dimensionals along with the Sweet Sugarplum banner die cut using the coordinating dies. A cute little Gold Mini Sequin Trim and a Gold Faceted Gem was just the right amount of embellishments. This is nicely layered onto a Powder Pink matte with a Sweet Sugarplum card stock base!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge!

OSAT All You Need is Love Blog Hop

Image may contain: text and outdoor

Yayyyy we are back! It is the second Thursday of the month! This is where myself and a whole bunch of One Stamp At A Time's member participate in a OOBER fabulous hop! I can't wait to show you this month's hop. It is oozing with creativity and a whole lot of love!

This month our theme is "All You Need is Love" and I can't wait to share the love with all of you while you tour this hop!

We all know that I really don't like hearts... It has nothing really to do with Valentines, I just don't like heart shaped anything. So when doing this theme it is honestly a struggle... but, I think I nailed it and I hope you enjoy!

My card started with Irresistibly Floral Specialty DSP. This fun emboss resist paper can cater to whatever you like. I decided to sponge it using Sweet Sugarplum and Soft Sky inks. I just received the NEW Sale-A-Bration Glimmer Paper pack. This pack is amazing!!!! You get 4-6x6 sheets of 3 colors, Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron and the adorable color I used Sweet Sugarplum. I used the heart die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to cut the heart out of the sponged paper, that way the glimmer paper would show through the heart! Cool right? Once this was all glued on with a fabulous ruched ribbon bow, I die cut the "love" sentiment out 3 times and adhered them all together before heat embossing them in Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. I added a few little sequins to give a final touch before attaching it to the Soft Sky Cardstock base.

My fabulous little treat bag is a Glassine Bag. I simply folded it in half and adhered it to the back so that I had a smaller bag to work with. I made a cute little tag with my left over goodies that I used to make the card. I filled it with a "Fun Dip" Valentines for my special someone!

Thank you so, so much for stopping in today! I hope you are enjoying the hop! Next on the hop is Renee! I am sure she is going to dazzle you with her fabulous love themed designs! You can get to her by clicking the button below!

The card started with my Emboss Resist hearts from the Watercolor Words! To do this I sponged Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach and did my Heat Embossing with clear on Whisper White! I matted this layer with a nice a little piece Flirty Flamingo Card Stock! I layered this onto a piece of the Peekaboo Peach papers in the Playful Palette stack of DSP! My Clear Embossed Peekaboo Peach Heart was just the right accent with my "love" banner!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see how you interpret this sketch!

Stamp Ink Paper #83 A Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday to all of you! So excited this morning! I found out yesterday afternoon that I had been chosen to be a Display Stamper for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Local Event in San Diego this April! It is an amazing honor to have been picked. I can't stop grinning! With this news I found my groove again!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have a fun sketch! I just love the way this Love Themed card turned out!
Image may contain: text

My carded started with the Rich Razzleberry stamped Definitely Dahlia on Very Vanilla Stitched Circle. I chose Rich Razzleberry because it really is a color that I tend to neglect and it was time for me to show it the attention that it deserves! I honestly had to look at Pinterest to see what colors I could pair up with it! Pool Party seemed to be a popular one, so I spritzed it with a little water and ran it through my Big Shot with the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder! I rounded the corners of this and the Copper Foil with my Envelope Punch Board! I adhered the circle with Stampin' Dimensionals with a bit of the Metallic Copper Thread. My "Love" sentiment is from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. I cut this out 3 times and then heat embossed it with the Copper Embossing Powder twice. A few sequins left over from the November Paper Pumpkin were just the right touch!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with for this weeks challenge!

I really love the way this card has turned out! So I have decided to also submit it to the TGIF Challenge for this week!

Paper Craft Crew 209 Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Happy Hump day!! Can't believe we are half through the week already!!
Funny story... Justin Krieger and I do a lot of card designing on FaceTime... So today while on FaceTime I had this not so brilliant idea to use glitter with heat and stick... Well it wasn't a good idea after all and well, the glitter spilled all over my legs that were in shorts... Yay for me!!!

This week with The Paper Craft Crew we have a really fun Tic Tac Toe and I went straight down the center from top to bottom with Dots, Any Blue and Staples!

I wasn't quite sure how I was going to pull this weeks challenge off... I mean, the ocean shaker a few weeks ago would have been a great card for this challenge... I gathered the papers that I thought were blue and narrowed it down one by one! We all know that the Serene Scenery stack is amazing and can make a simple card really fabulous! I matted the wood pattern from the stack onto Soft Suede card stock then adhered it to the Pool Party Base. It coordinated with the grooves of the wood. My lovely copper flower was made by die cutting the shape out twice, adhering the die cuts with spray adhesive and then inking up the top layer with Versamark to heat emboss it with the Copper embossing powder! I kind of did the same thing with the "Love" sentiment from Sunshine Wishes... Although I let some of the Copper Foil peak out the edges. The ribbon was stapled into pleats, tied a cute linen thread bow and added some great dew drops and this card was done! No cats game for this girl!!!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see how you make your 3 in a row!

Stamp Ink Paper 58 Lisa's Sketch

Hey there and Happy Tuesday! I am off to help at school registration this morning! Usually this takes me out of summer mode! Still have a few adventures that we would like to have before that first school bell rings!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper team member Lisa Altman has designed a fun little sketch for us to play with!

My card started with a base of Mint Macaron with a lovely matte of Crumb Cake! I used coordinating DSP from  Affectionately Yours and tied a quick strand of Mint Macaron Striped Ribbon across. I used the Tags & Labels Framelits to create my "tag" with the sentiment from Suite Sayings! The Bow Tie Paper clip seemed to be the right touch. I had some left over wood hearts from the Spring Occasions! I think I put them to a really cute use!

Fun and Simple! Not always something you see from me! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Have a fabulous Tuesday!

Paper Craft Crew 202 Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Happy Day! Welcome to my post for this weeks Paper Craft Crew Challenge!
I am happy to say that my barn is on its way as we speak! Kids have started their second session of swim lessons and I feel like our summer is going to be gone before we know it!

This week we have a great little Tic Tac Toe for you to play with! I gladly made three in a row going down on the left side. Buttons, Linen Thread and a Die Cut or Punch!

I really love the way that this card turned out! I knew I wanted to do a shaker with the heart from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and I must say it really came together nicely! I tried to not use the A little Foxy DSP again but I could resist the temptation! The Calypso Coral card base was nicely matted with Smoky Slate! I cut the Heart on the left side and created my shaker area using the Smoky Slate wood Grain behind the Calypso Coral of the same pattern. The new Foam Strips are something I will no longer be able to live without! I took a piece of Whisper White and inked it up with Versamark so that I could use the Heat & Stick! Once I got it all sticky I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds on it to create my own glimmer paper of sorts. The cute little flower to the right is made using the Sunshine Wishes thinlits as well! I cut it twice out of Pool Party and gave it a lovely little center with a clear faceted button with a Linen Thread bow! I wasn't sure what to do for a sentiment but once I saw the Love sentiment in the same die set I quickly cut it out of Smoky Slate card stock and heat embossed it twice with clear embossing powder! I couldn't leave it with no sequins! My great little assortment of Pretty Pink Posh and Fancy Pants sequins were the perfect touch!

I can't wait to see what you come up with when you come play with the Paper Craft Crew!
