Creation Station Specialty Paper Blog Hop

Happy Sunday! Hope you all are in good health and spirits! Our house has been humming with church and school obligations. I though things would get easier as they get older. Now I am just an underpaid taxi for my kids. Football is still in full swing for Wesley, we actually won our play off game yesterday!! WOOHOO Go Eagles. Wesley will get his first high school letter this season and I really couldn't be more proud. Today at church, Taryn will be helping our youth group lead service and worship... and Josh... Josh was diagnosed with asthma on Friday.
PHEW!!! It doesn't get any easier...

Today I am back with my Creation Station team! I couldn't wait to participate this month. One, because I had things already made to go with our theme of SPECIALTY PAPER and two because I have been a slacker and it was time to pull up my big girl pants and HOP! Today my projects are featuring the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP. If you know me, I love a good NON-Traditional Holiday card and this Specialty DSP is amazing! Let me you show you what I have created!

This time of year I am asked to do orders of Christmas Cards. I created this card for one of my orders and I just love the way that it turned out. With a base of Mossy Meadow and a mat of Polished Pink there is nothing traditional about these colors. The dies from the Whimsical Trees Bundle are cut from Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron. They are the perfect accent with the holographic stripe that is die cut with the Tailor Made Tags Die from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP. My Polish Pink stamped deer from Peaceful Deer Bundle was the perfect added touch.

These great little blocks are 2" Wood Blocks that I snagged at Hobby Lobby! They are painted with a matte metallic silver paint then adorned with pieces of the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP. I have used the Playful Alphabet Dies to create fun holiday saying on 4 sides of the cubes. Each side features a different pattern and theme! These are perfect for a mantle or shelf for the wintery season! I simply cut 1 7/8" squares of the paper and adhered them with a bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue and embellished as I desired!

Home Decor SU Style January 2021 Blog Hop

I am so excited to bring you another post today! I try to not post twice in a day, but when Sara Levin had asked if I was hopping, I didn't skip a beat when I said yet AND I knew EXACTLY what I was going to create!

This month with the Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop we are using goodies from the NEW Sale-A-Bration and Spring Mini Catalog! I have been sitting on this Mason Jar piece for some time now. It was actually a Christmas decoration that I found at Dollar General a few months ago and I knew that some point it would serve a purpose. I would be lying if I told you that this creation took more than 45 minutes! Let me show you what I have created...

If you have messed with Mod Podge and Designer Series Paper you are missing out! I used a bit a Mod Podge to adhere the Berry Blessing paper from the SAB catalog to my mason jar like base. While I let this dry, I created my largest stitched oval by stamping the sentiment from the SAB Berry Blessing Bundle in Pacific Point ink. Then I added some accents of Granny Apple Green from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. My Poppy Parade stamped strawberry was a cute added touch with Granny Apple Green stem and little twine bow! A perfect decoration for my farmhouse kitchen!

I am so glad that you stopped by today for this great little hop! I hope that I have inspired you to create some home décor pieces of your own!

Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop April 2020

Happy Tuesday!!! It is lunch time for us and I am thinking about whipping something up in the Instantpot! We are so lucky to have Grab N Go lunches available from the school here it has been a savior when it comes to snacking and lunches! The kids and I are getting our vegetables ready for planting in our garden. This is the year we are finally taking the leap to make a BIG garden! The good news is I do know how to can and we love to cook!

This is my second post today... CRAZY I know, but I have had this project in my head for like a MONTH now and I love that Stampin' Up! products can be used for more than cards or scrapbooking! I have made a few Home Décor type pieces using our products and I was so excited to be hopping with my creation today!

I have used a number of dies when creating this! The Magnolia Memory Dies were used to create my flowers. Once I glued the desired layers of petals I spritzed them with water and scrunched them up. The centers of the flowers were created using the punch from Sale A Bration. I layered two and snipped the petals in half. The flowers are accented with a heat embossed gold feather and greenery from the In The Woods dies and First Frost in Soft Seafoam and Pear Pizzazz. I even used the Champagne Shimmer mist on the antlers so that they looked gold!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait for you to see what my other crafty friends have made, click on the list below to take a short tour around the hop!

The Let It Ride Stamp set is definitely a favorite of mine and chose to use it with some fussy cut feathers adorned with the Bird Ballad Trinkets! Home Decor SU Style February Blog Hop

Happy Tuesday! This is my second post of the day, and that really isn't something that you guys usually see from me! A lot has happened over the last week! As many of you know, we have been taking Joshua to Children's to try find out a cause or reason for the bouts of confusion he has been having. Last Tuesday he underwent an EEG. Little did I know that also meant for him to be sleep deprived... as well as myself! We were contacted Valentines evening by the neurologist that he in fact had an abnormal EEG and has been having Absence Seizures. I can't be happier to have answers and to know that there is a treatment plan. Enough of about that!

Today I am hopping along with the Home Décor SU Style Blog Hop! If you have been following me for a while you know that I am a total rustic, boots, horses etc. kind of girl! I know, I know I have used 4 stamp sets to make this amazing framed piece! Lets take a look!

There is so many details that I am not sure you all want to stick around long enough to type them all out! This framed piece was so fun to make! I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do! I have also provided a full list of the products below!

To continue along the hop you can click through the list below!
Happy Tuesday!

Home Decor SU Style Love Blog Hop

Happy Tuesday afternoon!! Hope you all are nice and warm in your house today, I know some parts of the US are under Elsa's horrible spell! We are on the southwest side of all of it so it is a bit chilly but not nearly as those of you near the Great Lakes!

I am hopping along today with the Home Décor SU Style Blog Hop. We are hopping along with the Love or Valentine theme! I stumbled upon this cute little or maybe not so little wood heart at Dollar General!! Sometimes you have you take a few minutes to look and think outside the box to find things there.. This lovely little piece can stay up all year long!

So I started by painting my heart with white craft paint! The lovely daisies are stamped using Lovely Lipstick ink with Pineapple Punch centers. Each Daisy is actually two. I have accented the centers with the round enamel Pineapple Punch dots in the Best Route Enamel Shapes. I have accented the flowers with Pear Pizzazz leaves using the Leaf Punch. I have stamped the Statement of the Heart sentiment with Pear pizzazz ink and die cut it with a stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits! It is nicely layered onto a scallop oval from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock! A nice Lovely Lipstick loop of ribbon!

Thank You so much for stopping in today! I can't wait for you to see what my friends have you created for you! You can tour the whole hop by clicking through the list below!

Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop Sept 2018

It isn't very often that I make two posts in the same day. However, I felt like today was an exception. I am loving this Home Décor SU Style Blog Hop! It is a great mix of talent showing even MORE ways to use our amazing Stampin' Up! Product!

This month I have gotten a bit festive again! This home décor project was rather easy. The great thing about these little 6 x 6 Wood frames that I found at Dollar General were a fun way to play with and showcase this DSP and Dies!

All you need for this project is your favorite Christmas DSP, 4" Paper Mache letters (I found mine at Hobby Lobby), 6" x 6" Wood Frame or Block, Modge Podge, Paper Snips and patience!!! I started by wrapping the letters in DSP. I chose to use Modge Podge because it dries to a hard clear finish. This is how I also adhered the Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler card stock to the wood. To embellish this piece I did not want to go OVER THE TOP. I chose a few elements from the Detailed Deer Thinlit Dies and brushed the Champagne Mist shimmer paint on them. My Reindeer looked a bit plain until I added the nice loopy Linen Thread bow!

Now onto the next! I can't wait for you to see what the amazing Rae Jean Holbrook has come up with for you! It will have you wanting a nice Pumpkin Spice Latte! You can get to her by clicking on the list below! Happy Tuesday!!!
