A Paper Pumpkin Thing I’ll Be Yours Blog Hop

Happy Thursday!!! I can't believe that we are only a few days away from February, can you? January seems like the longest month ever, and then BOOM it is February!! Taryn (my youngest and only daughter of the 3), turns 10 on the 4th and it always seems to sneak up on me right after Christmas! I can't believe in a week, all of my kids will be in the double digits!
A Paper Pumpkin Thing is back!! Can you believe we have been around for almost 3 years!? It was an idea that started with the "It's A Sara Thing" kit. Hence the name of ours! A group of us liked the idea of a Paper Pumpkin blog hop, since there was not one out there at the time... and here we are killing it, 3 years later!

January kits are always hard for me to REALLY repurpose or make into alternatives for the kit. With kids in Elementary school, I am always looking for ways to make cute, easy Valentines. So for my designs today, I have paired the stamp set, bee die cuts, Heartfelt Bundle and Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper with some of my favorite stitched dies! Let me show you what I have come up with!

I just love the way that both of these cards came out today! I have paired the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper with So Saffron and Gold Foil. I love that the stamp set in the I'll Bee Yours kit coordinates with the Heartfelt Bundle in our Mini Catalog and I took full advantage of that!

The tiny sentiments were perfect to put onto the smallest Stitched So Sweetly Dies and it paired so nicely with our Rectangle Stitched Dies. Did you know that there is a stitched stamp in the Heartfelt stamp set? I actually heat embossed it in Gold to coordinate with my card.

I started this card with a piece of Whisper White and stamped the Bee's from the kit in So Saffron ink and die cut it with the largest Rectangle Stitched Die. I added a bit of a banner to go under my heart. Like I said above, the smallest Stitched So Sweetly die was perfect for the tiny sentiments in the kit! My heat embossed gold stitched heart from the Heartfelt bundle is layered over a Gold Foil heart also from the Heartfelt Bundle. A bit of twine and a Bee die cut from the kit and this card was done!

I wanted my second card to coordinate with the first... I took the stitched stamp from the Heartfelt stamp (again) and stamped a background with So Saffron Ink onto the So Saffron card stock. This card also has the Golden Honey DSP. I punched a heart out of both the stripe and So Saffron so that the heart stamp from the kit peeks out from behind in So Saffron ink. The heart is accented with tiny flowers in the kit in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. A few metallic pearls, bee's from the kit and a bit of twine from Sale A Bration and the kit and this card was done!

I can't wait for you to see what my friends have made with the kit this month! There is a full blog roll below for you to Bee even more inspired!

Happy Hopping!

Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop January 2020

Happy Tuesday! It is nice to see that we all survived Monday, right?! This is going to be one of those short but sweet type posts...

Today I am hopping with the Home Décor SU Style Blog hop!

This hop is open to ANYONE who is creating home décor with Stampin' Up! Products! Today I am a featuring a cute little pick up truck that I scored at Dollar General in the Valentine isle!

I have used Modge Podge to adhere the From My Heart DSP. I have accented the truck with some Real Red and Flirty Flamingo hearts. This will probably be the extent of my home décor for Valentines... I have given a bit a different angle for you to see the project below! I even busted out my Heartfelt bundle for some cute little accents!

The great part about this fabulous signature is that it'll always be at the bottom of your posts.

You're welcome.

3RD Thursday Sweet Treats Blog Hop

Happy Thursday afternoon, I hope you are all staying warm today. It is a bit of a blustery day here with no snow in site on the forecast. I need SNOW... I know I shouldn't say that out loud on the interweb and I am probably jinxing myself... but I NEED it!
I am back in full swing with the 3RD Thursday Blog Hop team. We decided to hop with the theme "Sweet Treats". I am so excited about this hop because I have created a fun little treat holder that holds some amazing chocolates! Let me show you what I have created with the Heartfelt Bundle and the Tags Tags Tags that carried over from our Holiday catalog.

These great projects are created with the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper. These are perfect for any Valentine in your life and I can't wait to share them this weekend with customers at class. I wanted to show you how well that the Tags Tags Tags set worked with this amazing suite! Every time a new catalog comes out I feel this panic of having to have it ALL. You do not have to HAVE IT ALL. Okay, so I also used the Heartfelt Bundle... because I could.

My card has a base of Flirty Flamingo with a mat of Real Red. I adhered a strip of the striped DSP 1" x 5" towards the bottom of a Whisper White layer. Then, I stamped the ends of the arrow in Flirty Flamingo and Real Red ink towards the top right. When I was creating the projects for today I stamped the tags in Flirty Flamingo. This stamp is so cool because it stamps all three tags at once and the dies cut them all at the same time too! I accented the tag with a Real Red heart die cut that is also in the Trio of Tags dies. Some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle with Bakers Twine Bow and a rhinestone from the From My Heart Faceted Gems was the perfect touch. This is nicely layered over a Real Red stamped scallop heart from the Heartfelt Bundle and accented with a couple more From My Heart Faceted Gems.

Okay, now the treat holder... I actually made this before making the card. Kind of backwards in my creative process, but it all comes out in the wash, Right?! We are going to call this the Matchbook Treat Holder, So here is how this cutie is made...
  1. Cut Real Red Cardstock 3" x 7" and score on long side at 1/2", 3 1/2", 4"
  2.  Make sure you run your bone folder over those score lines real good
  3. Using Tear & Tape, Add a strip on the 1/2" flap and the opposite side. This would hold your cute little chocolates or treats in place.
  4. Use your Bone Folder again to make sure your treats are nice and secured.
  5.  Cut 2 DSP Pieces at 2 3/4" x 2 3/4", these will be on the outside.
  6.  Cut 3/8" x 2 3/4" strip to go on the flap holding the treats.
  7.  Cut 1 1/4" x 7" strip (this will be your belly band closure for the treat holder)  score on long side at 1/2", 3 1/2", 4"
  8. Adhere 3/4" x 7" coordinating DSP.
  9.  Wrap around and adhere with Tear & Tape.
Great little treat holder right? I have provided a photo of the inside below. I have accented this with a DSP punched heart and another Flirty Flamingo stamped tag from the Tags Tags Tags. A little bit of Polka Dot Tulle and this cutie was DONE!

I am so excited about this treat holder! I hope you enjoy it too! I can't wait for you to see what the rest of the gang has come up with. Next on the hop is Kimberly, and I can't for you to see what she has come up with! You can get to her by clicking the next button below or clicking the blog roll!

Paper Craft Crew 365 Love You Lots

Happy Wednesday! I am so excited to back creating. I think it may be to safe to say that I have my groove back! The kids went back to school yesterday, that left me with a quiet house and uninterrupted crafting time with good music.

I am so glad to be back with the Paper Craft Crew today! We have a great sketch to get your wheels turning with all of the new goodies you got for Christmas... Or maybe some old favorites. I chose to design with the From My Heart Suite! Let me show you what I have come up with...

This great Valentine card was created with the From My Heart Suite! This suite is amazing when ordered in the bundle you get -
* Heartfelt Photopolymer Stamp Set (10% off)
* Heart Punch Pack (10% off)
* From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper
* Real Red 3/8" (1 cm) Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon
* From My Heart Faceted Gems
* Heart Doilies
* Heart Foil Tins
It really is a great deal! I started this card with my embellished heart! I used both punches in the suite and of course the doily. The heart is stamped in Flirty Flamingo with the sentiment in Real Red. I have used the From My Heart Specialty DSP for one of the strips, this coordinates with my Flirty Flamingo stamped strip. I added a bit of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle and the Real Red Double Stitched from the suite. This is layered onto a nice piece of Whisper White card stock with a mat of Real Red and card base of Flirty Flamingo. What is a card without some bling!? A few of the From My Heart Faceted Gems was just the right touch!
