OSAT New Beginnings Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! I am so excited that I have been able to spend time in the craft room! If I haven't been stamping, I have been freezing corn and tending to our garden. We may even have to have blanch and freeze zucchini. It is a good problem to have with cost of groceries and 3 growing kids.
The One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop Team is back this month with the theme, New Beginnings. When I think of New Beginnings I think of Back To School. It is very uneasy time for ALL of us as parents. As many of us will be sending our kids to school for the first time in almost 6 months.  I decided to mix the carry over bundle Harvest Hello's with a bit of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and the Plaid Tidings for today's fun farmhouse teacher card. Let's take a look!

My card started with the Harvest Hello's stamp set. I stamped the Apple on a piece of Regal Real Red DSP using Stazon Jet Black Ink and punched it with the coordinating Apple Builder Punch. I even added a couple of leaves, one colored in Granny Apple Green and one just punched out of Granny Apple Green cardstock. The wood stem was a great touch. This sits over a strip of the dark wood from the In Good Taste DSP and Whisper White that my sentiment created with the Playful Alphabet Dies. These dies are so easy to work with and paired nicely with the Black and White Plaid card front from the Plaid Tidings DSP pack. The "Teacher" sentiment is from the Harvest Hello's, I started to use the whole thing but when I realized that it could be cut and fit over the alphabet die cuts it was perfect! A bit of Real Red trim and mat for this Crumb Cake based card. I even did the inside of the card which you will see below.

I can't take credit for this design of this box, but I can take credit for foofing it up! What Teacher doesn't love a tube a lip balm!

I am so excited that you came by today to see my New Beginnings projects, you will want to be sure that you click through the list of hop participants below for more inspiration!
Have a great rest of your week!

Paper Craft Crew 348 Harvest Hellos

HELLO!!!!! I am sure that many of you think that I have fallen off the face of the earth! Life has been consuming lately and while I have tried to work on stuff in my stamp room it seems like the business side of it all has been taking the front page.  Good news is that I will be having classes in Yuma starting in September!!! Not Arizona, Yuma is about 30 minutes to my west and I have been trying to find a venue for the last 3 years!!! Well, it happened!

This weeks sketch from the Paper Craft Crew is a bit like last weeks! So when you look at my card today and say "Hmmm, that looks like last weeks challenge", I designed it for last week but it works for today too!!!

I couldn't wait to ink up and use the Harvest Hello's Bundle! With 3 kids I have plenty of teachers I can use this bundle for! Today's card is my first design with it and I think it is adorable! Lets take a look!

I am sure that many of you have a stash of things that you have stamped with great plans of ideas, my Granny Apple Buffalo Check is one of those ideas that never came full circle. My Poppy Parade Apple is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss powder. Once that was ready I used the coordinating punch to build my apple. A nice burlap banner from the Pressed Petals DSP coordinates nicely with my Linen Thread bow. I stamped a border of the seeds towards the bottom in Early Espresso ink. The Welcome Back sentiment is heat embossed in Stampin' Emboss White on Early Espresso then punched with Classic Label punch. To finish this card off I made a mat with Poppy Parade and set it on a card base of Granny Apple Green!

Phew! I can't wait for you all to get your Holiday Catalogs!! It is by far one of my faves!!!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you make for this weeks challenge! Have a great day!

OSAT Kids Only Blog Hop

Good Morning!!! It is One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop time and we are hopping with a Kids Only theme. Of course this could also mean Back To School, so I am sure you will see some wonderful creations geared towards this time of year! Are you ready for school to start?? I sure am!

Did you get to me by way of the amazing Dena Rekow? Her creativity does not ever disappoint me! I can't wait to show you what I have made for you this month.

I honestly wasn't sure what DSP or what card I wanted to make, but I knew that I wanted to make a "Back Pack" as my 3D item. Taryn (my youngest daughter) has a dress that would coordinate with this whole ensemble, so I began creating with her in mind.

My Night of Navy based card with Daffodil Delight matte was perfect for simple yet delicate card. What better than a sentiment from Watercolor Words telling my kid that "You're The Best". I think they all need to hear it. I heat embossed this with the Stampin' Emboss White Powder and did a lovely Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon. I layered three water colored daisies from the Daisy Delight Bundle and gave it a nice little Metal Rimmed Pearl as a center. I adhere this with a couple little banners of the ribbon with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Adorable right? I made this cute little back with Night of Navy Card Stock but you will also notice I stamped it using Night of Navy ink with the Burlap Background Stamp to add some texture. This also has the Delightful Daisy DSP and Metal Rimmed Pearls. The great thing about this Back Pack is that it opens up to a fun little mini album. I didn't quite have time to adorn and embellish the pages yet but added some DSP so you get the idea. To fasten it shut I used some Velcro. The front small pocket is functional as well.

I am so glad you came by today! I will be posting the instructions on the backpack shortly so stay tuned!

Next on this hop is the amazing Kelly Acheson! You can get to her by clicking the next button below!

Stamp Ink Paper 12 Black, White and....

It's Tuesday!!!! We all made it through another Monday! Guess what goes live today!? Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog!!! Kids are back in school but still have yet a day to myself because Mr. Tucker had Thursday through Monday off for our weekend full of fun with my Dad!

This weeks challenge is pretty simple! Who doesn't love black, white with a simple pop of color? I hope you love what I came up with...

This great started with a lovely base of Pink Pirouette card stock. I then did a layer of Basic Black card stock with a piece of striped DSP from the Timeless Elegance DSP. The stamps I used were from a cute little Unity set. I stamped these on Very Vanilla using the new Archival Basic Black ink from Stampin' Up! They really outdid themselves on this one! It is a really great black to use! I like it more than my Memento... I used the Banner Triple Punch to make the banner on the bottom right and accented it with flowers from the retired Artisan embellishment kit (I hoarded like 6 of these before they went bye-bye)... The Very Vanilla enamel dots will be in the Holiday Catalog today... A really cute quick and easy for you!

Can't wait to see what you all use for your POP of color!!

OSAT Blog Hoppers Back To School

Welcome to this months One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! I just can't get over how cute Andrea's stuff was!! I can't believe that summer is almost over and the kids are heading back to school! Which is our theme this month... Back to School!
If you KNOW me, I am the mother that crafts for EVERY party... I even offered to make 30 Teacher Cards to welcome our elementary school teachers back to school! I really had fun making these cards and I can't wait for you to take peak!!!

Here are my goodies! They are a little of something old, something new, something borrowed and unfortunately I didn't use blue! In these projects I used Stampin' Up! Unity Stamps and a CuttleBug embossing folder!

I started this card with a lovely base of Mossy Meadow Card Stock, With a quick layer of Tip Top Taupe. The Very Vanilla layer is stamped using the Hardwood stamp with Tip Top Taupe ink. I then cut about a 2 inch strip and embossed with a Chicken Wire embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The dotted lace trim was glued to the back before adhering the strip to the Hardwood. The Apple and "of my eye" is from Unity Stamp Co. I stamped the sentiment on the Very Vanilla card stock with Mossy Meadow ink. The Apple I made by using Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Emboss Powder. The leaf was colored in with Mossy Meadow. I finished off this great card by adhering the apple with Stampin' Dimensional and a Linen Thread Bow at the stem!

My cute little Post-It Note holder I made using Mossy Meadow Card Stock as the base so that it would coordinate with the card. I managed to find a retired school themed paper that went well with the card stock. Then embellished with linen thread and a heat embossed apple much like the one on the card. Finished with a linen thread bow! You can get the Post It Note Tutorial here.

Thank You all so much for touring the hop!!  Wait to until you see what Martie has whipped up for you!! She is so talented!

Have a fabulous day!
