TGIF Challenges 181 Great Joy Sketch

Happy TGIF!! Can you believe that the week is over?! It just blurred right by. It has been a bit chilly, we even had snow on Tuesday with more to come on Sunday according to the weather gods...

Today I am designing with the TGIF Design Team with a sketch that has many little layers. I really needed to create something that would serve more than one purpose and decided to use my Stampin' Blends with the Great Joy Stamp Set. I have an upcoming local class on October 28th that will be an introduction to our amazing Stampin' Blends. I don't think that this stamp set has been used enough and couldn't wait to ink it up! Let me show you my fun card...

I know, I know!!! Adorable, right? So let me rattle off my colors of Stampin' Blends for you. I have used both light and dark of Poppy Parade, Mint Macaron, Granny Apple Green and Smoky Slate. I came back in and added some Wink of Stella that you really can't see in this picture. After all of the coloring I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut this cutie out. Once this was done I started piecing the Santa's Workshop Memories and More Card Pack with the coordinating DSP. With accents of Poppy Parade and Mint Macaron DSP the layers quickly came together. I embellished with some of the stickers from the Memories and More card pack and made a nice little loop of Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon that I colored with Mint Macaron Blends. I still needed to come up with a sentiment. The sentiment I chose is from the Spirited Snowmen stamp set and was perfect for this fun and spunky Christmas card!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you will make with this amazing sketch! Have a fabulous weekend!!

OSAT Ghouls Goblins and Gourds Blog Hop

Happy Second Thursday of the MONTH! I am back with the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop Team and we are hopping with an so fall like Ghouls, Goblins and Gourds theme! I can't lie!!! I fell asleep at the computer attempting to get my ducks in row with my hop post... So imagine my feeling when I woke up an hour ago to the realization that I had not put my post together. That will make a girl jump up about as fast as a child throwing up...

So like I said above the theme this month is Ghouls Goblins and Gourds! I just can not get enough of the Frights and Delights Paper Pumpkin Kit with the Trick or Tweet stamp set. You may think my card looks a bit familiar. That is because when Paper Pumpkin was live on Facebook on October 1st, I was able and honored send in the card below as an alternative idea! Let me show you my projects.

The card started with a Basic Black Card Stock base. I used Gorgeous Grape Card Stock for my wonky like layer to coordinate with the Frights and Frills Paper Pumpkin Kit. The Lemon Lime Twist stripe DSP is from the Broadway Bound Specialty DSP. The little black bats also from the Paper Pumpkin kit were just the right touch. My Stampin' Blend colored Elephant from the Trick or Tweet stamp set was just too cute to not add with this card. After using the 2 1/4" Circle Punch with the Starburst Punch, I added a bit of mini striped ribbon in Gorgeous Grape and some Silver Mini Sequin trim!
I had to come up with something for a 3 D!! I always forget about the Gift Bag Punch Board. Although simple and sweet it was a perfect little favor bag for ANY Halloween party!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait for you to see the amazing Ghouls Goblins and Gourds on this hop! Have a Fabulous DAY!!!!

Creation Station Layers of Leaves Blog Hop

Happy Creation Station Sunday to you all! It seems as though Fall has fallen on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. It was a brisk yesterday watching Wesley and his team finish their football season. When we got home, we all went about our day. I went to the craft room to work on my stuff and the kids proceeded in bursting in anytime I had a crafty friend on the phone...

This month the Creation Station team has many beautiful creations with the theme "Layers of Leaves". In fact, you are probably going to see a lot of fall themes from me this week... I decided to break out a very versatile set from the annual catalog to showcase this theme. Enough talking (or typing for that matter), let me show you what I have whipped up!

I am going to be honest, the Tree Rings background stamp is something that I had to have when the Annual Catalog came out LAST year! I just haven't used it enough... The same could be said for the Colorful Seasons stamp set as well as the coordinating Seasonal Layers dies. I decided to make some watercolor wash leaves using my Aqua Painters, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze ink pads and Watercolor Paper. I die cut the washed leaves with the coordinating die in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. I also cut the copper glimmer paper from the Joyous Noel pack to adhere to them. They really turned out elegant don't you think? The Tree Rings background stamp was inked up with Crumb Cake and also stamped onto Crumb Cake for a nice lodge like feel.  The larger stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits layers nicely over the leaves and Wood Texture DSP. An added touch with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and a nice bow made of the Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8" Ribbon and this card was done.

These cute little note cards were made to coordinate with my card! They fit so nicely in the little Wood Crate! I even stamped the envelopes!

I want to thank you so much for stopping by today! I can't wait for you to see what the AMAZING Julie Beltramo has created for you, you can just click the next button below to continue along on the hop!

Joyous Deer Gift Card Holder Tutorial

Happy Thursday to all of you! The creeping crud has hit the house and the boys are home for a second day. The weather has definitely turned to fall in a matter of 24 hours... Yesterday was 90 degrees and today is not suppose to get about 55 degrees or so! I think that days of shorts and flip flops or sandals are now a recent memory. Time to whip up some comfort food!

Yesterday I was live on my Facebook page with this fun tutorial! I made a bit a of a different one for my viewers, I still like this one best! I really can't get enough of the Dashing Deer Bundle with the Joyous Noel DSP. The rich earth tones of this paper combined with the Copper Foil accents is just stunning.

Enough of the chit chat... Let me get you the tutorial!

Here is the basics...

  • Cut DSP to 6 7/8" x 6 7/8" for Envelope Punch Board (If you look at the chart on the Envelope Punch Board this is the size for a 4" x 4" Card).
  • Create Envelope with above DSP, set aside
  • Cut 4" x 4" of a coordinating Card Stock
  • Cut 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" layer (this is the layer that you would stamp a sentiment on if you would like), adhere to above layer with Liquid Multipurpose Glue
  • Cut 2 1/4" x 3 7/8" DSP (I used the same DSP but the opposite of what is on the inside, but you can you do a coordinating paper in the same pack)
  • Use your 1" Circle Punch to make a bit of a notch in the center, put Tear & Tape along bottom and both sides to adhere the DSP to the base. This will make your cute little pocket for the Gift Card to slip into.
  • Adhere the whole card base to the INSIDE of your Envelope.
  • The belly band is the closure for this card, I have used 1 1/2" x 10" strip of coordinating DSP with some Tear & Tape at the end.
That is the bare bones, You can embellish, stamp and make this as fancy as you would like. I can't wait to whip up a bunch of these to have at my vendor fairs! If you make one email me a picture! I can't wait to see them all! I have provided a full product list below for you to shop with! Remember that is purchase $50 or more, I have 14 amazing EXCLUSIVE tutorials for you to enjoy!
