The Spots #155 Spring Has Sprung

Happy Spring! I can't believe we are nearing the end of March already! Our family had amazing spring break spent with family! We went to a small indoor waterpark in Kansas, had some retail therapy and ate some really good food! It was a much needed break!

This week I am back with the The Spot design team for a fabulous Spring Has Sprung themed challenge! I know that many of us would think of Dragonflies for summer, but it is in our spring Mini-Catalog and I found that it worked! Let me show you what I have created!

This card has been made for MONTHS! I can't believe that I hadn't blogged it yet and it worked out well because I was struggling to create ANYTHING yesterday! The card started with an Early Espresso stamped off Dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden Bundle. The wings have a bit of Petal Pink stamped on the inside. I then used the coordinating punch to punch this out and set it aside. The wildflowers and smaller dragonflies were stamped with Versamark on my wood grain In Good Taste DSP and then sprinkled with our white Stampin' Emboss powder to heat emboss. I used our Blending Brushes with a bit of Just Jade on Very Vanilla before heat embossing the sentiment with Stampin' Emboss Gold and die cutting with a stitched circle from our Stitched Shapes Dies. Elegant Faceted Gems are one of my all time favorite embellishments and added a subtle touch with my Linen Thread bow.

I can't wait to see your Spring Has Sprung designs this week! Have an amazing Tuesday

OSAT January 2021 Say Hello To Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! I can't believe that the second Thursday of this month is falling so late. Hope you are all well and healthy. We are having some CRAZY winds. I honestly thought that my house was going to blow away last night. It is suppose to stay windy throughout today and I think tomorrow... perfect days to wear a beanie! Wesley has an appointment today for his ADHD medications, he has been struggling with the fact that he feels a bit tired while at school so with him now being a teenager I am sure we are a point where he may need to be on less. Joshua's allergies are in full tilt according to the doctor on Tuesday, he keeps having this cough and when your mom gut instinct kicks in and says its allergies, it was time for a doctor visit as we need to be able to have a note at school stating as such with the current climate. The good news, and I probably shouldn't put this out in the universe, only 1 kid has been quarantined since the start of school. We are so blessed!  ENOUGH about this lets get to the good stuff!
Welcome to the first One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop of the year! This months hop is dedicated to the new goodies in the January-June 2021 Stampin'  Up! Mini Catalog! I have to be honest, I wasn't sure I was in love with ANY of it but I am thinking that I was trying to use reverse psychology and I can't wait for you all to get your hands on these amazing products! Today I am creating with a fun suite called the Ice Cream Corner Suite, this fun and cheerful suite has a stamp set and punch bundle, DSP, Ribbon and even some sprinkles to go on top! I haven't used the WHOLE suite today, but let me show you what I have created!

I must confess that it seems that in this day of age we are constantly in the state of flying by the seat of our pants! When I created this card it was for another project and well teenage boys happened! I started by using the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks and our NEW Blending Brushes. I used the coordinating colors from the Ice Cream Corner DSP to create my polka dot pattern, starting with Bumblebee, and then used the following colors Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss and Terracotta Tile. I just love the Blending Brushes and the way this turned out! Next I stamped the popsicles from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. First in the lighter of colors which was Petal Pink and Pool Party (I didn't put them on my list below!) and the bottom portion in Terracotta Tile and Bermuda Bay with a cute little Cinnamon Cider popsicle stick! The popsicles are really easy to fussy cut. I have a large stitched circle that I have splattered a bit with Old Olive, Bumblebee and Bermuda Bay before stamping the sentiment in Terracotta Tile. After arranging the popsicles with Stampin' Dimensionals on the circle, I added a bit of Pool Party Sheer and Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon. A few Artistry Blooms sequins was a perfect touch.

The coordinating gift bag you see above was created with a bit of Bermuda Bay card stock and the Ice Cream Corner DSP. You can usually stumble on these cute little bags in the gift wrap section of any store. I decided to also embellish with the same ribbon that I had used on the card. I again used to the Stitched Shapes Dies, using the largest Oval instead. It is stamped with Bermuda Bay ink with a sentiment that is also from the Sweet Ice Cream set.  I couldn't help but add a few of the Artistry Blooms Sequins as well!

I am so glad that you stopped by today, I can't wait for you to see what all of my friends have made! You can click along the link list below to see all the awesomness!
I am going to try not to blow away. Have a fabulous day!

The Spot 130 Sketch Challenge

Have you ever had a time in your life that no matter what you try, you can't catch up or manage your time? That has been me lately, and while I feel that my time has been used relatively wisely... I can't catch up. Laundry, Dishes, life... It is all one big mess!! Throw in football practice and church obligations and it really makes for an interesting whirlwind but somehow, I always find time to create!

This week on The Spot we have a fabulous sketch for you. I say it is fabulous because I love a sketch that has SOOOOOO many possibilities. My brain actually went in a lot of directions... but it settled on this design and I can't wait to show you!

This fun and festive Christmas card features the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper, Peace & Joy Bundle and the Sweetest Time Bundle. I had so much creating this fun yet relatively easy card! The polka dot and festive saying from the Trimming the Town DSP is nicely matted with Old Olive card stock. This sits on a card base of Misty Moonlight. The stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies are adorned with holly (with Poppy Parade Berries and Old Olive leaves) are stamped and die cut using the Sweetest Time Bundle. It was the perfect touch with my Misty Moonlight stamped sentiment from the Peace & Joy Bundle. I simply die cut this with the coordinating dies and added it to the stitched circle before adding the "on earth" stamped in Old Olive!

I am so glad that you stopped in today to check out my card! I can't wait to see what you create for this weeks challenge!

The Spot 103 Pick 3 Very Versailles

Good Tuesday! I hope today finds you in good health! We have spent a lot of time lately as a family outside. Taryn's endeavor of showing pigs for fair this year is coming to fruition! We are now the proud owner of two pigs! These are Taryn's 4-H project and yes she understands what happens once they run through the sale at fair.

This week The Spot Design Team is creating with a color challenge! Blushing Bride, Grapefruit Grove, Rococo Rose, Early Espresso, Basic Gray and Soft Sea Foam! We really want you to pick 3 and go from there but I decided to use 4 and maybe a bit of gold! Let me show you what I have created!

This card started on Very Vanilla. With Soft Sea Foam stamped leaves and the script stamped in Early Espresso from the stamp set Very Versailles. I decided that it needed a bit of heat embossed Stampin' Emboss Gold Splatters. I stamped the medallion type stamp with Blushing Bride, and then I die cut it with one of the dies from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and then layered it up with a stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies that is stamped with Soft Sea Foam. A bit of Rococo Rose is stamped underneath. It is accented with some Gold Foil leaves and the Very Vanilla lace trim! This card was perfect to add the Gold Gilded gems. This is on a layer of Blushing Bride with an Early Espresso card base!

I can't wait to see what you create with this weeks colors! You only have until Saturday night to get those cards entered! The link is above! Have a great day!

OSAT Winter Festival Blog Hop

Happy Thursday!  I am back with One Stamp At A Time blog hop... I know that we are a bit early... but myself and a bunch of my Stampin' Up! friends are going to OnStage next week and I would have hated to interrupt their travels if anything on the hop had gone wrong!

Today we are hopping with the theme Winter Festival! I am up to my eyeballs in creating and assembling for a craft fair this weekend so I decided to give you guys a sneak peek!!

My creations today came together fairly simply. I made a set of 5 cards like the one above with the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper. It has a nice Stitched Circle of the DSP and a punched tree from the Perfectly Plaid Bundle in Old Olive. My Sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler, in fact I used my Stamparatus on this set of cards so that the sentiment was in the same place on each one. This is accented with a nice strip of Gold Foil and a Crumb Cake stamped pine cone.

The treat holder has a nice base of Sahara Sand. I stumbled on this tutorial last Christmas and decided that these would be great for the craft fair. Again I have used the Night Before Christmas DSP and the coordinating Memories and More cards. I have used the same Stitched Circle Die to cut the Santa seal and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. This is nicely accented with the Gold Metallic edge Very Vanilla Ribbon!

I am so glad that you have stopped by today! I can't wait for you to see what my friends have created for you today!
