TGIF 322 Farmhouse Chic Designer Takeover

Thank goodness it is Friday! The last time I posted was two weeks ago. It has been a really difficult two weeks. On June 13th our family got word of a horrible single car accident with 4 teenagers in the car. Two of the kids were flown out and the others were treated and walked away.  One of them was Wesley's friend. Not just any friend, Owen was a boy with a heart of gold and never did anything malicious and early on the following Monday, his mom called to tell me that he did not make it. It has been so hard to process for myself and Wesley. Things are slowly moving forward and I can't thank this community enough for the support being given to not only Owen's family but to our teenagers and those of us grieving...
Enough about that! So I have been trying to stamp again, it really isn't a conducive to cry while stamping it can make a mess! My personal goal was to not cry this week. I had already failed on Monday... but I have had better luck as the week has gone on! When Jeanna reminded me that this week was my challenge I started to overthink things... in typical Andrea fashion of course.

There is nothing more farmhouse than the kitchen and slowly started to piece together what was running through my mind as farmhouse. So for today's card I have used the What's Cookin' Bundle with the Pattern Party DSP and of course In Good Taste DSP. Let me you show you what I have created!

I started with the stamped  utensils in Gray Granite, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Jet Black Stazon. I love that these all have coordinating dies. The cutting board is cut out of Crumb Cake but I used a Blending Brush with Soft Suede to ink it up a bit. If you are a Hobby Lobby person you will know that the Black and White Buffalo Check is a thing in farmhouse trends. This strip from the Pattern Party DSP is nicely layered over a piece of Soft Succulent Cardstock. This sits over a piece of wood paper from the In Good Taste DSP. What can be more farmhouse than wood, right?! The sentiment is heat embossed in White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Once I arranged everything and adhered them I added a nice little Linen Thread bow! I just love how this all came together on my Crumb Cake card base!

Now it is your turn! Design a card with YOUR version of Farmhouse Chic! I can't wait to see what everyone creates! Have an amazing weekend!

OSAT Down at The Farm Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! Two days of blog posts in a row, who knew?! Spent a couple hours at the pool yesterday with another demonstrator friend before coming home to let the cable guy fix our play room cable... a day early! Who does that?! Aren't the cable guys usually late? I am not being ungrateful, but he texted me at noon asking if he could come in the afternoon. I have had plans for a month to go to the pool yesterday with Janet!! So I told him he could come at 4 pm! Troy came home, we did some grilling and chilling and I fell asleep in the recliner... again.
This month with the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop our theme is Down On The Farm. We try to leave it up for interpretation. You may see farm animals, gingham, and of course a farmhouse chic style. I chose to go with the farmhouse chic direction with Country Home and a little bit of Daisy Lane! Lets take a look...

My card started with the piece of DSP. This great piece of DSP is from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper!!! I know, I know, I am using the HECK out of this paper. It is that versatile!! With the wood, burlap and flowers in this paper pack, not to mention 24 sheets it is an amazing paper to have in your stash! I used Basic Gray ink to stamp my cream can onto the new Fluid 100 watercolor paper and used the Basic Gray Water Color Pencil to assist in watercoloring it. This is nicely layered over a strip of wood patterned DSP also from the Pressed Petals pack and a piece of lace that I have "ruffled" using some tear n tape! A few Pear Pizzazz springs and a Rococo Rose Daisy from Daisy Lane and this part of my card was done. I chose the "Simply Thankful For All The Good Things" sentiment from the Country Home stamp set. It is heat embossed using the Stampin' Emboss White and has a nice pop to it! This is nicely matted onto a piece of Rococo Rose, with a small accent on the top right corner and a Sahara Sand Card Base.

I chose to do the pillow box because it was easy and they are darling! I have wrapped a piece of the Pear Pizzazz that has been embossed with the Corrugated embossing folder, a cute little border piece of DSP and some more lace! My box is empty so I can do as I please!!

Thank You so much for stopping in today for the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! I can't wait for you to see what the rest of my friends have come up with for you! You will find the full link list below! Happy Thursday!

Creation Station Favortie Color Combo Blog Hop

Good Sunday morning! It is July 1st which means I am back with the Creation Station hopping along with a few friends showing off our favorite color combos!
I am not going to do deny that the decision was hard as to choose my favorite combination. With all of the new colors introduced with our Annual Catalog, what could go wrong, Right?!

This card started with a wonderful Soft Seafoam Green Card Stock with a nice matte of Sahara Sand to use with my Very Vanilla stamped layer. I chose to use the Jar Of Love and Country Road stamp sets. I have stamped the grassy like design from Country Road using Soft Seafoam Green. My Petal Pink water colored jar from Jars of Love was just the right touch with this Farm House Chic feeling card. The Wagon Wheel was stamped in Sahara Sand and fussy cut using Paper snips as well as the Copper Heat embossed star that I chose to sponge with Mint Macaron so it was patina like in person. I few accents with Corrugated Elements, Frame Elements, Linen Thread and some Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and this card was ready for its Mint Macaron Sentiment!
