Stamp Ink Paper 206 - Thankful

Happy Tuesday! It is so nice to be back home! I spent the weekend at Stampin' Up! OnStage with most of my amazing friends. It is funny how just a couple of days laughing, stamping and just being goofy can rejuvenate your soul. How fitting for the challenge today be about being Thankful... because I am so thankful for my circle of friends this weekend and obviously Troy for keeping the kids alive. 

This next TWO week Stamp Ink Paper challenge is themed "Thankful", I had to pull a card from the stash in order to participate and keep the boss happy! I have to say that this is one of my favorites this fall. I have to thank Cindy Schuster from Stampin' Up! Concept Art Department for telling me about the Aqua painter and Shimmer White Card Stock technique. Let me show you what I have created.

This amazing fall themed card has a rich base of Cajun Craze with a mat of Mint Macaron. I have stamped the large leaf from the Gather Together Bundle on Shimmer White card stock with Pear Pizzazz ink. I had my Aqua Painter in ready to move the ink around as soon as I stamped it. A nice strip of the gingham pattern from the Come To Gather DSP was great way to incorporate more colors. This is accented with a Corrugated embossed Pear Pizzazz strip and a double bow of the Cajun Craze thread from the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo Pack. I have used the die that embosses the leaves on Mint Macaron, Pretty Peacock and Cajun Craze. These leaves come out amazing when you just give them a little spritz of water. A few Gold Metallic Pearls on the sentiment stamped circle from the Stitched Shapes dies and this beauty was done.

Third Thursdays Hello Holiday Blog Hop

Can you believe that it is already Thursday!? We are off to a watch Wesley play Football in Holyoke this afternoon. He came home from practice the other day telling me that he has decided to play Basketball as well... So it seems that the busy mom schedule will not have a lull after football is over!

Today I am back with the 3rd Thursday Blog Hop team designing cards with goodies from our new Holiday Catalog! I actually have two card classes this weekend using products from the new catalog so it was perfect timing! 

This amazing fall themed card is created using the Gather Together and Coming to Gather Designer Series Paper. Would you believe that I designed this TODAY! After seeing a card one of our concept artists made, I asked her how she colored the pumpkins. Needless to say, this may be my new favorite technique! I simply stamped onto our Shimmery White cardstock and used my Aquapainter to move the ink around! My leaf was done with Early Espresso and the pumpkins were done in Cajun Craze, Gray Granite and Mint Macaron. This layered onto a gingham stitched oval with a few Cajun Craze thread loops. I adhered this over a Gray Granite Birch stamped background that is accented with the polka dot burlap designer series paper. A nice big bow and Pretty Peacock sentiment was perfect touch. This is nicely matted on Early Espresso card stock with a base of Mint Macaron!

Paper Craft Crew Autumn Days

We are halfway through the week!! Can you believe it?! It seems that life has gotten in the way of A LOT! Sometimes family and life need to come first! I am finally catching up with things and I couldn't wait to design with the Paper Craft Crew this week!

 This week we are designing with Inspiration! An Autumn Days Inspiration Challenge!! I am longing for our temps to feel like Fall and less like summer!! I have two classes this weekend and Gather Together Bundle is my class for Sunday so it was time to get it a bit inky!

I was a bit overstimulated when I made this card... It turned out amazing though! My card base is in Early Espresso with a nice mat of Sahara Sand. I stamped the maple leaf from the Gather Together in Sahara Sand ink and added the sprinkles in Early Espresso. I decided that a Mint Macaron water colored pumpkin from the Harvest Hellos Bundle was just the right pop of color I wanted! A nice strip of the polka dot burlap from the Come To Gather DSP was a great added touch with my Linen Thread bow that's holding my wood tag from the Tags & Feathers elements. To give this a bit more panache, I have heat embossed the sentiment in Gold on the wood tag!

OSAT Welcome To the Holiday Blog Hop

Can you believe that today is the second Thursday of September already?! Time sure is flying and it seems that my constant state of organized chaos is now my new norm! 

Today I am back with the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop team and we are hopping with all of our new goodies from the new Holiday catalog with the theme "Welcome To Our Holiday". I decided what better to use than the Harvest Hello's. Let me show you what I have created for your favorite teacher!

This great card features our Harvest Hello's Bundle! I have colored the apple with Poppy Parade, Light Petal Pink and Soft Suede Blends. This is nicely layered onto the Gingham piece of Shaded Spruce gingham DSP and accented with the Decorative Trim Border Punch. The Come To Gather DSP was the perfect piece to have this layered onto! I have fussy cut the sentiment that I have stamped in Soft Suede. A nice Bakers Twine bow was just what this apple needed.

I found the caramel apple lollipops at our Dollar General. I have taken a nice piece of Soft Suede Card stock and cut it  at 5.5" x 2.5", You will score it at 2.5" and 3". I have used the Come to Gather DSP to coordinate with the card. These are cut at 2" x 2 1/8" and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I punched two holes on either side of the stick of the lollipop to tie the Braided Linen Trim. Another Poppy Parade colored apple from the Harvest Hello's bundle and a couple cute gingham leaves and this cutie was done!
