Third Thursday Fond Farewell Blog Hop

Well, have you survived the week?! I am barely there! I am no joke on my way out the door to Taryn's spring party! Easter Treats in tow! The kids do not have school tomorrow so I am sure no one will want to sleep in!
On this months Third Thursdays blog hop we are hopping with the theme "A Fond Farewell". With the retiring list coming out this past Monday, I found out the sad news that the Follow Your Dreams Bundle will NOT be carrying over! Gasp, cry... Do what you got to do... The creations I am showing you today were created for a fun After Party Brynn Thornburgh hosted in Salt Lake City! I was asked to design two make and takes... Here is what I made!

The Follow Your Dreams bundle is sadly retiring... Although it will not leave my craft room! I have paired it with Mint Macaron and Petal Pink with touches of the Wood Textures DSP and Champagne Foil. To keep my projects cohesive, for the pizza box I have used the Wood Textures DSP again with Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand and Pear Pizzazz.

Thank You so much for stopping by! I can't wait for you to see what Kimberly has made for you, you can get to her blog by clicking the next button below!

TGIF 175 Varied Vases Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

Friday! Friday! Friday is my favorite day! Especially on a long weekend! We got home late last night from Wesley's first middle school game! You can tell that the kids had jitters and were a little bit nervous! They had great attitudes for the 7th grade game. The second game was for 8th grade! It was a barn burner 24-20 them! We lost a player at half time. Wesley was super emotional! We will be saying a prayer for that kiddo!

This week with TGIF We have a challenging Tic Tac Toe! I couldn't wrap my head around a clear concise idea. Clean And Simple is an esthetic that I truly struggle with and saw this as an opportunity to try it out! I made my three in a row by going straight across, let me show you my card!

This great card started with a piece of Thick Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped the stemmed flower with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Stampin' Blends in Highland Heather and Lovely Lipstick with some Granny Apple Green stems! The Artisan Textures has a little stamp that makes the appearance of a shadow or table top. I have also taken one of the vase stamps and created a vase using Gorgeous Grape in the Brights Designer Series Paper pack and adhered it over my flowers. A few Silver Metallic Pearls, Silver and White Bakers Twine and a simple Thanks sentiment and my card front was done! It is nicely matted using Lovely Lipstick Card Stock with a Gorgeous Grape Card Base!

I can't wait to see what you all create for this challenge! Happy Stamping!

Notes of Kindess meets Artisan Textures

Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to an amazing start! At our house today it will be packed full of folding clothes, cleaning and I am sure the kids will throw some bickering in there.

This week I took the time to just create! After seeing the Fab Friday sketch yesterday, I decided to not just design a card for the sketch, but to also use the color challenge from Global Design Project as my launching point. I really don't get to play along with many other challenges, but in an effort to blog 5-7 days a week I decided to play along!

The Notes of Kindness kit is a fabulous all inclusive kit in the Annual Catalog. I don't often open a kit up and intend on using it as it is intended. The colors in this kit are some of my favorite but I wanted to try an "alternate" idea. Let me show you my card...

My card started with one of the die cuts from the Notes of Kindness Kit. The stamp set alone makes this kit one of my favorites. I inked up the large sentiment with Blackberry Bliss ink and stamped it on Whisper White card stock. Although the kit comes with a stitched square to be stamped on, I chose to use the Stitched Shapes Framelits for my stitched square. My nice piece of Grapefruit Grove DSP is from the Natures Poem DSP. I tied a nice bow with the 1/4" Copper Trim. I love a card to have some visual texture. The Artisan Textures stamp set has just the right pieces to do that. The spatter type was perfect with my Mint Macaron ink on opposite corners. Time to start finishing this up. I adhered the die cut with sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals over the DSP banner and Copper Trim. The Whisper White layer is matted on Blackberry Bliss card stock to help my sentiment pop. Without question Mint Macaron was going to be my card base! I added some of the Faceted Dots and this beauty was done!

Thank you so much for stopping in today! I have provided links to the challenges that I have entered below.
