Stamp Ink Paper 151 ABC's and 123's Graduation Card

Happy Tuesday! I am back with the Stamp Ink Paper Design Team for a fun challenge to wind up the school year! The kids start summer at noon tomorrow, and although the bickering will be strong, I am ready for school to be DONE!

The Challenge this week is super fun and obviously left up to your interpretation. We want you to make a card with ABC's or 123's. If you need some inspiration you can take a peek by clicking the link below to see what our design team has come up with.

In the past, I would have posted that I would take graduation card orders. Last year I found that when I did that, I ran out of the creativity that I needed to make my own. So when the owner of the bakery and espresso bar that I sometimes hold classes at asked me, I told her yes but not to broadcast it. I have 4 cards to make for her, let me show you the first one!

So with the color revamp just over a week away, I can't wait for you all to get your hands on the new purples!!  This fun Gorgeous Grape based card is right up our Wray Eagle alley! Our school color is purple and the Gorgeous Grape is going to be an amazing color for anything school related! I have layered up Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks using the Amazing Congratulations stamp set and the Stamparatus! You will notice that I also layered these colors with the Playful Backgrounds stamp set. Once I had this done, I die cut the 2018 with the retiring Large Number Framelits (Which are still in stock!). The Basic Black card stock was perfect for this card to pop with the amazing eclipse technique. It needed a finishing sparkled so a mix of Metallic Sequins and Clear Faceted Gems were just the right touch!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see you play with the idea of  "ABC's & 123's"! Have an amazing day!

TGIF 100 Designer Spotlight Mercedes Weber

Friday! Friday! Friday is my favorite day, YAY! We are celebrating 60 MPH gusts out here on the plains! They had initially talked about getting our first severe storms of the year last night but that apparently blew right past us and went into Nebraska! The snow has so far skipped us but we are getting rain, and we so NEED it!

TGIF Challenges is celebrating #100!! We are on our 100th challenge and what better that to celebrate our creator, Mercedes Weber!

Being new to the team I really wasn't sure where to go with the card for this particular challenge. Mercedes really has no particular trademark style because anything that she creates is amazing. In doing some research I decided that I wanted something soft yet simple.

The card started with a Soft Sky Butterfly adorned with Basic Pearls that I colored with a gold sharpie marker. My cute little gold dots were created using the Playful Background set and then heat embossed using Versamark, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and Heat Tool. Once I did this to the Very Vanilla tag I decided I should add a bit of it onto the Falling In Love DSP! The Tag has a nice piece of the Gold Satin Ribbon with a Metallic Gold Thread bow. You will also notice the thread behind the Butterfly. I chose "Thank You" from the Thoughtful Banner set because I really can't thank Mercedes enough for giving me this opportunity to be on this design team! It too is heat embossed in gold on a accent piece of Sahara Sand. I made this cuter little banner using the Classic Label Punch!

Thank you so much for stopping in! Until next time

My Birthday Bash Step Up

As promised, I am coming to you today with a great "Step it Up" idea! Last week I was running out of time for the OSAT Blog Hop and needed to come up with some thing cute and fast. So I busted out my Gift Card Envelope die and cut out this coordinating "treat holder" below. You can see the orignal post but clicking the photo below! Let me show you how I stepped it up first!

I untied the ribbon that I used to wrap around it and simply punched a hole into a 1/2" and 3/4" Circle Punches and looped the ribbon in! I added some Whisper White Bakers Twine in a cute little bow around the ribbon. I made a nice belly band using the coordinating DSP from Tasty Treats. A nice stitched circle stamped with Playful Backgrounds and the Cool Treats was layered onto a Dazzling Diamond Scallop Circle from the Layering Circles die set. Some cute little banners and a little bit of washi was just the right touch!

Adorable right? Thank you so much for stopping by to see how I stepped up my quick and easy project from Thursday!
