Creation Station Texture Blog Hop

Happy 4th of July! Today is going to be a day full of laughter, friends both new and old and food! I spent most of yesterday making up things for a feast tonight. We are doing burgers, brats and Hot Dogs with the potato salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs and I whipped a 7-Layer dip. I am sure there is more food coming but I don't know what everyone else is bringing! Wesley and I went to the firework stand to get some fireworks to light at home. Lets hope that Mother Nature cooperates!

It has been a while since I hopped with the Creation Station team! If you have read my blog over the last few weeks, I have a good excuse. Although this months theme of "Texture", I couldn't wait to hop along! Today I have created this cheerful "Feel Better Soon" card with the What A Year Memories & More Card Pack and the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set. Lets take a look!

This little cutie started with the What A Year Memories & More Card Pack. My goal when I started to brain storm was to not use the Pattern Party or the In Good Taste paper packs. As those seem to be my go to lately. I rummaged the pack of cards and settled on the Polished Pink plaid like card and the lined card with the flowers. I cut the plaid down to a 3.75" x 5" card front. To add a bit of visual texture I used the Stitched with Whimsy dies. On the smaller card, I simply rounded the corners with our Detailed Trio Punch and added a hole for the ribbons. The plaid was then adhered with Stampin' Seal to a Pool Party Cardstock Mat. The tag was accented with the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon and Bumblebee Gingham. A bit of Basic White Bakers Twine was tied around it. My Label Me Lovely Punch of Polished Pink was embossed with one of the Greenery Embossing Folders. The cute little striped strip was also from one of the smaller cards in the Memories and More pack. I cut it into about a 1/2" strip. The heat embossed sentiment from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set in white was perfect for my Bumblebee die cut from the Tasteful Labels Dies!

I have adhered the Bumblebee circle to the strip with a bit of Stampin' Seal before adding the twine and adhering it to the Label Me Lovely Punch with Stampin' Dimensionals. The finishing touch for this adorable card was the Playing With Pattern Resin Dots mixed with a couple Basic Rhinestones!

I am so glad that you stopped by today! I can't wait for you to see what my amazingly talented best friend Jeanna has created for you! You can get to her by clicking the next button below! Have an amazing Sunday!

The Spot #107 Birthday Challenge

Good Morning! I hope that everyone is in good health on this beautiful spring morning!
This is going to be a short and sweet... I have school stuff to enforce, pigs to feed, and one more post for later today!

This week The Spot Design Team has an easy challenge for you ALL to participate in... Birthdays!!!  We all need birthday cards and I am sure that many of us are sending more out than maybe we once were! You can get all of the details by clicking the graphic above but let me show you what I have created today!

This card started with a Bermuda Bay card base with a Mango Melody mat.  I have used the Birthday Bonanza DSP paired with the scalloped rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly dies to create this fun and cheery card. I have decided to use the Label Me Bold stamp set with the Label Me Lovely Punch to create my great little sentiment. I stamped the sentiment using the Stazon Jet Black and fussy cut it! It is layered over a stamped background of Mango Melody and Bermuda Bay stars. The Foam Adhesive strips were great for this little rectangle sentiment! What is a card from me with out a few little gems! The Gilded Gems are a new go to in my craft room and are available now from the upcoming Annual Catalog!

I am so excited to see what you create for this fun challenge I hope you

The Spot 102 Good Luck-Tags In Bloom

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! Good Tuesday to you all! I hope that today finds you all well.  The kids are on spring break and we are still waiting on word about school closures. It is great that we live in a rural area of Colorado and at this point, our county and those surrounding it have had no confirmed cases. of COVID-19. My goal is to not blog about COVID-19 but to keep coming to you with card and paper crafting ideas, and will be introducing the class to go option as well!
This week with The Spot, we are designing with a theme! Since today is St Patrick's day we decided to create with a "Good Luck" Theme. You can get all of the details of the challenge above. I have finally inked up the Tags In Bloom and used my Scripty Embossing Folder.

I have to tell you that the stress level in my house has been high, between Josh's emergency appendectomy, spring break and the total state of our country... I am just stressed!!! It made my card making skills a bit absent to say the least!

This card started with the flower like frame stamped in Memento Ink onto Whisper White card stock. I have used Blackberry Bliss and Soft Sea Foam blends to color this beauty. I then tested my fussy cutting skills and fussy cut it out. Next, I stamped the stitch like stamp with Soft Sea Foam ink. The Blackberry Bliss sentiment was perfect for the soft yet rich card. I was so excited to use the Label Me Lovely Punch with this! This is nicely layered over a strip of Champagne Foil and Whisper White card stock that has been embossed with the Scripty Embossing Folder. I sponged a bit of Soft Sea Foam. A double bow of the Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon and a few Champagne Rhinestone and this bad boy was done!

I can't wait to see you participate with this weeks challenge!
Hope you have a fabulous week!
