Creation Station Casing the Annual Catalog

Good morning! I am sure that you all have thought about a time or two, and maybe even thought that I had called it quits! I am not!!! In fact, I am making a big come back. I will talk about some of that later this week. For today let me just show you what I have been up to crafting wise!

Today I make my return to the Creation Station Design Team. Now we are supposed to be casing the catalog.... but all I got out of that was playing with new goodies from our Annual Catalog! I was recently asked to make a real pretty card for an aunt and couldn't think of better stamp set than the Layers of Beauty. Let me go ahead and show you what I have created for you guys today!

This card started with a piece of our Thick Basic White card stock, I simply stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black and proceeded in coloring it with Stampin' Blends using Daffodil Delight, Peach Pie, Poppy Parade and Soft Seafoam. I then used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut the square out. This is nicely layered onto a piece of Basic Black, but you will notice that the die cut piece is popped up with some Stampin' Dimensionals. I accented this with some of the small leaf dies in the Subtle DSP in Soft Seafoam and added a quick little tag with some Linen Thread. The spatters were created using the brush tip end of my blends, and if you look super close there is even some Wink of Stella!

I am so excited to be back creating again! You can click along the hop below and see what my friend Teri West has in store for you!!

Creation Station Happy New To You Blog Hop

Good Sunday morning and Happy New Year! It is downright chilly this morning, woke up to -6 degrees (Fahrenheit) with a wind chill of -12. Apparently at some point our power must have went out because I woke up to the TV off ( I sleep with it on), the fire siren going off in town and the Christmas tree lights on. It was a good thing though because I needed to get up so to type up my post.

I am so excited for the January-June Mini Catalog!! You only have about 36-48 Hours until you will be able to shop all of these amazingness! Today I am hopping with my friends on the Creation Station Design Team and we are hopping with the theme "Happy New To You" and I couldn't wait to ink up the upcoming punch bundle Cactus Cuties!

This great little bundle features a Cactus Builder Punch and a great photopolymer stamp set. Although I decided that I needed a bit of different sentiment. Enough about that, lets take a look at the full card, did I mention its a slimline?

So this fabulous slimline card started with an amazing base of Granny Apple Green. My Basic White layer is stamped using the Cactus Cuties stamp set. I have used Granny Apple Green and Soft Seafoam inks. I also added a few Magenta Madness cactus flowers from the Cactus Builder Punch. I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to create some fun splatters on the card. We all know how much I love funny sayings, and a shirt I saw on a website recently had a cluster of cactus and it said "Not A Hugger"... As does this fun card! I have used the Playful Alphabet dies to die cut the Basic Black letters that are accented with a bit of Clear Wink of Stella.  To finish this fun slimline card it is accented with a few of the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I am so glad that you stopped by today! I sure hope you are warming than we are here! Next on the hop is Barb Pfeffer and you can get to her by clicking the next button below!

Creation Station Texture Blog Hop

Happy 4th of July! Today is going to be a day full of laughter, friends both new and old and food! I spent most of yesterday making up things for a feast tonight. We are doing burgers, brats and Hot Dogs with the potato salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs and I whipped a 7-Layer dip. I am sure there is more food coming but I don't know what everyone else is bringing! Wesley and I went to the firework stand to get some fireworks to light at home. Lets hope that Mother Nature cooperates!

It has been a while since I hopped with the Creation Station team! If you have read my blog over the last few weeks, I have a good excuse. Although this months theme of "Texture", I couldn't wait to hop along! Today I have created this cheerful "Feel Better Soon" card with the What A Year Memories & More Card Pack and the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set. Lets take a look!

This little cutie started with the What A Year Memories & More Card Pack. My goal when I started to brain storm was to not use the Pattern Party or the In Good Taste paper packs. As those seem to be my go to lately. I rummaged the pack of cards and settled on the Polished Pink plaid like card and the lined card with the flowers. I cut the plaid down to a 3.75" x 5" card front. To add a bit of visual texture I used the Stitched with Whimsy dies. On the smaller card, I simply rounded the corners with our Detailed Trio Punch and added a hole for the ribbons. The plaid was then adhered with Stampin' Seal to a Pool Party Cardstock Mat. The tag was accented with the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon and Bumblebee Gingham. A bit of Basic White Bakers Twine was tied around it. My Label Me Lovely Punch of Polished Pink was embossed with one of the Greenery Embossing Folders. The cute little striped strip was also from one of the smaller cards in the Memories and More pack. I cut it into about a 1/2" strip. The heat embossed sentiment from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set in white was perfect for my Bumblebee die cut from the Tasteful Labels Dies!

I have adhered the Bumblebee circle to the strip with a bit of Stampin' Seal before adding the twine and adhering it to the Label Me Lovely Punch with Stampin' Dimensionals. The finishing touch for this adorable card was the Playing With Pattern Resin Dots mixed with a couple Basic Rhinestones!

Creation Station Out West Blog Hop

Good Morning! This last week has been such a doozy. The good news is that it is OVER and today starts a brand new week! The kids have a 4 day school week with no school on Friday, not sure if I am excited about spring break or if I should go into this all cautiously. A year ago tomorrow, Joshua kicked off his spring break early with his appendectomy and then our whole world fell apart with COVID. We plan on having some fun this break though with plans to go to an indoor water park and some pig shopping! I can't wait for our barn to be full of pigs again! We claimed one last night for Josh from our friends, 1 down 5 my more pigs to go!

Today I am back in the swing of things with the Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop. I may have had some doing with regards to our Outwest/Outback Theme. It is an esthetic that is very much our families lifestyle. We have horses, 4H animals and love our agricultural friends! I chose to ink up the Ride The Range Bundle, I know it is on backorder BUT that doesn't mean you can't order it and make sure you stake your claim! Let me show you what I rounded up for you!

So this card started with a piece of Cinnamon Cider card stock piece that I decided to emboss with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder. You see, I had this epiphany about using our Blending Brushes and making a piece of what I thought would look like tooled leather. Like a saddle or even a belt. I used Soft Suede and Early Espresso with our Blending Brushes. The sponge daubers were perfect to get the raised details a bit darker. Next, I stamped the barbed wire on a label from the Tasteful Labels dies with Early Espresso Ink and layered it over a piece of our Misty Moonlight In Color DSP. The fence was die cut from a piece of Crumb Cake and a wood scrap from the In Good Taste DSP and adhered together so that it has dimension. My windmill is also cut twice and adhered together this time using some Soft Suede and added a bit of sparkle with the some Wink Of Stella. The sentiment stamped onto the Basic White Label from the Tasteful Labels Dies is stamped in Misty Moonlight to coordinate with the Blender Pen colored jeans that I colored on the cowboy. Once I had all of my layers arranged and adhered with Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Dimensionals, I added a a few Star Designer Elements. A mat of Misty Moonlight and Crumb Cake card base had me hollering "YEE-HAW" when this card was done!

I can't wait for you to see what Kathy has created for this hop! You can get to her by clicking the next button below!

Have an amazing Sunday!

Creation Station Man After My Heart Hop

Happy Sunday! We decided to not go to the pig show today... a bit bummed but, the wind is down right crazy and there is nothing worse than feeling like you have 80 grit in your eyes! Mother Nature tried to provide some moisture but it just was not enough. Today our church has its first in person service since the pandemic started. To say that I am happy is understatement.

Today, I am creating and hopping with the Creation Station Design Team. We are creating masculine cards with the theme "A Man After My Own Heart". I was lucky because when our annual catalog went live on Wednesday, I was able to expedite things... So todays creation is made with goodies from the new catalog. When you look at today's card there is a chance you may not get it... But if you know me and know that I love a good play on words or country music, You will get it! rLet's take a look!

I can't tell you how many ways I envisioned making this card. If you haven't heard the song "Sunshine & Whiskey" you may not understand this card right away and that is okay! That was my inspiration for this fun card that started with the two whiskey bottles from the new stamp set Whiskey Business. They are colored with Cinnamon Cider and Pool Party Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut with my Paper Snips. The heat embossed gold sentiment is from Ronda Wade's Million Dollar Achiever set called Ridiculously Awesome. It was stamped on Whisper White and also fussy cut so that I could layer it over my whiskey bottles. My layer of Whisper White was stamped with Pool Party ink using another new set called Textured Essentials, this set is sure to please and his kind of hidden in the catalog! After I had that finished I layered a strip of wood designer series paper from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. The Bottles are adhered over this with our new Stampin' Seal (WHICH I LOVE). I used the Foam Adhesive Strips to adhere my sentiment and a few Gilded Gems to finish this off!

I hope you enjoyed my fun and masculine card! If you haven't heard the song go find it! Next on the hop today is Kerstin, you can get to her by clicking the next button below. Need a list of the products I used, that is below the next button as well! Have a great Sunday!

Creation Station Full Monty Blog Hop

Sunday, Sunday... a day that is a blessing and a curse. Especially with tomorrow being a Monday! Have you seen the story out there about the teen that is trying to get the Super Bowl moved to Saturday and the statistics about how many people that DO NOT show up to work the Monday following Super Bowl Sunday? This kid is onto something!

I am back with the Creation Station Design Team for a what we are calling a "Full Monty" blog hop! The idea was for us to hop with product suites from the catalog with an emphasis on our Mini... Well, I decided to showcase a suite that could be getting a bit neglected with all of the amazing Poppies, Purses and Parisian Suites in our Mini. Good Morning Magnolia is hands down one of my most favorite suites EVER. So when I was trying to whip something last night (after refereeing children, the horse shoer showing up and needing to run to the store when Troy got home from work FINALLY, my day was shot), I stumbled on this partially colored Memories & More card and had my AHA!! moment.

So, the card started with a Memories & More card from the Magnolia Lane pack. This was colored with Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends Combo Packs. I knew that I wanted to layer this onto the coordinating Memories & More Large Specialty Cards. A nice piece of the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper was a nice touch, I could have put a bit of mat behind it for more of a pop. I have stamped the sentiment using Early Espresso ink with the decorative border stamped in Petal Pink. The die cut is NOT in the suite... I know I am a rebel, but it worked out well with what I was creating, it is from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The small magnolia colored to coordinate with the background was the perfect touch. This is all adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals over a piece of the Striped Organza Petal Pink Ribbon.

Creation Station Girl Power Blog Hop

Happy Sunday! Can you believe we are already in November?? I can not! The family and I loaded up and went to Sterling yesterday. It is about a 90 mile drive and it was time for us to make a Walmart run. We met up with some friends for lunch before filling two carts. Stocked up on things on I knew were less expensive. I don't miss Walmart but yesterday was a much needed day away.

This month the Creation Station team is designing with the theme "Girl Power". My time management skills have not been great between getting ready for OnStage and a craft fair the week before. After getting home from Walmart, getting everything put away and making a meal for a friend who just got home from the hospital, I wasn't sure if I could come up with anything... So my design today is simple yet chic!

We all know that I can't get enough of feathers! I chose the sheet of Designer Series Paper from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. I chose to make a nice little purse (What girl doesn't love a good purse) and a nice and easy card.

The card started with a base of Petal Pink with an earthy mat of Soft Suede that was perfect for the feather pattern. I have stamped the sentiment "You've Got This, Girl" in Coastal Cabana for a bit of a pop. It is die cut with the Stitched Nested Label Dies and accented with some fussy cut feathers towards the bottom. A nice double strand Linen Thread bow was just the right touch.

The cute little purse is made from a 6 x 6 of DSP. The closure is made with piece of Petal Pink card stock and a bronze colored Designer Element. The handles are made with Soft Suede card stock to coordinate perfectly with card! You can fill this cute little purse with a small gift or treat!

I am so happy you came by today! I can't wait for you to see what the AMAZING Jeanna Bohanon has created for you today, just click the next button below to get to her blog! Have a fabulous Sunday!

Creation Station Stampers Gone Wild Blog Hop

Happy Sunday! Hope that you all are having a lovely weekend. The family and I ran out to watch the swine show yesterday at the county fair. It was really neat to watch these kids with their pigs and the judge taking his time to explain some of his reasoning for his placements. We were there for 5 hours!!! It was a long night!

The Creation Station team is back with a "Stampers Gone Wild" blog hop theme. We are creating cards with animals for you. It would have been easy for me to reach for the Let It Ride or Over The Moon stamp sets, but I wanted to challenge myself a bit and decided to be a little less predictable and use the Rustic Retreat stamp set.

This card started several different ways... but lets talk about the way it ended up! I chose to use the Rustic Retreat stamp set. I have taken the tree line stamp in this set with Mossy Meadow ink to create a border. This is a nice piece of Very Vanilla as is the Gold Heat Embossed deer. I added a touch of the pine on the top left with Mossy Meadow as well. The sentiment is stamped using Crumb Cake ink on Sahara Sand, then fussy cut to adhere to the stitched square with the deer. The Sahara Sand Pinewood Planks was great touch to for this masculine themed card!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Next on the hop is Jeanna and I am sure you are going to love what she has created for you! Just click the next button below!
