OSAT Just Blend It Hand Penned Blog Hop

Happy Thursday to you all! I am glad to be back in my groove of stamping and crafting! Mother Nature has not been on our side when it comes to life and chores outside... the wind has been HORRIBLE! It doesn't make feeding the pigs or watching baseball any fun. I am ready for it to stop! Today I have Taryn's partner in crime Maddy coming over to start her scrapbooking projects for fair!!
This month myself and my friends on the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop Team are hopping with the theme "Just Blend It". There are so many ways that you can blend! Blending Brushes, daubers, sponges, even our Stampin' Blends, just to rattle off a few. The possibilities are endless. Let me show you what I have created for you today!

My projects today feature the Hand Penned Petals Bundle (which will return in our new catalog), the retiring Pansy Petals DSP and the Heart & Home DSP that is in our Jan-Jun Mini Catalog. I am so happy that our Hand Penned Petals Bundle will carry over, I feel like I am just starting to use it and love it. My Blending technique can be found on the flower. I chose to use our Stampin' Blends to color the beautiful flower.

This card started with the colored flower from the Hand Penned Petals Bundle. I have quite a few of these colored in my stash as I was planning on using them for a swap. The flower is colored using our Stampin' Blends in Soft Seafoam, Petal Pink and Pale Papaya. I use the large flower stamp in the same  set to create a background on the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch of Basic White with Petal Pink ink. The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This sits on a scalloped die cut from the Scalloped Contour Dies of the Pansy Petals DSP and is accented with a bit of Linen Thread. To continue the fresh spring farmhouse look, I have layered this onto a piece of the Heart & Home DSP, a mat of Smoky Slate and card base of Soft Succulent was the perfect touch for this card.

This fun tag is actually a wood tag! I have painted the tag a dark gray with craft paint and used Mod Podge to add the DSP to the tag. I took a risk when I decided to heat emboss the large flower from the Hand Penned Petals. Again, I added the same flower that has been colored with Stampin' Blends to the fun little tag. A bit of ribbon and Elegant Faceted Gems were just the right touch!

I am so glad that you stopped by to see what I have created today! You can get even MORE blending ideas touring through the WHOLE hop by clicking through the link list below!

Have an amazing day!

OSAT Hand Penned Blooms Blog Hop

Happy Thursday!!!! We have about 6" of snow outside and the kids have a snow day today and no school tomorrow so our spring break has officially started! There will be lots of hot chocolate and sledding today... I am so excited because we really haven't had enough snow to even sled on... After this melts I will be ready for spring and the warmth! Especially when we have pigs coming next week!
This month the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop Team is hopping with the theme of "Blooms". With Troy still recovering from surgery and having physical therapy appointments, it has been a struggle to get into the craft room! Last weekend I had the amazing opportunity to do a virtual presentation at a virtual retreat hosted by my good friend Amy Combs. When I started creating for her presentation I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and remembered my card from last months blog hop... except most of the products are now retired. So I had to find a way to make it with products available now and I chose to use the Hand Penned Suite. The card is a bit a different, but will look a little familiar! Lets take a look!

Pick Your Favorite DSP 7/8”x 3” 10-12 strips. You’ll want 3 or 4 patterns!
Layer 1-7 3/4”x 3 1/4”
Basic White Layer (you can use another color if you prefer) 7 1/2” x 3”
Card Base 7”x 8” scored on the short side at 3-1/2”

My card here features a Blushing Bride card base with a Pool Party mat. The Basic White layer acts as a base for my strips of Hand Penned DSP. I have about 3/4" strip of Blushing Bride that I have using the cute little stitched scallop border die from the Hand Penned Bundle on. The Basic White die cut is also from the Hand Penned bundle and is layered onto the strip with a small bit of Stampin' Seal. Once I had this complete I decided to stamp the large flower from the bundle onto a scrap of Pool Party and die cut with one the smallest Tailor Made Tags dies. I used the same die on my Blushing Bride stamped sentiment on Basic White. After carefully layering them over each other, I tied a nice Basic White Bakers Twine bow and accented it with a few Elegant Faceted Gems!

I can't wait for you to see the many other blooms on the hop today! You can click through the list below to get your floral inspirations!

Creation Station Texture Blog Hop

Happy 4th of July! Today is going to be a day full of laughter, friends both new and old and food! I spent most of yesterday making up things for a feast tonight. We are doing burgers, brats and Hot Dogs with the potato salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs and I whipped a 7-Layer dip. I am sure there is more food coming but I don't know what everyone else is bringing! Wesley and I went to the firework stand to get some fireworks to light at home. Lets hope that Mother Nature cooperates!

It has been a while since I hopped with the Creation Station team! If you have read my blog over the last few weeks, I have a good excuse. Although this months theme of "Texture", I couldn't wait to hop along! Today I have created this cheerful "Feel Better Soon" card with the What A Year Memories & More Card Pack and the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set. Lets take a look!

This little cutie started with the What A Year Memories & More Card Pack. My goal when I started to brain storm was to not use the Pattern Party or the In Good Taste paper packs. As those seem to be my go to lately. I rummaged the pack of cards and settled on the Polished Pink plaid like card and the lined card with the flowers. I cut the plaid down to a 3.75" x 5" card front. To add a bit of visual texture I used the Stitched with Whimsy dies. On the smaller card, I simply rounded the corners with our Detailed Trio Punch and added a hole for the ribbons. The plaid was then adhered with Stampin' Seal to a Pool Party Cardstock Mat. The tag was accented with the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon and Bumblebee Gingham. A bit of Basic White Bakers Twine was tied around it. My Label Me Lovely Punch of Polished Pink was embossed with one of the Greenery Embossing Folders. The cute little striped strip was also from one of the smaller cards in the Memories and More pack. I cut it into about a 1/2" strip. The heat embossed sentiment from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set in white was perfect for my Bumblebee die cut from the Tasteful Labels Dies!

I have adhered the Bumblebee circle to the strip with a bit of Stampin' Seal before adding the twine and adhering it to the Label Me Lovely Punch with Stampin' Dimensionals. The finishing touch for this adorable card was the Playing With Pattern Resin Dots mixed with a couple Basic Rhinestones!

I am so glad that you stopped by today! I can't wait for you to see what my amazingly talented best friend Jeanna has created for you! You can get to her by clicking the next button below! Have an amazing Sunday!
