Stampin Friends Animal Lovers Blog Hop

Kirsteen Gill
We also have some amazing guest hoppers this month. Be sure to check out there projects as well!

This months hop is a fun Animal Lover theme! You would think that with my menagerie (3 Horses, a dog and whatever wild critter that decides to hang out here) that I would have been bubbling over with ideas... Well, not so much. I think what I came up with is really fun! I can't wait to share it with you!

I just love the colors in this stack of It's My Party DSP!! So the funny thing is that I whipped out this cute little Fridge Magnet To Do List in about 20 minutes! The card was a little harder knowing I needed to incorporate an animal! I knew Zoo Babies would be fun to use so I started with the colors from the It's My Party and the Melon Mambo Lion won!

My super fun card started with a great base of Basic Black Cardstock. With a quick layer of Melon Mambo. I did one more layer using DSP.  Next I cut a thin strip of the star pattern so that my card coordinated with my project! I did a narrow Basic Black strip with some twisted up Melon Mambo/Black Twine. I punched the Melon Mambo lion from Zoo Babies out using a 1 3/8 inch circle punch and layered it on to the 1 3/4 Scallop Circle then adhered it to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then used various sizes of circle punches to make my fun little circles with fun little coordinating enamel dots! I didn't want this to be a "Baby" card... I still hadn't used my Party Pants set from Sale-A-Bration and thought that sentiment was absolutely adorable!

I know, I know!! Adorable right? The To Do List pad was a whopping 50 cents!!! So I bought a few thinking MAAAAYYYYBEEE I can figure out something to do with them! Well, I did something and I think this turned out totally cute! I used the backing page from our DSP as my base. I cut it 5.5 inches by 9.5 inches. I cut my Basic Black Cardstock to cover in the same size and used liquid multipurpose glue to adhere it so that it was more sturdy. I then did a matted layer of the Its My Party DSP and like the card did a strip on the right with a quick little twine bow! BOOM! Done!

I can't thank you all enough for stopping by!

Don't forget to comment #SFAprHop on each stop of the hop! If you tour the whole hop you have 15 chances of winning a great giveaway!!

Next is Melanie Coverston and I can't wait to see what delightful creations she has for us!

OSAT Tic Tac Toe Blog Hop

Guess what day it is?? It is the second Thursday of the month and we should all know what that means... OSAT Blog Hop time! Huge shout out to all of my Stampin' Up! Friends at OnStage! I am kind of jealous! Everyone's taxes done? If not, you better get on that! Did you get to me by way of Renee Ondrajka, welcome!!

This month we decided to play a friendly game of Tic Tac Toe! What better a game to play with all my stamping friends??

My three in a row is accomplished Lace, Glitter Pen and Ribbon! I killed two birds with one stone using lace ribbon!

Isn't this fabulous?? It started with base of Mint Macaron and quickly came together with a Watermelon Wonder matte. The lovely DSP is from our 6 x 6 stack Pretty Petals! I just love the color combos on this stack so I hope it gets to stick around! The Wood Tag... I know I find all the good stuff!! I stumbled on these on Zulily! There are so cool and cute! I stamped on this using our Basic Black Archival ink, brushed Clear Wink of Stella and simply tied a big bow in the Mint Macaron Lace Ribbon! I adhered this with some Foam Mounting tape because I wasn't sure the Dimensionals were strong enough for the wood! My cute flowers I stamped in Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder and Basic Black! The It's My Party enamel dots made great flower centers! To top this pretty little thing off I added some lovely Pretty Pink Posh Sequins in Sparkly Clear and Onyx!

Here is a closer look at the clear Wink of Stella on the black!!!

My husband would probably tell you that I am hoarder! But this awesome little 7 Gypsies tray has been hanging out in my craft stash for over a year! I have cupboard full of things to do for gifts or craft fairs. When I opened it looking for something to do as my project this month, this spoke to me!

I used coordinating paper from the Pretty Petals DSP stack! I simply trimmed them all to fit in each little nook and adhered the paper using Liquid Multipurpose Glue! I used our Butterfly Thinlits to cut out my butterfly and adhered it to velum using spray adhesive! Once I adhered it I fussy cut the velum, added Clear Wink of Stella and popped on a cute in-color flower to coordinate with my "love"sentiment that is also Watermelon Wonder!

Thank You so much for taking a look! Make sure you click next to tour the whole hop! I am sure my crazy cave dwelling crafty cohort Dena Rekow has created something oh so lovely!!

Stamp Ink Paper 42 Color Challenge Enjoy The Little Things

Happy Tuesday and Birthday to my middle son Joshua who turns 8 today!! We are having a birthday celebration at school today and I can't wait to take him his birthday cookies!

This week we have a really amazing color challenge. I know that I have used the colors before but never have I used them all together!  I can't wait to show you what I inked up!

My card started with a bright base of Bermuda Bay with a subtle matte of Soft Sky. My stamped layer was created using the Timeless Textures stamp set. I started with Soft Sky ink first, then stamped the next layer with Bermuda Bay and final layer was using the Night of Navy ink. My lovely circles were cut using Gina Marie Designs Stitched Circle Dies! On the Whisper White stitched circle I stamped the sentiment from the Enjoy The Little Things Photopolymer set! I made a few metallic silver thread loops behind the circles with some lovely little sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and this little lovely was done!
Hope you all have a fabulous day!

Stamp Ink Paper 40 Lisa's Tic Tac Toe

Its it is a beautiful Tuesday! I am a year older as of yesterday! Thank You to all my friends who wished me a happy birthday!

This week we have a fabulous Tic Tac Toe Challenge that was created by our design team member Lisa Altman! I really had to work at making my three in a row!
My 3 in a row is Get Well, SiIver and Ribbon or Twine!

My card started with a base of Bermuda Bay Card stock the next two layers are actually from the same sheet of 12 x 12 Shine on Specialty DSP! I layered these cuties up and did a quick strip of the Metallic Glitter Tape that you can earn FREE with a $50 Stampin' Up! purchase! I got these REALLY adorable Coffee dies by Sugar Pea Designs! I made a quick little coffee cup and stamped "Feel Better" from our Sassy Salutations stamp set. The lid is also made using the tape! I did some quick metallic thread loops behind the cup, used some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and BAM! Done!

Can't wait to see how you make your three in a row! Have a fabulous day!

OSAT Spring Has Sprung Blog Hop!

It is the second Thursday of the month!!! We all know what that means! OSAT Blog Hop time!!
I am so excited to have a Christine Pennington this month as a guest hopper! Make sure you stop by her blog and say hello!
This month's theme is Spring has Sprung! We have had some amazing Spring like weather here on the eastern plains of Colorado! I really think the kids love it too because they are able to go outside and play!
I promised you all yesterday that today's card would NOT be a shaker! I have to tell you though, I have had this card done for two weeks... Do you know how hard it was to keep this beauty a secret?? I actually was on FaceTime with Dena when I was cooking this one up! Glad I had her as go too!  She is pretty amazing! Now lets get to the details...

SEE!! It isn't a shaker card! This is a Double Gate Fold!
There is a really amazing tutorial for the double gate fold card on Split Coast Stampers...
I used the lovely Wildflower Fields DSP from the Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration catalog with a coordinating belly band to keep the card closed. This card is different than a lot because the base is actually paper instead of card stock. The band was made using a strip of the coordinating DSP! I used the Fun Frames embossing folder on Lost Lagoon card stock and then fussy cut it using my Paper Snips! My next little layer I made using Old Olive card stock. I simply punched out the banner twice and set them aside while I worked out the label! I chose to use the Choose Happiness stamp! I used the Stampin' Write markers in Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive to create this lovely Bracket Label! Once I had my Dimensionals ready, I did some quick Gold Metallic thread loops to add some sparkle! This band just slides right off... The inside layer was made with matte of Lost Lagoon card stock. I stamped the branches from the Choose Happiness stamp set in Old Olive ink. The adorable little bird was made using Lost Lagoon ink and used my paper snips to fussy cut him out so that he can sit upon the branch at the bottom! Blackberry Bliss sentiment was the perfect touch!

Now this little mini can be made in MANY ways! You can find templates and tutorials on Pinterest!
I wanted it to to coordinate with my card so of course I used the same DSP as the card! You can embellish these or do stamped layers! I even created a couple pockets!

Thank You all so much for stopping by! Next is Lori! I can't wait for you to see the lovely spring creations she made up for you! Have a great day!

Grateful Blooms

Happy Wednesday! I am making up for my slacking behavior last week!
Taryn is on the mend and it appears to me that our horse is too! I have to be honest I had made this for a hop and decided with everything that went on last week that I couldn't participate!
I put this really amazing shaker card together and I can't not share it!? I know yesterday's card was a shaker as well... But the bug has bit me! Now I know why everyone loves them!
Lets get to the card!!

I recently purchased My Minds Eye On Trend 2 Paper Collection! I just love the colors in these paper but somehow wanted to interpret it in my own Shaker Card Stampin' Up! way! My fabulous card started with a base of Night of Navy! I used the Gold Fancy Vellum stripe for my layer! The shaker back ground is our sadly retired Brushed Gold Card Stock. I mounted this with two layers of foam tape behind my acetate panel! When cutting out the flowers I actually cut out a bunch in different colors... But the Melon Mambo seemed to be the one I zero'd in on with it's lovely Garden Green greenery from the Botanical Builders framelit set! I came up with my own mix of sequins using two mixes from Pretty Pink Posh, Seed Beads and the Stampin Up ones from the Love Blossoms embellishment kit! The "Grateful" sentiment came from the Seasonal Framelits. This was die cut out of the Brushed Gold card stock to coordinate with back ground of the shaker window!
So glad you all stopped by! I promise, tomorrow's card is NOT a shaker!
Have a Great Day!

Stampin' Friends Black, White and Whatever You Like Blog Hop

Hey there! Welcome to February's Stampin' Friends Blog Hop! I just loved Sarah's projects this month! if you didn't come from Sarah's site you can get there by clicking the previous button below!
Make sure you give our lovely guest hoppers a look-see as well!

Angela Carter (She is next on the hop)

Sarah Devendorf
This month our theme is Black, White and Whatever you like! Who doesn't like black and white with a splash of fun!? I really wrestled with my concept on this hop! OF COURSE I AM GOING TO USE BLUSHING BRIDE! No matter how hard I tried not to it just kept coming together in my head that way! In my mind I was thinking "Sweet 16".  So here we go Black, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride with a Splash of Gold!

This great card started with a base of Blushing Bride. I then matted the Typeset Specialty DSP at 1/8" matte instead of the standard 1/4".  I made a Gold Foil Banner using our Banner Framelits and Gold Foil Paper. Next I used our Basic Black card stock with the Lots of Labels Framelits. You can see that I sprayed some Gold Heidi Swapp shimmer mist on this. The gold foil doily is from the Love Blooms embellishment kit. I created the sentiment banners using Very Vanilla card stock with the Number of Years Bundle. They were stamped with the Archival Basic Black ink, then the sentiments were heat embossed using the Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. I adhered these to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Of course I had to use the Blushing Bride Glimmer paper for this fabulous card. So I decided to use the Large Number Framelits to cut the "16" out! I then used a combination of the Hello December and the Love Blossoms embellishment kit Sequin mixes!! To top this card off I also used the Blushing Bride satin ribbon in a cute square knot at the bottom!
Now for the purse...

I can't take credit for the tutorial for this purse! I actually stumbled on this Pin on Pinterest! I honestly don't know why I hadn't tried one before. It has a lot of room inside! You can find the tutorial on Papercraft Button! I used a sheet of 12 x 12 Blushing Bride Card Stock. I then used the coordinating DSP from Typeset so that my "purse" would coordinate with my card! The Gold Metallic Washi just became available as a FREE Sale-A-Bration item! All you have to do is spend $50! This stuff is so easy to work with! I even made the rosette with it just by pleating it onto a circle punch! I finished this with BIG bling brad from Michaels that I had in my stash!

PHEW!!! Done! I can't wait for you to see what Angela has made for you all!
Don't forget to comment on all the blogs of the hop with #SFFebHop for your chance to win a great giveaway from ALL of us hoppers!

OSAT Blog Hoppers Love is in the Air

Welcome to the February One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! Phew!!! Another weekend on its way!!
If you got to me by way of Justin Krieger, I am so happy to have you here! I just loved Justin's creations this month! The Heart Shaker was definitely my favorite... I hope I am his Valentine..
.
This month our theme is "Love is in the Air".  I can't wait for you to tour the whole hop to see what all my crafty friends have in store for you! We have a few new hoppers so make sure you tour the whole hop to see what we have all created!

I was so excited to ink the new photopolymer set Grateful Bunch! To be honest, I just wanted the set for the lace border stamp but when I got it, I LOVED IT! Plus it has a coordinating punch!! Who can turn down a bundle?! Not this girl!
I inked up the border stamp in Sahara Sand and created the lace border pattern on the bottom of the Very Vanilla card stock.  The lovely dotty leaf pattern is also from the same set. These are stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink. The cute little flowers were stamped with Blushing Bride ink. The stamp actually has all 3 flowers on it! I layered two of them up with Glue Dots and curled up the edges with my scoring tool. The center one I actually used Dimensionals between the layers to give it a little more depth. The centers of the flowers are the lovely little dots from the Love Blossoms Embellishment kit. I just couldn't resist the butterfly in this set! Yes, I wish it was a just a little bit bigger. Mint Macaron seemed to be the best color for this stamp onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I fussy cut it with a fabulous Paper Snips then shaped the wings a little with my bone folder. Like the lace at the bottom, I stamped the sentiment in Sahara Sand. The Blushing Bride cotton ribbon and Venetian Crochet Trim seemed to be just the right touch!. I matted this with Blushing Bride cardstock and adhered it to a Mint Macaron base.

My tea bag holder I actually found on Pinterest. You can thank Vicki for the tutorial!Vicki Collins Mini Tea Bag Caddy Tutorial. I simply used Sahara Sand for my base with the Timeless Elegance DSP. The Blushing Bride satin ribbon is from the Love Blossoms Embellishment kit. I tied a simple bow around the box and the used it to make the handle at top with the crochet trim.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Next is the talented Marisa Gunn! I am so excited for you to see her creations this month! She was so excited about the theme that she did it a month early LOL!!

Stamp Ink Paper 33 Red Black and Gold

Hey there!! It has been a blustery beginning to my week! Snow sideways most of my Monday!
With it being Tuesday we all know what that means.... Stamp Ink Paper!

I am sure that we are all in full blown Valentine making mode! Me?! I honestly am trying to put my best foot forward! Hearts are probably my least favorite shape LOL! Not something I own a lot of... Thankfully we have a beautiful color challenge for you! I can't wait to show you what I have made!

Wow!!! At least that is what I think when I made this card. It is VERY dramatic for me! The colors lend themselves to a dramatic card.
The card base is Very Vanilla Card Stock with a simple matte of the stripe from the Timeless Elegance DSP. You will notice a nice gold foil banner off to the left there. I will be honest last spring I was in love with the Artisan Embellishment kits laser cut rose panel. I stumbled on a die that cut the same pattern! So I simply cut this out of Real Red card stock heat embossed it with clear Stampin' Emboss powder. I adhered this with the two way glue pen onto a Basic Black background and then glued this over the gold foil banner.... Now I will be honest, this is where things got a little tricky! I wanted to use my "Love" from my retired Expressions Thinlits. Apparently it is MIA in my craft room... I used the lovely Die and Banner Stamp from the Number of Years Bundle. I stamped the banner with the Basic Black Archival Ink and then use Gold Stampin' Emboss powder for the Heat Embossed "Love You" from the Bloomin' Love set. The Champagne Rose from the Rose Garden dies and Hello December Sequins gave this card just the right amount of class it needed!

Thank you so much for stopping in!
Have a great day!

Stamp Ink Paper 31 Birthday Challenge

Well we made it through Monday!! The kids and I are all sharing a cold it seems! After all sharing is caring! Am I the only one with Christmas stuff still up? Justin thought I was crazy when I told I waited until Super Bowl Sunday to take it down... THAT is why I have an artificial tree! In all honesty it may be down this weekend...

This weeks theme for Stamp, Ink, Paper is great! It is a Birthday themed card and who doesn't need a good birthday themed card! Our design team came up with some real cuties! Make sure you click on the picture below to get all the challenge details. I can't wait to show you mine!

Of course when I knew that Birthday was the theme I knew I wanted to use my It's My Party DSP! Once I picked the star pattern I took off running! The card base is made using Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo card stock with a Basic Black matte. The tag is something I had in my stash... The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company. It is called "Damn You're Old"!! Now you can stop laughing! There are those friends and or relatives that deserve a card like this! If you know me.... I am one of those friends! I stamped this in our Basic Black Archival Ink and colored it in with our Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Daffodil Delight markers. I even used a little Gold Wink Of Stella on the flames! I die cut the cake and the black circle behind it using the Circle Framelits. The sentiment was stamped using Versamark ink with the White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I actually made this little banner myself using the Banner Triple punch and a Fiskars Spring Hammer Punch. I tied this to the tag with Mint Macaron and Black Bakers twine and adhered it with a Stampin' Dimensional. I also adhered the circles with Dimensionals. Now what is a Birthday with out a little confetti?! Well my enamel dots are my "confetti" and finished off this card just right!

I hope you love my cake!
Happy Birthday Card Making!!

Big News Baby!

Happy Monday! How about them Bronco's? They totally eeked one out!
The kids are off school today and I am going to be a busy bee in my craft room until hair appointment time!
As many of you know I am a very active in the kids school and serve on our accountability committee. Recently one of our other committee members had a baby girl and I of course was asked to make a card for this amazing event!
The sketch for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches was the perfect layout!

Click Here for Full Challenge Details

Obviously It is a girl! What girl doesn't like pink?
The card base starts off with a lovely base of Blushing Bride! I think that this years Occasions Catalog caters to my fond addiction to this color. I then used some of the Birthday Bouquet DSP that I hadn't used yet! I took a quick little layer of Blushing Bride to matte my Whisper White. I stamped the the sentiment from the set "Big News" in Blushing Bride ink on to the Whisper White. To achieve the shape on the top right I wrapped some linen thread across the top with a linen thread bow! I added a cute little flower from our retired Artisan Embellishment Kit! Freshly made and rusticly cute!

Thanks for taking a look today! Have a great week!

OSAT Blog Hoppers No Rules New Year

Happy Belated New Year!! Welcome to the 2016 One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! Melissa's  creations always amazes me!! It really helps that our hop theme is "No Rules New Year"

If it is your first time touring our hop let me give you a little bit of background! One Stamp At A Time is group of over 3000 SUPER FABULOUS card making friends on Facebook. Well we decided to get a group of our Super Fabulous Members and create a blog hop for you to enjoy!

This year we have some AMAZINGLY talented people and I am so happy that they said YES! So be sure to to tour the WHOLE hop and show all my creative friends some love!

With absolutely NO RULES I really start to overthink things! I mean I am usually a shabby chic, barbwire and lace kind of girl! Well, this is anything but that! I'll give you the details below...

So I did things a little bit backwards this go round. I made my project first. Last year for my birthday I bought myself the Pillow Box Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers. I made this little cutie using a 6 x 6 sheet from the Go Wild DSP Stack! Seriously thinking to myself "Andrea?! Why haven't you used this sooner??" I then wrapped a 1 1/4" strip of of coordinating DSP as a band. I then took my 1" Stitched Satin Watermelon Wonder and ran in lengthwise to tie a cute little bow... No Joke 10 minutes on this cutie and I think they would make fab little favors.

Now of course the card HAD to coordinate! I am a matchy, matchy kind of girl. This card starts with a simple base of Basic Black card stock. For my next layer I used Watermelon Wonder card stock. Again, the DSP is from the Go Wild DSP stack. Of course I stuck with the animal print theme. I also took a 1 1/4" strip the width of the card. The Watermelon Wonder ribbon wraps around the card stock and the matte. I then used my tape runner and adhered this to the card base. I have really enjoyed our set Friendly Wishes which obviously my sentiment came from! My Versamark got to come out to play along with my White Stampin' Emboss powder and of course my Heat Tool! Once this was all done I took it to the Big Shot with my Chalk Talk Framelits. Now that this was cut out I adhered it to my card with Stampin' Dimensionals and what tag isn't complete without a bow?! So of course I used the 1" Watermelon Wonder one last time! The Sequins are a mix of Stampin' Up and Pretty Pink Posh Strawberry Burst and the Fine Tip Glue Pen is the best with these.... PHEW!!!!

I want to thank you so much for stopping by! Now for a trip down under to Bruno Bertucci! You can get there by clicking the button below! I am sure he is going to have a lovely creation!
