Creation Station Happy New To You Blog Hop

Happy Sunday! Creation Station is bringing in the New Year with a New To You Blog Hop! This is sure to be an amazing hop as our Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalog is live! I can't wait for you to see what my amazing Creation Station friends have whipped up for you this month!!

I really can't get enough of the Amazing Life Bundle, if you follow me you will know that I used this fun bundle for a post on Friday. I decided to pair it up today with the Piece of Cake Bundle! Let me show you what I have created for you today!

Who doesn't love cake?! Okay maybe me, I mean I will eat cake but it really isn't something I can't live without! Growing up my mom often made me a giant pizza size chocolate chip cookie for my birthday. Enough about me lets talk about the card.

I have been using my Stamparatus A LOT lately!! This card was the perfect opportunity to show you that you can do the fun "Hinge Step" Technique with the "Yay!" stamp in the Amazing Life stamp set.  You can see a great video of how to do this technique below.

Once I achieved my desired pattern with my Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I then colored them with Stampin' Blends. The colors I chose were Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Highland Heather. You will see that I also colored the cake from the Piece of Cake stamp set the same colors so that it would coordinate. The cake stand also from the Piece of Cake Bundle, was stamped with Smoky Slate ink and then I snagged my light Smoky Slate marker to color it in. The punch for this bundle will punch the stand and the cake but for this project I just wanted the cake to pop! With my oh so colorful "Life's Too Short To Not Eat the Cake" sentiment, I used a nice stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits to pop this sentiment and the cake. For a nice embellished finished I have used the stars from the Best Route Enamel Shapes and the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you love my creation, My friend and Artisan Design Team member Mikayla Titheridge is next on the hop! You can get to her by clicking the next button below!
I have provided a full list of the products used on my project today below to help make your shopping easier! Hope the rest of your weekend is amazing!

Stamp Ink Paper 144 It is a Birthday Theme

Tuesday, Oh Tuesday is blowing right in!!! I am back with the Stamp Ink Paper Design Team and we are creating this week with a Birthday Theme!!

We had a nice little Easter Weekend. I, however am fighting allergies and the side effects of them. Joshua, my middle kid, turns 10 on Thursday! Time is just flying by. This is his last 8 weeks of elementary school. Next year he heads off to the middle school.

It is kind of funny, I went to my craft room with an upcoming challenge in my head when I made this card... Luckily, Murphy and his law were on my side when I made this a Birthday Card!!

As I said above, this was not the challenge in my head that I was creating for. I started with an ombre like sponged circle using my Sponge Daubers with Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo inks. I then used the Pattern Party Decorative Masks with Shimmer White Embossing Paste to create some texture to the card. I adhere the Magic Myths Starburst Punched Glimmer Paper with Mini Glue dots. My fun little cake was created using the Celebration Time Bundle. A nice Stampin' Emboss White embossed sentiment on the Basic Black was just the ticket. I added a nice little flower at the top also using the Magic Myths Glimmer Paper Pack. A nice bow of Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon and some Silver Metallic Thread made this card pop! I snagged a few sequins from the Metallic and Iridescent mix and my card front was finished! Last but certainly not least I matted this on to a Bermuda Bay matte wonky style and then added this to a crisp base of Basic Black!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you create with our Birthday Theme!

If you like what you see, I have provided a full product list below!
Happy Tuesday!

Stamp Ink Paper 142 Color Challenge

Happy Tuesday! Stamp Ink Paper is back this week with a bright and fun color challenge for you!
Did you survive the weekend?? We had a long weekend down in the southeastern corner of Colorado filled with movies, a rowdy game of Clue and a great time at Parrot Cove indoor waterpark in Garden City (that is in Kansas). Kids didn't want to go back to school after being off for a week, personally I am kind of ready for them to be home again.

I love our colors for this weeks challenge. You can really do a lot with Gray, Aqua and Lime. Let me show you my card!

My card started with a card base from the Sale A Bration Tutti Frutti Card Bases and Envelopes. I matted a piece of Basic Gray in a not so straight manner. I wasn't sure exactly at this point what my plan was, but after digging through my DSP stash I found this fun star patterned piece from the Bubble and Fizz also in the Sale A Bration catalog. This was adhered the opposite direction of the Basic Gray. I took my snips after stamping the sentiment from Birthday Wit in Smoky Slate and Lemon Lime Twist and cut the words out. Using the Star from the Mini Treat Bag Framelits, I cut three Magic Myths Glimmer Paper Stars and adhered them with Glue Dots on the card. Next I adhered the sentiment with the Mini Dimensionals. To finish this card off I added just a few of the Self Adhesive Sequins.

Thank You soooo much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you create with these fun colors!
