TGIF 210 Color Challenge Southern Living

Happy Friday! We have made it through the week! Well almost, I mean I would like to think that I conquered my busiest day of the week yesterday... But looking at what is on my plate for tomorrow... It may be the winner... Band, Prom Makeup, Dance Recital... That about sums it up!

Today I am back with the TGIF Design Team creating with an amazing color challenge! It seems like lately I can not put the Petal Pink away!!! It just ends up on EVERY card I make. If you didn't know, the Subtles are my FAVORITE!

While I know that on Wednesday I gave a sneak peek of the upcoming Good Morning Magnolia Bundle, today I am creating with a couple stamp sets that will not be returning. Lets take a look at my card!

I remember seeing the Southern Serenade stamp set for the first time. My most favorite stamp in this set is the distressed lace like stamp. I have taken it along the edges of my Whisper White with Petal Pink ink. To give it a bit of a dirty distressed look I have sponged Crumb Cake as well. Once that was done, the small lace like border was stamped in Pool Party on the bottom left. This was set aside while I colored up my Crumb Cakes boots from the Country Livin' stamp set. This is another great set that will not be coming back in the new catalog. I chose to use the Blender Pens to color up these beauties in the most imperfect way and added a bit a Pool Party shadow. The cute little flower, also from the Southern Serenade was fussy cut with Paper Snips and adhered to my boots with a Mini Glue Dot! A nice little Faceted Dot was perfect for the center. The Stitched Square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits was perfect layered onto the Gold Glimmer Paper. To keep with my shabby chic card I have added a nice banner of Wood Textures DSP with a lovely piece of the Scallop Lace Trim that will debut in June in the NEW Annual Catalog!

I am so glad you stopped by today to check out my card for the TGIF Color challenge! I can't wait to see what you create with these colors!

I have provided a full product list below of everything I used on the card today!

Have a GREAT Weekend!

Creation Station In All Things Give Thanks Blog Hop

Okay, okay! I know I have a bit MIA but I am a master procrastinator when it comes to swaps for OnStage!!! If you throw all the variables life has thrown at me this last month I think that my piss poor time management skills are some what justified!

This month with the Creation Station Design Team we are hopping with the theme In All Things Give Thanks. I couldn't be more thankful for all of my family and friends... So I have designed a card that is rather simple for you today!

I have a nice card base of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock with a matte of Petal Pink. I embossed my Gray Granite Layer with the Layered Leaves embossing folder and sponged with the Champagne Mist shimmer paint! The stitched oval was stamped with the lace like stamp with Petal Pink and the sentiment with Rich Razzleberry. A nice polka dot tulle bow and a few basic adhesive back sequins and this card was done!

National Craft Month Blog Hop

It is a double hitter kind of day for me! I am back for my second post of the day! Man the wind is whipping!!! We are on a High Wind Watch through tomorrow afternoon and it really came out of no where, even though we knew it was coming...

This evening I hopping with my Stampin' Up! friends from all over the world to celebrate National Craft Month. I honestly celebrate this all year long and I am sure that man of you do too!

I have had this card made for a bit now. I honestly made it on a day where I didn't have any immediate pending deadlines... well that is because I am a professional procraftinator! Let us take a look at what I have whipped up for you!

Are you blinded by the Copper Foil and Copper Heat embossing on this card? This card is amazing in person. The heat embossed copper lace from Southern Serenade on the white washed Wood Texture DSP is just divine and was the perfect setting for my Beautiful Bouquet made of Wild Wasabi stems and Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Powder Pink flowers. This was accented with Copper Foil flowers and Soft Suede flower centers. The Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder was so cool to use by inking it with Sahara Sand ink before running it through the Big Shot to give it a nice distressed look and then die cut using an Oval from the Stitched Shapes and adhered it to a nice Vellum scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals die set.  My Stampin' Blends colored boots from Country Livin give the appearance that the boots are holding the bouquet. A nice simple bow of Linen Thread holds onto my Crumb Cake sentiment that is from the Wood Words stamp set. I made this cute banner with the Classic Label Punch.

Thank you so much for stopping in tonight!! I can't wait for you all to see the amazing talent on this hop! Happy Hopping!

Paper Craft Crew 272 Wine and Lace Sketch

Happy Wednesday! I am back with the Paper Craft Crew today with a fun little sketch! Are you over Christmas cards yet? Well, I am getting that way and I am sure many of you are too! I mean, I am not even sure I want to put all my decorations out this year! It isn't because I am Scrooge or Bah Humbug, I am just not feeling it this year.

Enough of that!!! Lets get to the fun stuff! Paper Craft Crew has a fun sketch for us all to play along with! You can get all the details by clicking the graphic below.

While attending OnStage in November, a stamp set called Southern Serenade was presented to us. This stamp set should not be passed up in the 2018 Occasions Catalog!! One of the ways it was used for us to see was taking the lovely lace stamp in this set and stamping it onto the Wood Textures DSP. I squealed like a little girl because it was right up alley! It will be available to you January 3rd! Now let me get you the details of my card...

I have given two different views of the same card so that you can see all the details. You will notice the lace stamp I referred to above stamped using Crumb Cake ink on the white wash piece of Wood Textures DSP. This is absolutely drool worthy for me and you are going to sick of me doing this! I then used the stamp set Half Full for the rest of the details on my card. I heat embossed the tag with sentiment with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder and colored the grapes using our Blender Pens with Lemon Lime Twist and Sweet Sugar Plum inks. The Scallop Tag Topper Punch is the perfect fit to create this tag. The lace trim and Linen Thread was perfect for the tag. To follow along with the sketch I added a nice Champagne Foil strip embossed with the soon to be released Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder. Since I used the Sweet Sugar Plum for the grapes, I decided to use it for the banner and chose to also heat emboss it with Copper Stampin' Emboss powder with the border like stamp also from Half Full. The larger wine glass was the last feature on the sketch that I needed to add. I simply stamped this using Crumb Cake ink on Very Vanilla and again used my Blender pen to color in the "wine" with Sweet Sugar Plum. To give it some sparkle I used the Clear Wink of Stella!

I am so excited about this card and I hope you are too! I can't wait to see what you come up with for this weeks challenge!
