Stamp Ink Paper 166 Buttons, Brads and Sequins

Tuesday!!! All of the kids are back at school! Today I am back with the Stamp Ink Paper Design Team after a bit of a sabbatical! It is crazy how time can get away from you while the kids are out of school and now I am trying to get back into my good business habits again...

This week with Stamp Ink Paper our challenge is cards with Buttons, Brads & Sequins! While I know that all three on a card could probably a bit much, so I picked one and ran with it! Let me show you what I have come up with.

Truth be told this card has been made for quite sometime or at least partially made! I started it, set it aside because I wasn't sure about it and then when cleaning over the weekend I thought to myself that it would be cute with a few Basic Adhesive Back Sequins! The Coastal Cabana leaves from the Petal Palette stamp set are on a nice piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. I have used the Watercolor Pencils to color the cluster of flowers and adorable little bird that I stamped with Sahara Sand. The Tea Room Ribbon was a perfect touch for this card with the copper edges!

It is amazing how much 3 little sequins can add to a card! I can't wait to see how you use Buttons, Brads or Sequins!!

Have a great Tuesday!

Creation Station Bird Is The Word Blog Hop

Happy Sunday! The Creation Station Team is back with a fun Bird Is the Word theme! The feathers will be flying this hop with all the amazing creations!

I had several ideas in my head when I looked at our theme. After a rough past week, all of those ideas went out the window. I even packed what I would to make something in this theme at my up-lines class!! I still didn't have anything whipped up and realized I hadn't blogged this...

I added the Bird from the Petal Palette Bundle last night when I was in a panic about not having anything ready. I actually stamped it using Early Espresso ink and used my Blender Pens with the Calypso Coral Watercolor Pencil. The base of this Pop Up tag card is Crumb Cake Card stock and was stamped using Soft Suede ink with the Tree Rings Background Stamp. I added a nice strip of the Wood Textures DSP to keep with a woodsy feel. I finally have Sheltering Tree...on my Very Vanilla I used Wild Wasabi ink for the green leaves and Soft Suede ink again for the trunk and sentiment. The tab at the top was made using the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle punches. I used the lace trim and Linen Thread.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I will be posting a tutorial at some point today with how to make this pop tag card! Now onto Kathy! I can't wait for you to see what she has made... You can get to her by clicking the next button below!
