Happy Thursday!!! Have you all made it through the week unscathed? At this point I have, and I have labeled this week "Hell Week". Between Dance, Gymnastics, Track, a Choir performance, a field trip to Denver with 5th and 6th grade... I am sure you get my drift! Today is the only day that I don't have to be ANYWHERE!!! Although I do have to do prep work for card class Saturday!!
This months Paper Pumpkin Kit is one of my VERY Favorites!!! It really didn't need to be changed, I could have made the whole kit just the way it was!! But, playing by the rules isn't always as fun! Let me show you my alternatives for the Sentimental Rose kit!
The kit itself lends towards my addiction to the Subtle color family! My goal for my design was to NOT feed into that! I took the type print card base from the kit and cut it at 3.5" x 4.75". I added a nice piece of Washi Tape, a little pieces of pleated Polka Dot Tulle and a banner of Melon Mambo DSP. After adding these little embellishments I stamped the flower from the kit in Melon Mambo Ink and fussy cut it! This kit is so amazing and had a beautiful leaf stamp. So I decided to add these leaves to the type print layer heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder. It was the perfect touch. I added the twine from the kit with a "For You" Tag then adhered it to my Melon Mambo mat. It needed just a pop so Basic Black was only right to use when putting on my Thick Whisper White card base! I adhered my fussy cut flower with Stampin' Dimensionals and added a few Basic Black Faceted Gems.
This cute little acetate box was made a to coordinate with the card. In the picture above with the card you will see I made a nice striped band using up Delicate Details Memories and More kit. I again used the type print with a Melon Mambo Flower. A nice foof of Polka Dot Tulle with Mini Sequin Gold accents!!
I am so excited for you to see what the rest of our team has put together today! You can get to each person by clicking along the list below!!! Next on the hop is the amazing Melissa Thomas! I can't wait for you to see what she came up with! Have an amazing Thursday!
