Creation Station Trees and Textures Blog Hop

It is Creation Station Sunday! We are having a beautiful weekend with AMAZING weather! Spent some time with the horses. The kids played a great game of hide and go seek as well as some fun jumping from hay bail to hay bail. We have big plans this evening and I have plenty of prep work to get done for a big surprise!

Today with I am the Creation Station Design Team and we are hopping with the theme "Trees and Textures", while you may not see Trees on my card, you will see Tree Rings and Wood. Showing you that you can make a card with layers and have visual texture, Let me show you what I have created!

My card design started with a nice background of Crumb Cake card stock. I gently stamped the Tree Rings background stamp with Crumb Cake ink so that the background was perfectly imperfect. Using the Share What You Love DSP, a large stitched oval from the Stitched Shaped Framelits from the wildflower pattern in this pack was perfect. The banners on the left were actually scraps I had and punched with the Banner Triple Punch and then layered underneath the oval. In my opinion a card ALWAYS needs a sentiment. The Share What You Love embellishment kit is absolutely delightful and had the amazing die cut label. Blackberry Bliss seemed perfect for the Thank You sentiment from the Love What You do stamp set. The Shimmery Pear Pizzazz ribbon was just the right touch with the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls. This was all layered onto a rich matte of Blackberry Bliss card stock and then added to a fresh card base of Pear Pizzazz!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I hope that you too are having an amazing weekend! Next on the hop is the oh so fabulous, lucky to call her my friend, Dena Rekow! You can get to her by clicking the next button below!
