TGIF Challenges 109 Rochelle Blok Designer Spotlight

Phew! We have made it through another week! The weather tried to be nasty yesterday but to no avail... We had some rain, lightning and rumbles of thunder. Today is suppose to be a bit worse. Hopefully it will wait until I am home!

I am back with TGIF Challenges with a fun Designer Spotlight Challenge, Rochelle Blok. I couldn't wait to do this challenge. There isn't really a card that Rochelle makes that I don't like. Her color combos are amazing and the girl likes some pink. I mean, what girl wouldn't! I surfed Pinterest and her blog for some inspiration. I hope I have done her proud!

This fun card started with Melon Mambo ink using the retiring Writing Notes background set. I layered this onto a Basic Black matte with a Melon Mambo base. I took about a 3" Basic black strip and heat embossed in Stampin' Emboss White the Definitely Dahlia then adhered it to my Writing Notes stamped layer. Some Basic Black Bakers Twine  with my fun Stampin' Emboss Gold sentiment from the Sunshine Wishes die set and I was almost done! I added a few Gold Faceted gems and it gave the card just the right amount of sparkle!

So glad to share my card with you today! I can't wait to see how Rochelle inspires you!

TGIF 98 Sketch Challenge

PHEW!!!! TGIF Is right! This week has been a doozy with the wind, kids, and just life in general! We are going to spend the weekend catching up on the daunting task of laundry, cleaning and trying to get some domestic chores accomplished! Not to mention Troy is working and on call!

Today I am designing with TGIF Challenges. We have a fun sketch for all of you to play along with. My kind of came together on accident. It was a purposeful accident but when I made this card it really wasn't going to be for today's challenge. Thanks to Jeanna I saved it for today!

My Card has a shabby chic essence to it. I stamped the Writing Notes at an angle onto the Very Vanilla card stock. I distressed the edges with a sponge dauber in Sahara Sand along the edges as well. My Copper doily was created by using Versamark on the doily then using our Copper Stampin' Emboss powder. I layered this behind the Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper frame I made using the Layering Squares Dies. My simple stitched square from the Stitched Shapes framelits was first stamped using the set Awesomely Artistic in the Mint Macaron ink. My "Thank You" sentiment in Sahara Sand with the Mint Macaron frame are from the Rose Wonder stamp set and were the perfect touch tto this card! I embellished this card with the Very Vanilla Lace  Trim, Linen Thread and a few Basic Pearls.

Thank You so much for stopping by! This is a fun sketch that I know you all will enjoy.
Until next time!

Whew! We have made it to Wednesday! Can you believe it!? Yesterday was my only day I didn't have ANYWHERE to be for kids!! It worked out nice because we a touch of snow. So I made a homemade batch of creamy potato soup for dinner.

Today I am designing with The Paper Craft Crew and we have a pretty shabby Tic Tac Toe to play along with. Remember my project that I didn't use for yesterday's post? Well I decided to use it for today! I went down the middle with Shimmer, Shabby Chic and Flowers!

Paper Craft Crew 221 Red, Green, and Kraft

Good Morning! It was quite a blustery day here in on the plains! I hunkered down and avoided going anywhere... and I do mean anywhere! Spent time in my craft room, did a little holiday decorating, and of course I took a lunch break, I love being my own boss!

This week with the Paper Craft Crew we have a color combo that I know will get you in the holly jolly spirit... I am not sure why I put Kraft because I used Crumb Cake. Hope you like my take on this week's challenge...

I have been trying to use Holiday catalog sets with Annual Catalog sets to show you that there are so many other ways a stamp set could be used. This consists of three stamp sets, Writing Notes, Greetings from Santa and Thoughtful Banners. To be honest this wasn't my original idea. I had a shaker in mind, but when this idea popped into my head I ran with it!

I started by stamping the Writing Notes Background Stamp onto a 3.75 x 5 layer of Whisper White. The lines on this background stamp are perfectly imperfect. Then I stamped the Crumb Cake Reindeer and Cucumber Crush Tree at the bottom right these are both from the Greetings from Santa stamp set. Now, when I got to this point the card needed more than lines, a deer and a tree. So I took the Thoughtful Banners set and stamped my "Naughty or Nice" list alternating the Watermelon Wonder with Cucumber Crush. I accented this with a few sprinkles of stars and clear embellishments from the Hello December 2016 Accessory Pack. My Naughty or Nice is also from the Greetings from Santa set. I simply stamped this with the Watermelon Wonder ink and die cut it using the Tags & Labels Framelits so that I could matte it onto the same shape in Cucumber Crush card stock. I made a quick hole to tie my Linen Thread bow and adhered it onto the card next to the Linen Thread border to give the appearance of a package tag. I adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish this I did a cockeyed matte onto the Watermelon Wonder and then adhered it to my Cucumber Crush card base!
Ho Ho Ho! Have you been Naughty or Nice?
I can't wait to see you all participate with this fun color combo!

Stamp Ink Paper 71 Color Challenge

Sorry I am late this morning!! I had internet issues last night and the Bronco's were on! Not to mention that I had Parent Teacher conferences and other obligations... it was truly a busy day yesterday!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have some fun fall colors for you to enjoy! I really can't wait to show you what I came up with!

I just love the way this card turned out... I used Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon! I knew that these colors really lent towards a fall theme... I AM TIRED OF FALL!!! So I went out on a limb and did something a little different from the rest!
My card started with the Writing Notes background stamp with the Mint Macaron ink onto the Whisper White Card Stock. We all know that I am a HUGE fan of the Definitely Dahlia stamp and it has been a while since I had used it last so I inked it up with my Delightful Dijon ink and then stamped it on the bottom right corner. My Cajun Craze sentiment is stamped using words from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. The Mint Macaron Layer I adhered my stamped layer to was distressed by using a pair of scissors along the edges. A simple Linen Thread bow and some Gold Wink of Stella on the flower (took a closer picture below so you can see it) and I was done!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you make with this lovely color challenge!
