The Spot 120-Christmas In July

Hey, Hey! I missed you guys! Last week was crazy. Weighing pigs, 4H Record Books and me making 10 giant paper flowers for prom decorations... Time really got away from me and it seems like lately I am chasing my own tail. Good news is that fair is a week and half away!!! So this too shall pass.
I am back with The Spot Design Team with a Christmas in July challenge for you all! Do you ever get an order of new goodies and you ordered each stamp set because you had an idea. Then the order comes and you are in this overstimulated crafting fog. That has been me for a couple weeks now. It doesn't help that my craft room likes like a bomb went off in it. It is bad! Between retired stuff and unfinished projects, it is a craftastrophe!  Enough about me, let me show you what I have created!

I started this card with this cute little Polar Bear guy from the new Warm & Toasty stamp set! He is oh so adorable stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with my Purple Posy and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends. I fussy cut him with my Paper Snips. Mad skills, right?! I then made my frame using the Stitched Rectangles and Layering Squares dies out of Seaside Spray cardstock. I used a piece of our Window Sheets to make the shaker window and adhered it with Tear & Tape. Next, I added some of our foam adhesive strips around the window before adding the Snowflake Sequins to my shaker. The Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper that makes a return from last years Holiday Catalog was the perfect background for this winter like scene. This is beautifully matted onto a layer of Highland Heather cardstock to coordinate with the sentiment that is also stamped in Highland Heather and accented with the little snow flake like stamp in Seaside Spray and Smoky Slate. I added a few of our Metallic Pearls just to jazz it up a bit before adhering it to my Smoky Slate card base.

I am so glad that you stopped by today! I can't wait to see what you create with this weeks challenge!

TGIF 210 Color Challenge Southern Living

Happy Friday! We have made it through the week! Well almost, I mean I would like to think that I conquered my busiest day of the week yesterday... But looking at what is on my plate for tomorrow... It may be the winner... Band, Prom Makeup, Dance Recital... That about sums it up!

Today I am back with the TGIF Design Team creating with an amazing color challenge! It seems like lately I can not put the Petal Pink away!!! It just ends up on EVERY card I make. If you didn't know, the Subtles are my FAVORITE!

While I know that on Wednesday I gave a sneak peek of the upcoming Good Morning Magnolia Bundle, today I am creating with a couple stamp sets that will not be returning. Lets take a look at my card!

I remember seeing the Southern Serenade stamp set for the first time. My most favorite stamp in this set is the distressed lace like stamp. I have taken it along the edges of my Whisper White with Petal Pink ink. To give it a bit of a dirty distressed look I have sponged Crumb Cake as well. Once that was done, the small lace like border was stamped in Pool Party on the bottom left. This was set aside while I colored up my Crumb Cakes boots from the Country Livin' stamp set. This is another great set that will not be coming back in the new catalog. I chose to use the Blender Pens to color up these beauties in the most imperfect way and added a bit a Pool Party shadow. The cute little flower, also from the Southern Serenade was fussy cut with Paper Snips and adhered to my boots with a Mini Glue Dot! A nice little Faceted Dot was perfect for the center. The Stitched Square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits was perfect layered onto the Gold Glimmer Paper. To keep with my shabby chic card I have added a nice banner of Wood Textures DSP with a lovely piece of the Scallop Lace Trim that will debut in June in the NEW Annual Catalog!

I am so glad you stopped by today to check out my card for the TGIF Color challenge! I can't wait to see what you create with these colors!

I have provided a full product list below of everything I used on the card today!

Have a GREAT Weekend!

OSAT Bring on the Birthdays Blog Hop

Phew! Happy Thursday to all of you! My kids are on a snow day because of the major blizzard that hit Colorado... We were lucky in that they were able to go to school for half the day yesterday just to be sent home early and have a snow day today... which also means spring break starts early!!

This month with the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop we are hopping with the theme Bring on The Birthdays! There are quite a few of us with March birthdays on this hop. I say us because I am one! I turn 40 on the 21st! I know that it is just a number but I am mostly excited about my mom flying in to see me! Enough about that, let me show you what I have created for this Birthday Bash!!

I can't get enough of our How Sweet It Is suite in our Occasions catalog. In this suite you can find the Sweetest Thing Bundle, How Sweet Is DSP and the Sweet Pins & Tags. Of course there are a few more items in this suite but I couldn't name the all! My card starts with a fabulous base of Granny Apple Green and bright mat of Melon Mambo, I just can't get enough of these bright and cheerful colors. I have taken a piece of Whisper White and stamped Smoky Slate candies scattered across the bottom. My Pool Party Stampin' Blends were perfect for a glass like candy jar. I cut a WHOLE BUNCH of candies out of card stock colors that coordinate with the Designer Series Paper Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, but I went a bit rogue and used Daffodil Delight instead of Pineapple Punch. They are quite a few of the little candy dies, so I just cut all of them out of each color so that I had extras to use later... I placed them at the bottom of the jar as though they spilled out. To finish this card off I added a 1" strip of DSP across the top. This created a perfect place for a Coastal Cabana and Gorgeous Grape stamped sentiment banner.

To coordinate with my card I have used the Window Box Thinlit Dies with Coastal Cabana card stock. I even used the candle die in this set on two of the "squares" on the out side of the box. To give this box a bit more of a party punch I have added stitched squares using the Stitched Shape Framelits using the How Sweet it is DSP. Remember those extra candies? I used a few on the box! On the top of the box I have used a 2 1/4" Granny Apple Green punched circle and layered a Pearlized Doily with a Starburst Punch of the DSP. A nice bow of Polka Dot Tulle was perfect for this party favor. Another super fabulous feature about this bundle is that the dies in the Sweetest Thing Bundle actually cut pieces of the DSP. So I die cut a cute little jar to layer on to my Sweet Tag that is pinned with the coordinating Melon Mambo Pin!

Did I leave anything out!? I sure hope not! I am so glad that you stopped by today! You can continue along the hop by clicking through the list below! I can't wait for you to see what all of my fabulously crafty friends have come up with!

Something OLD and Something NEW Blog Hop

Happy Sunday! I am back with the Creation Station Design Team blog hop for this first Sunday of June! Can you believe it is June already?? Did you already go shopping in the Annual Catalog?? We have had quite a busy week here at our house with a birthday, summer school, chores, horses and  of course the pool. So I have had a heck of a time getting into my groove!

Creation Station is hopping this month with the theme "Something Old AND Something New" The goal was to use something that was a returning in the Annual Catalog with stuff that is new in the Annual Catalog. Lets take a look at what I have come up with...

I wanted to show you how Dino-Riffic these little projects came out! I have used the No Bones about it stamp set with the Pick A Pattern Designer Series Paper. Adorable right?

The card is a base of Sahara Sand with a matte of Flirty Flamingo to coordinate with the strip across. I simply stamped the Dinosaur from No Bones About it and heat embossed his skeleton in Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. The paper is from the Pick A Pattern DSP set that is new in the Annual Catalog. I accented this with some fun Glitter Enamel Dots and Crushed Curry Bakers Twine which are new as well!

This coordinating Mini Treat Bag was also made with the Pick A Pattern Paper and No Bones About It. It was the perfect little coordinating item to go with my card above.... I just love the way this all worked together! You can get a full list of my products at the bottom of my post!

Thank You so much for stopping by! Next on the hop is Dena Rekow you can get to her by clicking the Next button or if you are going backwards you can get to Jennifer Down by clicking Back!

Have a Dino-Riffic Sunday!!
