Creation Station Layers of Leaves Blog Hop

Happy Creation Station Sunday to you all! It seems as though Fall has fallen on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. It was a brisk yesterday watching Wesley and his team finish their football season. When we got home, we all went about our day. I went to the craft room to work on my stuff and the kids proceeded in bursting in anytime I had a crafty friend on the phone...

This month the Creation Station team has many beautiful creations with the theme "Layers of Leaves". In fact, you are probably going to see a lot of fall themes from me this week... I decided to break out a very versatile set from the annual catalog to showcase this theme. Enough talking (or typing for that matter), let me show you what I have whipped up!

I am going to be honest, the Tree Rings background stamp is something that I had to have when the Annual Catalog came out LAST year! I just haven't used it enough... The same could be said for the Colorful Seasons stamp set as well as the coordinating Seasonal Layers dies. I decided to make some watercolor wash leaves using my Aqua Painters, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze ink pads and Watercolor Paper. I die cut the washed leaves with the coordinating die in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. I also cut the copper glimmer paper from the Joyous Noel pack to adhere to them. They really turned out elegant don't you think? The Tree Rings background stamp was inked up with Crumb Cake and also stamped onto Crumb Cake for a nice lodge like feel.  The larger stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits layers nicely over the leaves and Wood Texture DSP. An added touch with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and a nice bow made of the Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8" Ribbon and this card was done.

These cute little note cards were made to coordinate with my card! They fit so nicely in the little Wood Crate! I even stamped the envelopes!

I want to thank you so much for stopping by today! I can't wait for you to see what the AMAZING Julie Beltramo has created for you, you can just click the next button below to continue along on the hop!

OSAT All About Men Blog Hop

So sorry that I am so late with my post!! It is the One Stamp At A Time All About Men Blog Hop today and I had some severe weather go through last night and the lightning was right on top of our house... not sure it would have been the safest idea to be sitting at my desktop while that was all going on... even tried to do it from my phone to new avail!

Did you get to me by way of Justin Krieger?? If so I just loved what he came up with fro this month's hop!
I was so excited to dip into some new goodies from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. I finally got the dies for the Pocketful Of Sunshine stamp set that I got at OnStage Prize Patrol! I know for many of us Masculine Cards are a struggle but somehow I knew exactly what I was going to do.

My fun card started with the Dapper Denim pocket heat embossed with the stitching from the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set then die cut with the coordinating framelits. I added the cute little Whisper White tag with "Dad" using Soft Suede ink from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. The fun little fringe was created using the Burlap 5/8 Ribbon. I adhered this to my card using the Tear N Tape. The Classic Label stamped Happy Fathers Day was the perfect touch. My "Gold" studs were created with a Gold Sharpie on the Glitter Enamel Dots. A nice border of Dapper Denim with a piece of the Color Theory paper was just the right touch with my linen thread bow on the Hexagon embossed Kraft.

I wasn't sure what to do with my "project" portion for this hop! I stamped a set of note cards as seen above using the Wood Words Stamp Set that coordinate with card and fit into this lovely little wood crate!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I can't wait to show you what Melissa has come up with,  you can get to her by clicking the button below!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge 244

Been a bit of slacker when it comes to my blog lately... so much going on! BLAH! One week from today and the kids will be on break. Most moms would be excited, and although I am ready to be done with school, I am not sure that I am ready for summer break.

This week with the Paper Craft Crew we have fun sketch for you all to play along with! I am really loving the Wood Words Bundle that will be available to you on June 1st!

This fun card started with a base of Pool Party Card stock with a soft matte of Sahara Sand. My Whisper White layer is stamped with Pool Party ink with the flower cluster from the Wood Words stamp set. I added a Stitched Circle stamped with the same pattern layered onto a Sahara Sand Layering Circle with a couple of dimensionals. Almost like a triple time stamping effect. My cute little rooster was the perfect edition with my Linen Thread bow and wood trim. My sentiment was heat embossed with Stampin' Emboss White and was perfect for this card. I added some nice Glitter Enamel dots and I was done with this fun little card!

TGIF Challenges 104 Polka Dot Challenge

Friday!!! Friday!!! Thank Goodness Its Friday!!! We are suppose to be getting some much needed rain today and I am sure that our farmers need it. 4 more weeks of school! Not that I am counting down or anything!

Today I am designing with TGIF Challenges with a fun Polka Dot challenge! What person does not love some polka dots!?

My fun card started with a base of Real Red card stock with a nice layer of the new wood DSP. I used the circle from the Wood Words set with Real Red ink. It has nice distressed look to it, as do all of the shapes in the set. I went ahead do a nice wood strip across my polka dots with a nice rustic strip of burlap ribbon and the new copper trim that tied on the little "Thank You" sentiment. The crumb cake stamped flowers on my nice stitched circle are layered onto a Real Red scalloped circle to coordinate with my Rooster and polka dots!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what polka dot perfection you come up with for this challenge!
