This week with Stamp Ink Paper our challenge is cards with Buttons, Brads & Sequins! While I know that all three on a card could probably a bit much, so I picked one and ran with it! Let me show you what I have come up with.

Truth be told this card has been made for quite sometime or at least partially made! I started it, set it aside because I wasn't sure about it and then when cleaning over the weekend I thought to myself that it would be cute with a few Basic Adhesive Back Sequins! The Coastal Cabana leaves from the Petal Palette stamp set are on a nice piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. I have used the Watercolor Pencils to color the cluster of flowers and adorable little bird that I stamped with Sahara Sand. The Tea Room Ribbon was a perfect touch for this card with the copper edges!

It is amazing how much 3 little sequins can add to a card! I can't wait to see how you use Buttons, Brads or Sequins!!

Have a great Tuesday!

TGIF Challenges 167 Follow Your Dreams

TGIF! Or maybe you have taken a long weekend after celebrating the 4th, that is IF you are in the USA. We had a great 4th of July, with a BBQ, homemade 25 foot slip and slide and of course ended the night with some fireworks and smores! I am not sure that it could have been any better!

Today I am designing with the TGIF Challenges design team! We have a bright and fun summer color combination for you all to play along with! I recently used this combo with the Lemon Zest stamp set. It was really hard to NOT use it again! I mean with hot summer days a nice glass of limeade or lemonade sure hits the spot! When my wheels began to turn I went in a WHOLE other direction!! Are you ready? Here is my card...

My card has fresh base of Grapefruit Grove with a nice bright matte of Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock. I started to create my background with Water Color Paper and my Aqua Painters. I had all 3 ink pads on my work area and began with the Grapefruit Grove swoosh. After than I carried on with the other two colors Pineapple Punch and Lemon Lime Twist. While I liked my background it still needed some umph!  I added the Gold Stampin' Emboss splatters by using my Aqua Painter (you will want to use one you don't mind ruining) and watered down Liquid Multipurpose Glue. I kind of flicked it a few times and then added the powder. Of course my Heat Tool did the cool stuff! I also used Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder on the center of the Dream Catcher from the Follow Your Dreams Bundle. I had die cut this twice and adhered them together using the Fine Tip Glue Pen before I had heat embossed it twice with the gold. This was set aside while I created a Feather stencil using our Window Sheets, the feather die from the bundle and the Shimmery White Embossing Paste! It was just the right touch of sparkle for this added texture. I stamped the Grapefruit Grove Dream Catcher, Lemon Lime Twist and Pineapple Punch Feathers to die cut them on my Big Shot using the Magnetic Platform. I scattered these about the card using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and of course had to adhere the Dream Catcher with Stampin' Dimensionals as well. To give this card one last Pop, I have added some Basic Adhesive Back sequins and Stampin' Emboss Gold heat embossed sentiment!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you create with this weeks challenge! I have provided a full list of products used below! Have a great weekend!

Home Decor SU Style June Blog Hop

Welcome!! I know I am posting a little later than the normal, but I am so excited about this NEW, AMAZING Stampin' Up! Focused Home Décor Hop! Sara Levin is the brains behind this beast and I can't wait to show you what myself, and 19 of my Global Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Friends have created!

I know that many of us when we hear "Stampin' Up!" we are thinking, Cards, Scrapbooking and Stamping, but there is one avenue that I am sure that our customers don't think about. Home Décor! Sometimes it is giant cardstock flowers, themed samplers or beautiful framed pieces to compliment a rooms décor... Enough about that, let me show you what I have created for you today!

I warned you guys, this bundle has saturated my creative brain since April! I am loving all the creations I am seeing done with this. My color scheme for this amazing décor piece is Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, Petal Pink. My large stitched circle from the Petal Promenade DSP is layered with a Crumb Card Stock Die Cut from the Follow Your Dreams Bundle. I have a nice Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake Water colored Feather with a bit of Clear Wink of Stella before adhering my Mint Macaron and Champagne Foil Dream Catcher. I have also Water Colored the die cut Dream that is also in the same bundle using Mint Macaron and my Aqua Painters. This too is layered onto an additional Dream die cut in Champagne Foil. To achieve a nice balance I added two more Water Colored Feathers in Petal Pink and Crumb Cake with a sparkly coat of Clear Wink of Stella. A perfect trio of Basic Adhesive Back sequins and my piece of décor in my shabby chic white frame was complete!

I hope that you have enjoyed my Home Décor piece today! I can't wait for you to tour the WHOLE hop! Have a beautiful day!!!
