Stamp Ink Paper 138 Cardmakers Choice

Happy Tuesday! Today will be like a Monday only the calendar says its Tuesday thanks to the three day weekend! We had a rather windy weekend with a 75 degree day on Sunday that was AMAZING! Horses got blanketed in the evening because of the cold front pushing in and then it snowed most of yesterday!!! Today we are left with igloo's as graphics on our weather apps!

I am back with the Stamp Ink Paper Design Team with to me what is considered a NO RULES type challenge! It is a Card Maker's Choice and we are suppose to use our favorite stamps, inks and papers but what if it is all our favorites!? I took the opportunity to use something I really haven't seen used from Sale A Bration, the Mixed Medallions Card Kit!

When you receive the Mixed Medallions kit, It kind of has a gate fold that goes over the top of a landscape fold. What I have done here is cut the landscape fold flap in half, making like a pocket using our Tear N Tape. I made a nice little trim with the Silver Foil Stripe from the Springtime Foils paper. This pocket would also hold a gift card or certificate! I stamped some Berry Burst confetti from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set along with the Silver Stampin' Emboss sentiment. This was matted onto Calypso Coral and fits nicely into the pocket. This fastens closed with a lovely piece of the Sale A Bration Calypso Coral Shimmer Ribbon. I sponged Berry Burst and Calypso Coral ink onto the sentiment also from Picture Perfect Birthday. A nice Stitched Circle was perfect for the elements on the outside. Silver Mini Sequin Trim was just the right touch to complete this card!

Thank You so much for stopping in today! I can't wait to see what you make with all of your favorites!

Paper Craft Crew 275 Sketch Challenge

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday! School is back in full swing and it looks like all 3 kids survived yesterday! Weather is on its way and I am hoping Mother Nature doesn't punish me with a Snow Day! Not sure if I will be blanketing horses as it is suppose to start as rain and turn to snow!

The Paper Craft Crew has a fun sketch that was designed by former design team member Crystal Komara. I wasn't sure how to play with this sketch but after some crafty collaboration with a friend I figured it out..

This Berry Burst card with a matte of Bermuda Bay sure came together nicely. I honestly wasn't sure when I looked at the sketch what exactly I was going to do but it all came together nicely. Once I had my angled piece of Picture Perfect Party DSP. My Bow is also from the Picture Perfect Party, I have fussy cut it and heat embossed it twice with clear Stampin' Emboss powder. This bow has about 4 or 5 dimensionals just so it would lay flat. I added some of the Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron below the bow. The sentiment comes from the Picture Perfect Birthday set. I used my Paper Snips to cut it up so that I could add the Celebrate from the Celebrate You thinlits. I actually ended up cutting this 3 times. Twice out of Bermuda Bay and then out of the Light Green Glimmer Paper from the Magic & Myths Glimmer Paper Pack.

Thank you so much for stopping in today! I can't wait to see the creations that you come up with! Have a great Wednesday!

Stamp Ink Paper 132 It’s A Cakewalk Challenge

Happy Tuesday! Looks like we all survived the first week of the New Year! Hopefully you have all stayed warm! The kids returned to school this morning, I was just a bit excited. I love them, I really do... but this Christmas break seemed to go on FOREVER!!

Also, really quick because I am WAY excited!!! I received my Arkon Stand!!! So I will soon be adding video's to my blog posts! Exciting right?

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we are designing to a "Cake Walk" theme! I mean we all deserve some cake every once in a while. As a kid, I didn't even like cake for my birthdays or celebrations. My mom always made a big GIANT chocolate chip cookie. Okay, Okay enough about me... Lets get to the details of my card!

I really struggled to put the Petal Passion DSP away... but I have made a promise to myself that I will not use it this week! I may be as infatuated with the Painted With Love DSP as I am the Petal Passion. It is a FULL pack of DSP that lends towards a Valentine theme, every piece has a side with Gold Foil accents. It is absolutely stunning and I will be using more of it in the next few weeks. This is where my cute little hearts came from. It is one of the pieces in the DSP pack that is simply cut using the largest of the Stitched Circles. Once I had this cut, I set it aside. I created my cupcake from the Sweet Cupcake set using Berry Burst, Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo... I then covered it up with the Shimmery White embossing Paste for a "frosting" like look. The base was created using Sahara Sand, Peekaboo Peach and So Saffron. I die cut both pieces using the coordinating dies. I adhered the base of the cupcake with Fast Fuse and the top with Stampin' Dimensionals! The Gold Glimmer paper banner with a strip of Melon Mambo was a nice addition. I used the sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday with the Melon Mambo ink at the bottom right. A matte of Rich Razzleberry and card base of Melon Mambo was just the right touch!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to Cake Walk through all your creations for this challenge!
