OSAT Spring Has Sprung Blog Hop!

It is the second Thursday of the month!!! We all know what that means! OSAT Blog Hop time!!
I am so excited to have a Christine Pennington this month as a guest hopper! Make sure you stop by her blog and say hello!
This month's theme is Spring has Sprung! We have had some amazing Spring like weather here on the eastern plains of Colorado! I really think the kids love it too because they are able to go outside and play!
I promised you all yesterday that today's card would NOT be a shaker! I have to tell you though, I have had this card done for two weeks... Do you know how hard it was to keep this beauty a secret?? I actually was on FaceTime with Dena when I was cooking this one up! Glad I had her as go too!  She is pretty amazing! Now lets get to the details...

SEE!! It isn't a shaker card! This is a Double Gate Fold!
There is a really amazing tutorial for the double gate fold card on Split Coast Stampers...
I used the lovely Wildflower Fields DSP from the Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration catalog with a coordinating belly band to keep the card closed. This card is different than a lot because the base is actually paper instead of card stock. The band was made using a strip of the coordinating DSP! I used the Fun Frames embossing folder on Lost Lagoon card stock and then fussy cut it using my Paper Snips! My next little layer I made using Old Olive card stock. I simply punched out the banner twice and set them aside while I worked out the label! I chose to use the Choose Happiness stamp! I used the Stampin' Write markers in Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive to create this lovely Bracket Label! Once I had my Dimensionals ready, I did some quick Gold Metallic thread loops to add some sparkle! This band just slides right off... The inside layer was made with matte of Lost Lagoon card stock. I stamped the branches from the Choose Happiness stamp set in Old Olive ink. The adorable little bird was made using Lost Lagoon ink and used my paper snips to fussy cut him out so that he can sit upon the branch at the bottom! Blackberry Bliss sentiment was the perfect touch!

Now this little mini can be made in MANY ways! You can find templates and tutorials on Pinterest!
I wanted it to to coordinate with my card so of course I used the same DSP as the card! You can embellish these or do stamped layers! I even created a couple pockets!

Thank You all so much for stopping by! Next is Lori! I can't wait for you to see the lovely spring creations she made up for you! Have a great day!

Stampin' Friends Blog Hop Everything Fall

Hey there and welcome to the very first Stampin Friends Blog Hop! If you haven't been to my blog before I am Andrea Tracy-Tucker Demonstrator for Stampin' Up!! I live on the far eastern plains of Colorado! I am the mother of 3 wonderful kids 2 boys and 1 girl! All of them are FINALLY in school! My husband is a veteran and now a blue collar worker. We also have 3 horses and 2 dogs.

Did you get here by way of my dear friend Tina? Don't just love Tina's Fry Box? I hope that candy is for me!!!

To kick this hop off we have 3 amazing guest hoppers this month! You can find there links below!

I must confess "Fall" is not my bag! I really didn't have a lot of what I would consider fall stamps. Totally weird, I know! So I used what I had in what I felt like was fall like colors! I really love the way everything turned out! Let me get you the details

So the struggle was real! I think I started 3 cards before finally coming up with this. I stamped the Hardwood using Tip Top Taupe Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock. Kind of a backwards way to start a card but some days I am anything but conventional! I then made the base of the card in Mossy Meadow! It coordinates with bow on the pumpkin below! I then used a piece of the Farmers Market DSP to create a matte for the Hardwood. On the Hardwood layer I stamped the leaves from the Choose Happiness set. I then stamped the lovely little flower in Blackberry bliss then fussy cut it with my Paper Snips. The "Grateful" thinlit is from the Sparkly Seasons bundle in the Holiday catalog! This was adhered to the card using two way glue pen. I still felt like it needed some thing so I stamped the bird from the same set in Delightful Dijon to give it some POP. This too was fussy cut! Then I fastened the flower and the bird using Stampin' Dimensionals. The In-Color Striped cotton ribbon in Mossy Meadow on the right was the perfect finishing touch! Now onto my project!

I know that I have done this basket before! But I had to do a different spin on it with In Color Striped Ribbon  around the outside. I had stamped it out using the Hardwood Stamp in Soft Suede ink onto a Sahara Sand Card Stock. I then sponge daubed the edges to give somewhat of a barn wood feel. The lacy trim under the scallop edge is the Venetian Crochet Trim. To top off the fall look I added some raffia in the basket for my Curvy Keepsake Pumpkin to set on. This little cuties was made using Tangelo Twist card stock! I then Embossed each part of the box with the Wood grain embossing folder! What pumpkin wouldn't have leaves at the top?? Well instead of leaves I added a lovely little Mossy Meadow DSP Bow using the Bow Builder Punch.

Thank You all so much for stopping by!! We have plethora of amazing talent on this hop so make sure you stop by and see each of us!! I am sure Deana has created something amazing for you to see!

Stamp Ink Paper 10 Inspiration Challenge

Hey there and happy Tuesday to you all! I am glad to see that we all survived Monday... Tornado Watches and all! So this thing with the pool closing over a week ago SUCKS! The kids dang near had me commit myself yesterday.... There was fighting, whining and more fighting!! I finally noticed that our schools are starting a week later than last year! Should I send them the bill to color my hair??

We have a new design team member!!! I am so excited that Ginger Pelfrey has joined us! Fellow design team member Lisa Altman picked our Inspiration Challenge this week! I loved it and knew that I could go in SO many ways with it! I have been on a flowers with wood kick lately. I can't wait for you to see what I have put together for you! But first let me show you the inspiration....

I really love the way that this card turned out!! I started it with a lovely base of Tip Top Taupe card stock with a matted layer of Cherry Cobbler. The "wood" DSP is from the Farmers Market DSP collection. I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to make it look a little weathered. I stamped the Definitely Dahlia with Versamark ink, used Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Emboss powder and then used our Heat Tool to heat emboss it! I also used "Choose Happiness" from its set. I used the Stampin' Write markers in Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobbler. I punched this out using the bracket label punch. I also used the Vintage Photo Distress ink to rub the edges and then finished it with some "metallic" candy dots (I colored Candy Dots with a Gold Sharpie). The Burlap Trim is actually our Burlap Ribbon. I cut the edges off so that it would fray. I attached it to the card using Scor-Tape. Next I used a Retired/Vintage Crochet Trim over the top and tied a simple square knot. To finish this card off I attached the sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals and broke out the new enamel dots that you will get to see in the Holiday Catalog on September 1st!

Thank You all so much for stopping by!
I can't wait to see what this picture inspires you to make!

SIP #1-Getting To Know You Challenge

Happy Monday! Wait that is kind of an oxymoron, but it is a happy one here! Welcome to the NEW Stamp, Ink, Paper Weekly Challenge! I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be a part of this new adventure with my esteemed leader Justin Krieger! We are hoping to keep things ALWAYS fun and interesting trying to stretch you outside your card making comfort zone! This past week has been crazy! Pool, home, horses, kids, new catalog, cards, kids... I’m sure that a number of you will understand!! I have been in a total creative black out! Even when I had no boundaries it wasn't until this past Friday that I was able to get this little honey together!

I am so in love with the new Stampin' Up! In-Colors!! I am sure you will be seeing me use them a lot in the future!

The base of this card was started with the new Tip Top Taupe Card Stock. With a pretty layer of the Mint Macaron which is also new!!! The Very Vanilla layer was embossed with TIEF Lovely Lace and then trimmed with the new Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace (which I also LOVE!). I fussy cut the flowers from the stamp set Choose Happiness. I stamped these in both the Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride inks. The cute little wood banner on the top right is also from the Choose Happiness stamp set. I embellished the banner with a cute button from the Very Vintage Designer Buttons then finished it off with a bow tied through it with the Linen Thread. I fastened two of the flowers with Mini Glue Dots and the third with Stampin' Dimensionals. I know you all are probably wondering where I got the sentiment... Well, it is Unity! It came from their May 2015 sentiment kit and well, It worked with the card! Finally the flowers needed some umph! So I busted out some Basic Pearls and put them on in random sizes!!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with! A challenge with no boundaries!! To top it off our first challenge will last two weeks!! So get to it! Make something with your favorite goodies!!
Have a fabulous week!! Thank You for stopping by!

Choose Love

Good Morning! Great Sunday morning to you all!
Yesterday I ended being an outside girl and helping friends move livestock panels. Didn't get to ride but it was nice to be by the horses. When Mr. Tucker and I are were done with that we team worked the yard work that needed to be done! I did the weed whacking, he mowed! We make a great team! It is suppose to be warmer today so we are more than likely going to the pool!

I have to be honest. I made this card last week one day trying to mix some of the NEW stuff coming out on TUESDAY (that's right I said Tuesday) with stuff that is carrying over. I bought Choose Happiness during our Sale-A-Bration this year and man was I scared when I saw the retired list! But I was lucky! It has carried over!!

When I started this card I just started pulling ink pads to see what looked nice together! What you all may not know is that I used to work in a paint and wall-covering store WAY before kids and Mr. Tucker. So I really do have an eye for color. I chose Sahara Sand Card Stock as my base of this card. The next layer is Lost Lagoon card stock. I then took Whisper White card stock and stamped it in Sahara Sand ink with the Hardwood stamp. You will notice I also used the leaves on the bottom right corner from Choose Happiness, they are stamped in Lost Lagoon. I am a lover of the new In-Colors!! I used the Delightful Dijon to stamp the Choose Happiness flower. Then I busted out the Paper Snips and fussy cut it! I did rub the edges a little with the Sahara Sand just to give it a more aged look! I set this aside. The sentiment is from the new set Friendly Wishes, this was stamped in Lost Lagoon on about an 1.25" strip, then I used the Triple Banner Punch for the left end and also rubbed its edges with Sahara Sand and finished it off with three pearls. I attached it on the right with my tape runner and then fastened the Delightful Dijon flower over the edge of it with Stampin' Dimensionals. I ended up putting random sized pearls too! I am really getting into the layers. So I wrapped the Delightful Dijon Dotted Lace trim around the left side and layered it with the retired Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon and tied a cute little bow!

I absolutely adore this card and I hope you do too!!!
Have a great Sunday!
