New At SU Perfect Pair Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday! Hope that your week has been fabulous! We had about a 40 degree cool down here on the eastern plains of Colorado and that calls for soup, sweaters and a big cup of coffee. It is a pretty quiet week here, no football and Taryn had a volleyball tournament last night! It was nice to sneak to my craft room this morning and create!

Today I am hopping with the New at SU team! We are so excited to feature some of our "Perfect Partners" with some of our newer stamps and dies bundles! I was so excited to stake claim on the Cottage Rose Bundle for this hop and I can't wait to show you what I have created!

When I claimed the Cottage Rose bundle, I initially called it the Abigail Rose bundle... and this suite as a whole speaks to my soul but I wanted to show you that it can be bright, pretty and fun! So today I have paired it with the Black & White Designs DSP that is in our Holiday Catalog.
I started this card with the a Scalloped Rectangle from the Scalloped Contour Dies with the black stripe. I cut a piece of the chevron DSP to fit inside and used our Blending Brushes with Polished Pink, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green. I just loved the way that it turned it out. Next, I stamped the flower from the Cottage Rose Bundle in Memento ink and colored it with Polished Pink and Granny Apple Green Blends and die cut it with the coordinating dies. I chose to use Coastal Cabana card stock as my mat but you will notice it has a bit of sparkle. I used a whole bottle of Wink of Stella mixed with some Rubbing Alcohol to create a shimmer spray with one of our spritzing tools. Then I added a bit of the Black Bakers Twine from the basics pack and tied it with some coordinating ribbon scraps I had on hand! This card is accented with our Iridescent Rhinestones and sits beautifully on a base of Basic Black!

I am so thankful for you stopping by today! You can tour the whole hop by clicking through the list below! I can't wait for you to see how creative my friends are!

  1. Would NOT have considered using the Black & White Designer Series Paper with the Cottage Rose, but I do love using the blending brushes on it! Your design astounds and delights!
