OSAT Just Blend It Hand Penned Blog Hop

Happy Thursday to you all! I am glad to be back in my groove of stamping and crafting! Mother Nature has not been on our side when it comes to life and chores outside... the wind has been HORRIBLE! It doesn't make feeding the pigs or watching baseball any fun. I am ready for it to stop! Today I have Taryn's partner in crime Maddy coming over to start her scrapbooking projects for fair!!
This month myself and my friends on the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop Team are hopping with the theme "Just Blend It". There are so many ways that you can blend! Blending Brushes, daubers, sponges, even our Stampin' Blends, just to rattle off a few. The possibilities are endless. Let me show you what I have created for you today!

My projects today feature the Hand Penned Petals Bundle (which will return in our new catalog), the retiring Pansy Petals DSP and the Heart & Home DSP that is in our Jan-Jun Mini Catalog. I am so happy that our Hand Penned Petals Bundle will carry over, I feel like I am just starting to use it and love it. My Blending technique can be found on the flower. I chose to use our Stampin' Blends to color the beautiful flower.

This card started with the colored flower from the Hand Penned Petals Bundle. I have quite a few of these colored in my stash as I was planning on using them for a swap. The flower is colored using our Stampin' Blends in Soft Seafoam, Petal Pink and Pale Papaya. I use the large flower stamp in the same  set to create a background on the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch of Basic White with Petal Pink ink. The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This sits on a scalloped die cut from the Scalloped Contour Dies of the Pansy Petals DSP and is accented with a bit of Linen Thread. To continue the fresh spring farmhouse look, I have layered this onto a piece of the Heart & Home DSP, a mat of Smoky Slate and card base of Soft Succulent was the perfect touch for this card.

This fun tag is actually a wood tag! I have painted the tag a dark gray with craft paint and used Mod Podge to add the DSP to the tag. I took a risk when I decided to heat emboss the large flower from the Hand Penned Petals. Again, I added the same flower that has been colored with Stampin' Blends to the fun little tag. A bit of ribbon and Elegant Faceted Gems were just the right touch!

I am so glad that you stopped by to see what I have created today! You can get even MORE blending ideas touring through the WHOLE hop by clicking through the link list below!

Have an amazing day!
