Good Morning! This last week has been such a doozy. The good news is that it is OVER and today starts a brand new week! The kids have a 4 day school week with no school on Friday, not sure if I am excited about spring break or if I should go into this all cautiously. A year ago tomorrow, Joshua kicked off his spring break early with his appendectomy and then our whole world fell apart with COVID. We plan on having some fun this break though with plans to go to an indoor water park and some pig shopping! I can't wait for our barn to be full of pigs again! We claimed one last night for Josh from our friends, 1 down 5 my more pigs to go!
Today I am back in the swing of things with the Creation Station Design Team Blog Hop. I may have had some doing with regards to our Outwest/Outback Theme. It is an esthetic that is very much our families lifestyle. We have horses, 4H animals and love our agricultural friends! I chose to ink up the Ride The Range Bundle, I know it is on backorder BUT that doesn't mean you can't order it and make sure you stake your claim! Let me show you what I rounded up for you!
So this card started with a piece of Cinnamon Cider card stock piece that I decided to emboss with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder. You see, I had this epiphany about using our Blending Brushes and making a piece of what I thought would look like tooled leather. Like a saddle or even a belt. I used Soft Suede and Early Espresso with our Blending Brushes. The sponge daubers were perfect to get the raised details a bit darker. Next, I stamped the barbed wire on a label from the Tasteful Labels dies with Early Espresso Ink and layered it over a piece of our Misty Moonlight In Color DSP. The fence was die cut from a piece of Crumb Cake and a wood scrap from the In Good Taste DSP and adhered together so that it has dimension. My windmill is also cut twice and adhered together this time using some Soft Suede and added a bit of sparkle with the some Wink Of Stella. The sentiment stamped onto the Basic White Label from the Tasteful Labels Dies is stamped in Misty Moonlight to coordinate with the Blender Pen colored jeans that I colored on the cowboy. Once I had all of my layers arranged and adhered with Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Dimensionals, I added a a few Star Designer Elements. A mat of Misty Moonlight and Crumb Cake card base had me hollering "YEE-HAW" when this card was done!
I can't wait for you to see what Kathy has created for this hop! You can get to her by clicking the next button below!
