A Quick Look at Tasteful Touches

Happy Wednesday! I actually had a bit of time to just play in my craft room yesterday. Should I have been cleaning my craft room? Yes! Should I have been cleaning the house? Also, Yes! It seems as though my hopes and dreams of any alone time are just that... Hopes and Dreams! At least until school starts in September! Between taking care of Pigs, Horses, Kids and Garden life is going to be crazy for a long while. We are settling into a new normal. Distance learning is OVER!

When I saw the colors from the Global Design Project (you can get all of the information by clicking the graphic above) for this weeks challenge I couldn't wait to create SOMETHING. After using the Tasteful Touches last week it was on my work space clearly saying, "Pick me! Pick Me!". I have really been stuck using Petal Pink and this challenge provided an outlet for me to try something new. Now let me show you what I have created today!

When I started this card I placed my ink pads in front of me on my work place and just started stamping. The Soft Seafoam layer was first, it is stamped with the greenery like stamp on Soft Seafoam card stock. My old Paper Snips stick around so that I can distress the edges on card stock like I have done above. After distressing the edges of the Soft Seafoam layer, the sentiment was stamped with Versamark and sprinkled with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder to be heat embossed. The flower is stamped in Blushing Bride on Whisper White with the center accented with Champagne Shimmer Paint. I have adhered  loops of the Gold Bakers Twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack behind the flower. This is layered over a banner stamped with Pretty Peacock and is also distressed.  I wasn't sure what to do or layer all of this over. So I grabbed a Whisper White piece of card stock and put it in the new Greenery Embossing Folder at a bit of an angle so I could emboss the corners. After adhering the Soft Seafoam layer to the embossed Whisper White, I distressed the edges of the Pretty Peacock mat. There really wasn't a better card base color than Blushing Bride, add a few Gold Gilded Gems and this beauty was done!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you need more inspiration with this color scheme just click the link above! Bye for now!
