A Paper Pumpkin Thing Friends Of A Feather Blog Hop

Good Morning!!! A Paper Pumpkin Thing is back with this months Paper Pumpkin Kit. It is called Friends of A Feather. I must confess that when opening this months kit, I squealed and promptly told the powers that be that I needed at least 10!!! Unfortunately we won't have refills on this kit... Lets mourn together but there are plenty of extra pieces for you to play with even AFTER you make your cards.

I know that I have been a bit absent this last week. We had a horse emergency last week that did not end the way ANYONE would have liked. It hit our entire family hard... it kind of sucks the life out of you.

With this months kit creativity did escape me. The projects shown today are actually the fourth alternative I have whipped up. I LOVE FEATHERS!!!! I mean if you don't like LOVE this kit, YOU ARE CRAZY!!! There are just so many ways to use this kit. For todays hop I have made a quick and easy card with a great little pillow that would work as a place setting or treat holder.

This Coastal Cabana based card really came together QUICK! The Burlap Background Stamp was stamped in Crumb Cake at an angle. I adhered the feathers by sponging some Multipurpose Glue. The sentiment is stamped with Fresh Fig ink with the little dots below in Coastal Cabana. A nice little Linen Thread Bow and a few sequins from the kit and this baby was complete!

The pillow box was fun. I actually cut one end off so that you could use it for silverware or treats. I used the border from one of the kits card bases to make the cute little trim at the top with a bit of Washi Tape. I just love the leaves in this kit, I know that some had them wrinkled or damaged but they really easy to fix up with a Bone Folder.

Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait for you to see the alternatives the rest of the team has come up with!
