Friday! Friday! Friday is normally my favorite day! Our winter break is winding down (Thank Goodness!) and the kids have been able to play outside the last few days! So, TGIF!
I am back for my first post of the year with TGIF Challenges and we have a fabulous colors for you to play along with today!
Sale A Bration is in full swing and I couldn't wait to ink up the Happy Wishes stamp set! If you "aven't noticed the Petal Passion Memories and More card pack has also gotten a lot of attention in my craft room! It is so versatile because of the black and white patterns, however that is not how I used it for this card... Let me get you the details!
Okay, I didn't use ANY of the cards from the Petal Passion pack. I did use the frame. I ended up cutting it up with my Paper Snips and using it as stencil! So when sponging my Island Indigo, Night of Navy and Fresh Fig I placed down on the bottom right corner and continued to sponge the rest of my 3.75" x 5" piece of Whisper White. I wasn't sure where to go from there but knew it needed balance. So I took the opposite corner piece in the frame and trimmed it up to go in the top left corner. This couldn't just be left as is, so I inked it up with Versamark and heat embossed it with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder not once but twice! I adhered it by spreading Liquid Multipurpose Glue with a tiny paint brush. The light blue velvet scallop trim is from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit. This was adhered using Tear N Tape so that it would lay nice and flat! Once I had these elements done, I sponged with a finger dauber all three colors in an ombre like fashion onto the "Best" from the Happy Wishes stamp set which can be earned for free by placing a $100 order during Sale A Bration! I die cut this with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. To finish this I added the "friends" using Versamark and the heat embossed Silver Stampin' Emboss powder. I wrapped the Silver Bakers Twine around the center of the card and attached the oval with 4 Stampin' Dimensionals. I made a quick hole to tie the tassels from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment with a cute little twine bow! A few Glitter enamel dots and this beauty was done!
Thank You so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you make with this awesome color challenge!!!
This is beautiful, Andrea. Love the stencil sponging!
