Happy Monday! Surprised to see me on a Monday?? Did you all have a good weekend? It was a nice lazy weekend here although Taryn had a dance performance Saturday night. I spent all day yesterday trying to get warm... No, it wasn't cold. I just couldn't get warm!!!
Today I am introducing A Paper Pumpkin Thing . I will be honest, it was impromptu, and did not take months of planning. Pam Staples and I had one of those moments. You know the one where you look at each other (on FaceTime) and say "A-Ha"! We are calling this new blog hop A Paper Pumpkin Thing because well, that is what it is and it was perfect timing with the new "A Sara Thing" kit. We will be hopping each month with alternative designs for the kit! Fun Right?! For our first hop we have an amazing line up for you!
You will want to make sure you go through the whole hop, because there just might be something in it for you!

If you got to my blog by way of Lydia! Welcome! I am so glad you are touring through the hop! My name is Andrea! Let me show you what I have made this month with the "A Sara Thing" Kit.
Now that you have seen my creations let me give you some details. My fun "You Are The Best Teacher" Sticky Note Holder was made using Basic Black card stock for the base with some Lemon Lime Twist as an accent. I used the inside of a couple of the envelopes to come up with my papers and pocket. I accented the pocket with the acrylic flowers and leaves from the kit with a trim of the Pop Of Pink Washi Tape. The Teacher note actually comes out of the pocket, so if the teacher wanted to use it as a bookmark they could! I created this using the Scallop Tag Topper with a scrap piece of Melon Mambo card stock. I used the washi tape from the kit as "ribbon" through the top!
My card was a little more simple to make. I used the resist pattern with my watercolor pencils that were in the kit. I added some of the adhesive leaves and an acrylic flower. I fussy cut the "you" and adhered it to one of the banners provided with a strip of the stripe made into a banner! I adhered this onto my Lemon Lime Twist matte at an angle with some washi tape accents.
Fun stuff right? Feel free to comment with any questions! I am so glad you stopped by! If you find an alternative idea or way of using your My Paper Pumpkin Kit make sure you post it using the #APaperPumpkinThing so that we can all see it!
Now for the good stuff!
