Stamp Ink Paper 73 Grateful Theme Challenge

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! I am so excited that it is truly starting to feel like fall here! I even got to wear a scarf and my favorite sweater vest yesterday! I am completely swamped with craft fairs and upcoming classes I am not even sure which way is up!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we are creating with a Grateful Theme and I can't wait for you to see what I came up with... but here is what is crazy, The Paper Players have a "Thankfulness" Challenge so I am going to be submitting my card to them too!

Voila! I am so grateful for my friends near and far and couldn't think of a better card to show my gratitude!
The card started with Stampin' Up! Project Life set Hello Lovely. I used a circle die from the Layering Circles to die cut the center of the "wreath". After attaching my Window Sheet and get my Foam Adhesive Strips all set in place I added my sequins from Hello Lovely Accessory Pack. You will notice I added some extra gold and some seed beads to give it more guts. Once I had my shaker bits in place I added a patterned piece from Hello Lovely. Now that I had this all ready I decided that the wood like DSP from Serene Scenery was perfect for this card. I again used the Foam Adhesive Strips so that the card front popped off my card base of Tip Top Taupe card stock. I wasn't quite done... every card needs a sentiment! My Bunch of Blossoms set was still on my desk from the other day and I found this fabulous sentiment and how cute is it on Stampin' Ups new Stitched Shape Framelits!!! FINALLY! I have been waiting for 2 years for us to carry stitched dies! These little lovelies go perfectly with the layering dies and that is just what I did. I added my sentiment to a lovely gold scallop circle from the Layering Circles collection and it went perfect with a nice Linen Thread bow!

Thank You so much for stopping by! You can find a full product list below... Now go on!! Let me see your Grateful Cards!

  6. Hey Andrea!

I know I shared my love for this card on Facebook with you already but I wanted to support your blog as well so I thought I'd leave a comment here too! :0)

I have never really given SU's Project Life kits a second glance because, as much as I love the idea of Project Life, I just have so many other "balls in the air" when it comes to crafting that I haven't had the time or energy to give Project Life a try yet... I'm so thankful that you shared your card that uses the Project Life kits in a completely different way - it totally opened my mind to all the possibilities with these beautiful kits, so thank you so much for that!

I love your blog - I can totally identify with the way you write ;) You mentioned that you, "...added some extra gold and some seed beads to give it more guts" which I appreciate because I'm not sure I'd have realized that & been disappointed when my version turned out "less gutsy", LOL!!! Where did you pull your extra gold and the seed beads from? Another kit? I have added everything I need to make your card to my next order (yes, I really am going to create my own - possibly several to share with friends/customers) so I wanted to be sure that I have enough "guts" (LOL! I LOVE that word!) too!

I'm so glad I found your blog - you now have a new follower! :)

    Thanks again,
    Christine aka The Stampin' Ninja
