Stamp Ink Paper Anything But A Card Challenge

Happy Tuesday! Of course it is another Monday like Tuesday because the kids had yesterday off AGAIN! Joshua had a great time at his wrestling tournament earning 5th place and FINALLY grasping the fact that he can't let the other person pin him! He looked over at the beginning of the 3rd period of his last match and hollered "MOM! This is the longest match ever!". We are so proud of him!

Today I am creating with the Stamp Ink Paper Design Team and our challenge is ANYTHING but a card! So took the opportunity to make this fun little altered magnetic to do list!

I started off with a whole other idea in mind but when I realized another design team member had already used the egg cartons, I decided to do something with these fun little note pads I found on clearance at Dollar General! This is a quick and easy project that you can even up it a little with a coordinating pen or clothespins.

I simply cut the white piece of card stock that is used in the DSP packs. It was cut at 5.5" x 9.5". I also cut my Basic Black Card Stock to the same size and adhered it to the base with Liquid Multipurpose glue. The Pop of Pink DSP was perfect for my note pad. I the Pink with White Polka Dot was cut at 5.25" x 9.25". My quick little decorative strip on the left was cut at 1.5" x 9.25" with a coordinating strip at 1.25" x 9.25" to go over the top!

You really could embellish this any way you want to!
Thank you so much for stopping in! Just remember ANYTHING BUT a Card!
Have a great day!

#TGIF 96 Designer Spotlight Bibi Cameron

YEEEHAW!!! It is Friday!!! Can you believe it? Do you all have some awesome plans for the weekend? We have a wrestling tournament on Sunday and the kids have a 3 day weekend. Are you scratching your head trying to figure what I am doing posting on a Friday?? I can't believe that I have kept this a secret all week! I am now on the TGIF Challenges Design Team! I am so honored to be in the company of such a creatively elite group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators!

This week for TGIF we are creating cards inspired by Bibiana Cameron! Bibi and I just recently became friends and I was so excited to find out that she is our muse for the challenge!

I wanted to boldly go in a direction I really hadn't gone... after many failed attempts I came back to this design. My Birthday Bloom flower was colored with our Watercolor Pencils in Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Blender Pens to create a soft yet rich in color look.. My ruched Gold Satin Ribbon and sequins seemed to be just the right touch with the Gold heat embossed "Love" sentiment from Watercolor Words. I matted this onto Rich Razzleberry and then onto a base of Smoky Slate. It really is crazy how nice these colors worked together.

Thank You so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see how Bibiana inspires you!

Paper Craft Crew 232 Sketch Challenge

Good Morning!! Happy Wednesday! This week is just buzzing right by!

Today I am designing with the Paper Craft Crew and we have a fun sketch for you to create with today! I decided that it looked like perfect picnic table idea...

http://wp.me/p3p2Be-1uG

My card started with a Clear Heat Embossed Hardwood piece of Tip Top Taupe! I wanted the card to look like the top of a picnic table. It all came together so quickly... I matted the the Gingham from the Succulent Garden DSP set onto a Pear Pizzazz matte. I tied a nice linen thread bow on top of my strip of Washi Tape. My Nice little jar is full of love. I matted the this onto another piece of the gingham pattern to put onto the Pear Pizzazz card base!

Thank You so much for stopping by! It is pretty clean and easy!

Stamp Ink Paper Kindness Challenge

Good Morning! Welcome to another Tuesday that will feel like a Monday because we all had kids home yesterday!! Taryn had a fun Mini Cheer camp with the high school girls and coach! I am so happy that our family is in such a small and loving community that offers experiences like this for our children!

Today I am designing with the Stamp Ink Paper Design Team and we are making cards to share kindness. What better way to show kindness than making a card to tell a friend thank you for always being there!

This was really a pretty easy card to make up! The base is in a lovely base of Night of Navy with my matte in Peekaboo Peach. I used the paper from Sale-A-Bration called Carried Away! I just love the contrast in colors in this paper! My sentiment came from the Window Shopping stamp set and went perfectly on the Stitched Square with the Night of Navy Scalloped Square from the Layering Squares set. A quick thick bakers twine bow and a few little dimensionals and I was done!

I can't wait to see how you share kindness with your cards for this challenge!

Have a fabulous day!

This month we are hopping with Black, White and a Pop of color. The struggle was real with this! I mean I immediately want to use the Pop of Pink DSP color scheme, but I felt like with Watermelon Wonder leaving in a few months it needed to come out to play! Not only did I use Watermelon Wonder, I also busted out Paisley & Posies, Pop of Paradise, and Suite Sayings...

It all came together once I got out of my own way... I used the black and white striped paper from the Pop of Pink DSP. I simply stamped the "medallion" like shapes from the Paisley & Posies bundle in Basic Black and Watermelon Wonder and die cut them with the coordinating framelits and arranged them around my oval. You will notice I did a couple shapes in Basic Black. They actually have Clear Wink of Stella on them. I wish the picture could catch this element that you can see in person. I accented this with a few sequins from the Metallic Sequin Mix to finish it up!

My amazing little treat bag was made using the Gift Bag Punch Board and a 6 x 10 Sheet of DSP so that I could make a small bag! Cute right? This cute gold polka dot ribbon is also from the Pop of Pink DSP. I made the great tag using the Cheerful Tag Thinlits. The gold heat embossed sentiment is from the Pop of Paradise set and layered onto a Watermelon Wonder scalloped circle from the Layering Circles dies. I add this onto the Fancy Acetate and the fun two sided doilies from the spring catalog! It fastens close with velcro! Some fun Watermelon Wonder Striped Ribbon with some left over Gold Bakers Twine was just the right accent!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Next on the hop you will find the always creative Barbara Welch! If for any reason you would like to see a full list of our hoppers it is just below the next button!

Stamp Ink Paper 86 Color Challenge

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! I know it is Valentines day so as Super Mom I will be attending the kids elementary school activities this afternoon! Unlike the past few years I didn't do ANY hand made Valentine Trinkets for ANYONE! I just didn't have the time!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have fun Spring like color challenge for you all to play along with to get you out of that "Valentine" mood! I Chose to use So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay with the Cool Treats Bundle! A total no-brainer right?

No automatic alt text available.

My card started with a base of Peekaboo Peach with a matte of So Saffron. I knew that the Ice Cream from the Cool Treats set was going to be just what I want. It is stamped with So Saffron Ink and the swirls in Peekaboo Peach with some Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder Heat set on there to look like real Ice Cream! My Yummy little cone was made with Sahara Sand I had handy as scrap. I actually used Clear Wink of Stella but I am not sure you can see it in the picture! I had adhered the cone with a couple Mini Glue Dots onto a Stitched Circle of DSP. I used the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP for this fun little project so I was able to sneak some of the amazing Bermuda Bay Glimmer paper onto my card! This won't be available until February 21st and is FREE when you purchase $50 or more in Stampin' Up! product! A nice doily and some gold metallic thread was just the right touch. My nice little twine bow came from the Cupcakes & Carousels embellishment kit and of course my "Yum" sentiment... this actually came out of the Bakers Box die set!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge!!!

OSAT All You Need is Love Blog Hop

Image may contain: text and outdoor

Yayyyy we are back! It is the second Thursday of the month! This is where myself and a whole bunch of One Stamp At A Time's member participate in a OOBER fabulous hop! I can't wait to show you this month's hop. It is oozing with creativity and a whole lot of love!

This month our theme is "All You Need is Love" and I can't wait to share the love with all of you while you tour this hop!

We all know that I really don't like hearts... It has nothing really to do with Valentines, I just don't like heart shaped anything. So when doing this theme it is honestly a struggle... but, I think I nailed it and I hope you enjoy!

My card started with Irresistibly Floral Specialty DSP. This fun emboss resist paper can cater to whatever you like. I decided to sponge it using Sweet Sugarplum and Soft Sky inks. I just received the NEW Sale-A-Bration Glimmer Paper pack. This pack is amazing!!!! You get 4-6x6 sheets of 3 colors, Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron and the adorable color I used Sweet Sugarplum. I used the heart die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to cut the heart out of the sponged paper, that way the glimmer paper would show through the heart! Cool right? Once this was all glued on with a fabulous ruched ribbon bow, I die cut the "love" sentiment out 3 times and adhered them all together before heat embossing them in Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. I added a few little sequins to give a final touch before attaching it to the Soft Sky Cardstock base.

My fabulous little treat bag is a Glassine Bag. I simply folded it in half and adhered it to the back so that I had a smaller bag to work with. I made a cute little tag with my left over goodies that I used to make the card. I filled it with a "Fun Dip" Valentines for my special someone!

Thank you so, so much for stopping in today! I hope you are enjoying the hop! Next on the hop is Renee! I am sure she is going to dazzle you with her fabulous love themed designs! You can get to her by clicking the button below!

The card started with my Emboss Resist hearts from the Watercolor Words! To do this I sponged Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach and did my Heat Embossing with clear on Whisper White! I matted this layer with a nice a little piece Flirty Flamingo Card Stock! I layered this onto a piece of the Peekaboo Peach papers in the Playful Palette stack of DSP! My Clear Embossed Peekaboo Peach Heart was just the right accent with my "love" banner!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see how you interpret this sketch!
