Paper Craft Crew 221 Red, Green, and Kraft

Good Morning! It was quite a blustery day here in on the plains! I hunkered down and avoided going anywhere... and I do mean anywhere! Spent time in my craft room, did a little holiday decorating, and of course I took a lunch break, I love being my own boss!

This week with the Paper Craft Crew we have a color combo that I know will get you in the holly jolly spirit... I am not sure why I put Kraft because I used Crumb Cake. Hope you like my take on this week's challenge...

I have been trying to use Holiday catalog sets with Annual Catalog sets to show you that there are so many other ways a stamp set could be used. This consists of three stamp sets, Writing Notes, Greetings from Santa and Thoughtful Banners. To be honest this wasn't my original idea. I had a shaker in mind, but when this idea popped into my head I ran with it!

I started by stamping the Writing Notes Background Stamp onto a 3.75 x 5 layer of Whisper White. The lines on this background stamp are perfectly imperfect. Then I stamped the Crumb Cake Reindeer and Cucumber Crush Tree at the bottom right these are both from the Greetings from Santa stamp set. Now, when I got to this point the card needed more than lines, a deer and a tree. So I took the Thoughtful Banners set and stamped my "Naughty or Nice" list alternating the Watermelon Wonder with Cucumber Crush. I accented this with a few sprinkles of stars and clear embellishments from the Hello December 2016 Accessory Pack. My Naughty or Nice is also from the Greetings from Santa set. I simply stamped this with the Watermelon Wonder ink and die cut it using the Tags & Labels Framelits so that I could matte it onto the same shape in Cucumber Crush card stock. I made a quick hole to tie my Linen Thread bow and adhered it onto the card next to the Linen Thread border to give the appearance of a package tag. I adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish this I did a cockeyed matte onto the Watermelon Wonder and then adhered it to my Cucumber Crush card base!
Ho Ho Ho! Have you been Naughty or Nice?
I can't wait to see you all participate with this fun color combo!

Stamp Ink Paper 76 Embossing Challenge

Happy Tuesday! I hope all of you had a fabulous Thanksgiving and didn't eat too much! I was just talking to Troy about left overs. Which I must say that most of them are gone except the Mashed Potatoes. I only used 4 more potatoes than I would for a regular supper and still have tons left over! So if you have a good recipe for left over mashed potatoes let me know.

This week on the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge we are challenging you to Emboss! So simple, right? You can either heat emboss or use your favorite embossing folder, we aren't that picky. Have fun with it, I will show you what I came up with...

I must confess it took 4 hours to get the card done... Stella couldn't get her groove back! Last week for our color challenge I had an idea that OBVIOUSLY didn't happen with the Merry Medley background stamp being heat embossed on the Very Vanilla... Well I don't always throw my ideas completely away! I instead re-purposed it... I used the largest stitched circle out of our Stitched Shapes Framelits and then layered it onto a Tip Top Taupe scalloped circle from the Layering Circles collection. I really wasn't sure what I was going to use to embellish this once I had inked up the Hardwood stamp with Mint Macaron. Reason for The Season was sitting next to me from last weeks card and I really hadn't used the poinsettia in it. So that too was inked up in Mint Macaron and the outline was done with heat embossed copper on the Very Vanilla. I used paper snips to fussy cut it out and adhered it with some Copper Metallic Thread loops with Stampin' Dimensionals. A quick little knot of the crochet trim and this card was done!

Thank You so much for stopping by I can't wait to see what you emboss for this challenge!

Paper Craft Crew 220 Sketch Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving eve! We are finishing up the last little touches of cleaning the house before my in-laws get here for our feast tomorrow! I am sorry I am a little late with my post... the barometer and my head aren't always in sync and I was fighting a nasty headache!

So the Paper Craft Crew has a fun sketch for you all to play along with! I know that our design team really took this sketch to a brand new level.

I really wanted to use a set that I feel like hasn't gotten enough attention from the Holiday Occasions catalog! I am really starting to fall in love with the "Be Jolly, By Golly" photopolymer set! It is so whimsical! So here is my design team submission for this weeks sketch!

I am loving the bright colors that I am seeing for Christmas this year! Crazy thing is that this card actually coordinates with my Christmas Tree decor! The color combo I chose was Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and Perfect Plum with some touches of Smoky Slate! I used our amazing stitched squares that are adhered to a Silver Glimmer Paper Layering Square. Those cute little ornaments are from the set Be Jolly By Golly along with my fun and funky winter scene complete with trees! The Christmas Greeting thinlit "Merry" is layered onto two die cuts of Old Olive!
I am going to cut this short because I have much to be doing! Thank You so much for stopping by!

Stamp Ink Paper 75 Color Challenge

Happy Tuesday! I am so excited for Thursday, aren't you? I mean, Thanksgiving is my favorite meal to cook!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have a color challenge that can be used in so many ways! I must be honest, I was bit rebellious and used Sweet Sugarplum as well! I hope you love my fun take on our challenge for this week!

So my fun card started with the Touches of Texture set! I stamped the spattered background in Pool Party ink and the vintage lace like border was heat embossed in copper! My Sweet Sugar Plum tree from the Peaceful Pines Bundle is adorned with heat embossed copper dots! I did some quick Metallic Copper Thread loops behind the tree and attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals! My lovely sentiment is from Reason for the Season, it too is heat embossed in copper. A Pool Party matte on a Copper Foil card base was just the right touch with my Fancy Frost Sequins!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with! You can find a full list of the items used below!
Have a great day!
