Halloween Teacher Gift

I know a Thursday non blog hop post! Who Knew?! But when I came up with this great little decor piece I just wanted to share it with EVERYONE!!!
I was trying to come up with something I hadn't made for any other teacher! I tend to be more creative when I like the teacher... funny how that works!

I started with the idea that frame is for a 5 x 7 picture. The stamped layer is 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch piece of Whisper White cardstock. I started by stamping using the Timeless Textures set at the bottom with  Smoky Slate ink. Once I got the look I was trying to achieve I added the Basic Black spider webs from Ghoulish Grunge. The Perfect Plum drips from the top also came from the Ghoulish Grunge stamp set! When my stamped layer was complete I added a fussy cut house from the Halloween Night DSP to the bottom right and a quick strip of the coordinating washi at the top left. My "Boo!" sentiment was created using the Large Letter Framelits with black glitter paper I found in my stash. This project wasn't quite complete without a little Heidi Swapp Tinsel Color Shine and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins!

I can't wait to see what the teachers think of this great little decor piece!
Thank You so much for stopping by!

Paper Craft Crew 216 Sketch Challenge

Good Morning! It was nice yesterday to spend the day in my craft room! I whipped my card for today and started on tags for goody bags for the younger two's Halloween parties on Friday! The crunch is on because my craft fair is in 2 weeks!!!

I am designing with the Paper Craft Crew today and we have a fun sketch for you to play along with!
I took the opportunity to NOT do a fall themed card! My head is in Christmas and I hope you all appreciate it!

My card honestly started with my looking at the Holiday catalog... I have the Holly Jolly Layers set and love how they layered it up in the catalog on page 3! Of course things always need to have my spin on them but that is where I got my inspiration for the card today!
The design of the card started with Holly Jolly Layers. I stamped the first image with Basic Black Archival ink. The next layer I used was a lovely layer of Cherry Cobbler. If you look close my Gold Stampin' Emboss Holly on the Very Vanilla Card stock is on a small little layer of Garden Green. These two layers were adhered with Liquid Multipurpose and then attacked to the Cherry Cobbler with a Stampin' Dimensional. Next I inked up my Merry Medley with Cherry Cobbler ink and stamped on the top left corner.  I used the Music Note piece of This Christmas Specialty DSP on the very edge with my Burlap Ribbon. A few loops of Gold and Green Metallic Thread and a couple dimensionals and I adhered this to the card front! It is matted onto Garden Green card stock with an A2 Base in Cherry Cobbler!

Thank You again for stopping in! I can't wait to see how interepret our sketch!

Stamp Ink Paper 71 Color Challenge

Sorry I am late this morning!! I had internet issues last night and the Bronco's were on! Not to mention that I had Parent Teacher conferences and other obligations... it was truly a busy day yesterday!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have some fun fall colors for you to enjoy! I really can't wait to show you what I came up with!

I just love the way this card turned out... I used Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon! I knew that these colors really lent towards a fall theme... I AM TIRED OF FALL!!! So I went out on a limb and did something a little different from the rest!
My card started with the Writing Notes background stamp with the Mint Macaron ink onto the Whisper White Card Stock. We all know that I am a HUGE fan of the Definitely Dahlia stamp and it has been a while since I had used it last so I inked it up with my Delightful Dijon ink and then stamped it on the bottom right corner. My Cajun Craze sentiment is stamped using words from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. The Mint Macaron Layer I adhered my stamped layer to was distressed by using a pair of scissors along the edges. A simple Linen Thread bow and some Gold Wink of Stella on the flower (took a closer picture below so you can see it) and I was done!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you make with this lovely color challenge!

Paper Craft Crew 215 Fall into Fall

Good Morning! The week is just speeding on by! I will be crazy busy preparing for the craft fair the next few weeks so if I seem like I am not typing much that is why!

This week with the Paper Craft Crew we have a great fall theme! We just recently lost a community member and I saw it as an opportunity to make a card I wouldn't normally make!

I sponged the circle using Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze ink on to Very Vanilla card stock. I did a Copper heat embossed tree line using my stencil from the circle. The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder set and stamped with Soft Suede Ink. I then matted this onto the Cajun Craze with a linen thread and copper bow. It really looks great with the Soft Suede Card Stock!

Thank You so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see you all participate!

Stamp Ink Paper 70 Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

Hey Guys! It is Tuesday and I am designing for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge!
We are on challenge #70 so Lisa and Sandy cooked up a really cute Tic Tac Toe I know you are going to love!

I have to admit I was a bit of an overachiever for this challenge! I really am out of FALL ideas! But I had everything cut and ready to go (even showed some of you!). So on my Tic Tac Toe I went straight across the top! Leaves, Green and Patterned Paper!

This tray is from a Stampin' Up! kit of long ago and I actually have two! I knew as soon as I opened the Hello Lovely Project Life set exactly what I was going to do!

Creative way to make a Tic Tac Toe right?
I can't wait to see how creative you get for this challenge!

OSAT Oh My Pumpkins and Pie Blog Hop

Happy Thursday everyone! I can't believe we are already in October and that it is already the second Thursday of the month can you?

It is time for the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop. This month our theme is "Oh My Pumpkins and Pie!". Did you get to me by way of  Renee Romain Ondrajka? That Pumpkin Pie she made with the Cutie Pie Thinlit was totally adorable! If you didn't get here by way of Renee make sure you check out her project!

You are going to see a few new designers this month Kayla McGinnisWendy Cranford and Lisa Altman! Make sure you make them feel welcome! I know that each of them are very talented!

Sometimes when I am creating for a hop like today's I know instantly what I am going to do... FALL IS A STRUGGLE FOR ME! There I said it! I mean, I want to TRY to do something I haven't done in the past! Well I think I nailed it... How many times can you say that you have seen me watercolor?? Maybe once... or twice, but that is irrelevant! I really went out on a limb with this month's card!

So when I think fall I think of pumpkins, scarecrows, and leaves changing colors! Well on this card I went for the trifecta! It all started with the pumpkin! Can you believe this plump cutie is from the fabulous Jar of Haunts set? I stamped it using the Basic Black Archival ink and heat set it so that it wouldn't bleed when I used my Aqua Painter to do my water coloring and of course I used Pumpkin Pie ink with our water color paper! Once it sat for a bit to dry, I used my paper snips to fussy cut it out. My scarecrow head is also water colored! He is from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set and I actually ended up fussy cutting his head and putting some Linen Thread fringe at the bottom to make it look like straw. I colored his nose with Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker before using my Aqua Painter with So Saffron ink and Wild Wasabi for his hat. When that part was all done I set it all aside and started with main part of the card. It is a Wild Wasabi card stock base with a So Saffron card stock matte. I used the Wild Wasabi and So Saffron from the Subtles DSP stack to create the strip across the bottom with my Linen Thread bow. My cute little fall leaves at the top were created using the leaf stamp out of the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set with So Saffron ink. My sentiment? Oh yeah it is from the CHRISTMAS set Oh What fun!

My Cute coordinating Bag Tag will call it was made using the Jar of Haunts set! The Mummy was stamped in Wild Wasabi ink and cut with coordinating framelit. I didn't like the eyes, so added the googly eyes to make it more dimensional and spooky! I finished this little honey up with a strand of Pumpkin Pie sequins and my sentiment tag!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure you tour the whole hop! It is crammed full of creativity! The creative Pam Staples is next on the hop! Her card is amazing! Paper Craft Crew 214 Merry Christmas

Good Morning! It is a chilly fall morning here! It rained on and off most of the night and we even had a thunder storm go through! Spent the evening last night helping or maybe I should say encouraging my oldest to do his homework. I can't seem to get through to him how important it is just go to get it done!!!

As I told you last week The Paper Craft Crews Challenge #214 is a two week challenge and I decided since I am on the design team, instead of not doing a post at all I would share another card that this sketch inspired me to make!

Challenge Details

I can't believe how easy this card came together!! I just love the fact that it exudes the lodge, rustic like feel that I wasn't necessarily going for but... this may be my personal Christmas card this year!
I started with the Very Vanilla card stock and used the Merry Medley background stamp with Crumb Cake ink at somewhat of an angle. I am a huge fan of our new Layering Dies and as you can see above the squares are what I used to make my Crumb Cake and Warmth & Cheer DSP Square. The Peaceful Pines Bundle was one of my favorites from last years Holiday Catalog and I was so pleased to see it carry over into our Annual! I simply stamped the tree with Garden Green ink onto the Very Vanilla Card Stock and used the coordinating die to cut this with my Big Shot! I knew that somehow I needed to achieve the strip of paper. Knowing I wanted to keep with my rustic approach I crinkled up the music pattern in the This Christmas Designer Series Specialty Paper a few time and did a quick swipe with snail to adhere it to my card. I then attached the tree to the layered square using Stampin Dimensionals and attached it to the card front. I happened to have the "Merry" Christmas Greeting Thinlit already cut out of the Gold Foil for my sentiment. What is a Christmas Tree without a Star? I punched a quick small star out of the same foil, added few gold sequins and bit of Warmth & Cheer washi to finish this beauty off!

Hope to see you all play!! You still have a week to enter! Have a great day!

Stamp Ink Paper 69 Love Theme (HAHA!)

Good Morning! It is nice crisp fall morning! Our weather lately has been somewhat unpredictable! It is suppose to be 50 something tomorrow but 84 by Friday! Come on Fall get your crap together!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have kind of lost our minds... If you know me or Justin personally you would know that we love a good pun and we have some what naughty minds LOL!
So what better for challenge #69 than a love theme right???

My card started with my stamped "Love" sentiment from Watercolor Words. I stamped it three times using Smoky Slate then once in Pool Party then adhered it to a strip of Smoky Slate Cardstock. The fun chevron pattern is from the A Little Foxy DSP. I matted this with Smoky Slate card stock to coordinate with my sentiment strip. With a cute little coordinating banner I adhered the sentiment strip to the card front. I used the hand held stapler to staple a short strand of silver sequins to the top left. My fun metallic silver heart embellishment from Sunshine Wishes was cut 3 times then glued together. I then heat embossed this TWICE with silver embossing powder!

Thank You so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see your love card!

Paper Craft Crew 214 Sketch Challenge

Good Morning! Yesterday was a whirlwind! I ended up helping at the elementary school most of the day! Wish I knew how many steps I had today!

I am designing today with the Paper Craft Crew! This sketch is sooooo much fun that we are actually running it for TWO WEEKS!!! So I hope to see all of you play along!

This spooktacular card started with a base of Basic Black Card Stock. What Halloween card wouldn't have orange? So I used Pumpkin Pie for the matte. Whisper White was really the ONLY card stock to use for this card once I started! I actually stamped the spiderweb from Ghoulish Grunge 4 times in the Basic Black Archival ink. I then adhered the Halloween Night DSP strip at an angle over the web! My Layered Circle was made using the Halloween Night DSP with Basic Gray card stock. After coloring my little vampire with Stampin' Write markers I adhered him to the circle with a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals!   I wasn't quite sure what to do for sentiment. I simply stamped the stripe from the Thoughtful Banners with Pumpkin Pie ink and then stamped Celebrate using the Basic Black Archival then adhered it with Metallic Black thread to the card using a Foam Adhesive strip! A few Basic Rhinestones to finish this little guy off and I was done!

Stamp Ink Paper 68 It's A Cardmakers Choice!

Hey there! I am sorry I am late! Sometimes life gets in the way of my creativity! Being an adult is over rated anyway!

Today I am designing with the Stamp Ink Paper Design Team! Did you see our we have a new guest designer? Ricky is pretty amazing so make sure you let him know how lucky we are to have him for this month!

We have a No Rules, Cardmakers Choice Challenge this week! So ink up some of your favorites and play along!

So after making my card last week using the Project Life Hello December 2016 goodies it got me to look at the rest of it! I have so far made about 7 cards and here is one of them! This card started with "Oh What Fun" Project Life card. The Emerald Envy and Real Red are an amazing combo for the holiday season and it seemed to be just the right card to break open my Cookie Cutter Bundle! THIS BUNDLE WAS NOT ON MY WISH LIST...but the more I had seen done with it the more I needed it! It is an addicting set! I stamped the Reindeer using Soft Suede Ink onto Tip Top Taupe. The Real Red stamped bow is adhered with a little piece of the Foam Adhesive Strip. They are both attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I matted this on to a lop sided piece of Real Red Card Stock with my Candy Cane Lane twine. I actually stumbled on this great Real Red striped paper from the Fruit Stand DSP. It seemed only right to matte this onto Real Red Cardstock with my Emerald Envy Card Base!

No Rules! Now Run!!! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
