Paper Craft Crew 213 Sketch Challenge

I am SOOOOO glad it is Wednesday! There is nothing like the feeling of having the week HALFWAY over! Or is that me being a pessimist?
My creativity is a little off with my lovely cold! I just love this weeks sketch for Paper Craft Crew! I think I may do it a few other ways now! I decided to do a lovely fall flower take on it I hope you will enjoy!

The card started with my 3 flowers from the set Grateful Bunch bundle that carried over from the Occasions catalog this spring! I stamped these in some nice regal colors Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry to give my card a nice Fall feeling. The DSP is from Serene Scenery and was the perfect combination with the base of Cherry Cobbler and matte of Tip Top Taupe! I made my loops with Linen Thread and used the Handheld Stapler to staple them onto the card. I adhered my flowers with Stampin' Dimensionals over my strip of Burlap Ribbon. My lovely sentiment is from a hostess set that is in the Annual Catalog that coordinates with the Bunch of Banners framelits!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you make for this weeks challenge!

Stamp Ink Paper 67 Sketch Challenge

Good Tuesday morning!! How are things? Mr. Tucker starts his recovery process today for his shoulder! All in all I think things went really well! Although because of lack of sleep and stress the cold that is going around has grabbed on to me!
This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have a fun sketch that our design team went in a number of directions with! I just can't wait to show you my card!

This card has NO STAMPING! Yes you read that right! Have you seen the new Project Life Hello December 2016 kit? The cards and accessory kit are AMAZING!! I really needed a quick card for this challenge as I haven't been feeling well. This simply came together so easy! The base of the card is Emerald Envy with a lovely matter in Real Red. I trimmed one of the larger cards to 3.75 x 5" and simply adhered it to my Real Red! My sentiment is also from this set! I matted it onto the Silver Foil Paper. Before adding this to the rest of my card I used the Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon with a quick little knot on the left and then adhered the sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals. The accessory kit has come cute little dots I added for a little bit of sparkle! How is that for a quick and easy Christmas card!
Have a great day!

Paper Craft Crew 212 Color Challenge

WOOHOO! It is Wednesday!! I can't believe we are already half way through the week! Who didn't love my Post it note holder yesterday?? I am not lying when I tell you that I cranked out about 6 more for craft fair season yesterday! I am going to do about 7 more... maybe they will get done today!
Back to today!
This week with the Paper Craft Crew our design team had to create a card using 3 of the 4 colors below! I kind of had a hard time... but I pulled up my big girl panties and once I got started the card soared right onto my card stock!

So lets be real. When was the last time that you have seen me use Emerald Envy, Night of Navy and Crushed Curry together?? I am going to go with NEVER!!  I toyed with several ideas. One of them being a nautical theme, which is how I ended up using the Swirly Bird Bundle! The seemed perfect in Crushed Curry and Night of Navy on the Whisper White card stock. I fussy cut this with my Paper Snips and set this aside so I could work on the rest of the card. There really is so much that can be done with Swirly Bird, like my grass! I used the stamp for the larger leaf with my Emerald Envy ink. I wanted the idea of a flowery, grassy meadow and that stamp made my grass! The cute little Crushed Curry flower seemed perfect. I adhered 3 of these with Dimensionals and 2 with Mini Glue Dots. Once I had this part done in my mind I needed a little something more at the top. Well kites fly in the sky... what better than clouds! I know, I know they are not from the Swirly Bird Bundle and neither was the sentiment. They are from the Weather Together Bundle. There are two sizes and I chose the bigger of them to stamp with the Night of Navy Ink along with the sentiment. I decided I wanted a couple to pop up so I stamped a few more to run through the Big Shot and adhered them to the card with Dimensionals. I then added the kite and its Night of Navy string! Now I wasn't quite sure what I was going to put this card on color wise. The Night of Navy DSP was perfect with the Emerald Envy card base. To finish this lovely card up I added some rhinestones to the flowers and the center of the kite!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see your creations for this weeks challenge!

Stamp Ink Paper 66 Anything but a Card

Good Morning! Sorry I am a little late with my post! Had a little incident that included me slipping and possibly mildly spraining my ankle chasing a kid! Never a dull moment in this house!
This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have fun challenge for you! We would like you to make ANYTHING but a card! You can see that our design team had all sorts of ideas but since I am getting ready for a craft fairs I figured I would master this great little Calendar/Post it note holder! Guess what it is even better?? I will give you quick instructions!!!

Get Details Here!

I have been eyeing these easel card type things for a few years and just never have bit the bullet to do one! I started with a sheet of 8.5 x 11 Mint Macaron card stock and trimmed to 4.25 x 11. You will want to the other piece shortly so don't set it put it away just yet. I used my Stampin' Trimmer to do all my cutting and scoring. I then scored on the long side at 2.75 and 5.5 inches. You will want to fold this into a mountain like the pic above. For your card or calendar front you will want to cut it at 4.25 x 5.5 inch. So easy right??? I used the Petals & Paisleys DSP from the Holiday catalog with a lovely Very Vanilla matte. The ribbon for my bow is 3/8" Ribbon Trio Pack that goes with the DSP. I finally had an opportunity to use my Gold Binder Clips to hold my little calendar on! The card front still needed something... so I used the Paisley Dies and cut out some quick Gold Foil pieces to finish the project off! You may recognize my gold pen... It was from a blog hop post the other day but it went so well with this!

Thank You! I have a full list of products below! Feel free to comment with questions! Have a great day!

Stampin' Friends Fall Blog Hop

It is the third Thursday of the month and we all know what that means!!! It is the Stampin Friends Blog Hop! Stampin Friends is a Facebook group that has about 7000 members that like share all of our paper crafty creations! Did you get here by way of Cindy Waldroff?? If so, Welcome! I am so glad you are here!

Cindy Waldroff
This month we have these three lovely ladies hopping with us...
Make sure you tour the whole hop and say an extra special "Hello" to them!
This month we are hopping with a Back to School or Fall Theme! I kind of rode the middle of the line! However, I used the color challenge from The Paper Players this week as inspiration!

Last week on my posts I was on a bit of a shaker craze! This week Ive tried to ween myself from doing so many! Fall cards are so hard for me sometimes. It isn't necessarily the colors or even the papers... They are just HARD! Justin had told me about the color combo on The Paper Players and it tripped a trigger! Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz! What can be more fall like than that?!

My card is a rich base of Cajun Craze with a great contrasting matte of Pear Pizzazz. The Regal Collection DSP in Crushed Curry worked just right with the feel of this card! I took the apple pattern from the Fruit Stand DSP and adhered it to a Pear Pizzazz matte on top of the Crushed Curry and then tied a nice knot with 5/8 inch Burlap Ribbon on the left. The Banners for You set save my butt!!!! I wasn't sure how I was going to pull the three colors together. I stamped the three layer banner using Crushed Curry ink. The sentiment also from the Banners for You in the top and very bottom were stamped in Cajun Craze ink. The nice little decorate center of the banner was stamped using Pear Pizzazz. That one stamp set made it easy to tie all three of my colors together!!

Last fall I made this cute little pumpkin. This year it is suppose to be an apple! Isn't this darling?? I stumbled on the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers and figured it was cute enough to do again!

Thank You so much for stopping to take a look! Don't forget our amazing giveaway! You must comment with #sfsepthop!! The great thing about this is that you if you comment on everyone's blog that is 15 entries into the giveaway!!

Paper Craft Crew 211 Sketch Challenge

Hey there and happy Wednesday! I will be glad when this week is over! It has been a humdinger and I keep telling myself that things will get better...

This week with Paper Craft Crew we have a fun little sketch that really had my juices flowing! I really could have gone in a lot of directions with this but this style kept speaking to me! Make sure you check out my product list, it will tell you everything I used!

Click here for full challenge details.

All I could think about was not your normal Christmas card. I mean how many Christmas cards do you see in Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Gold and Whisper White? I knew in my heart of hearts that I needed to use the Pop of Pink for this and it really came out jolly good! It started with a Melon Mambo base with Basic Black matter. The gold polka dot is from the Pop of Pink DSP as is all the papers used on this card! To resemble the star in the sketch I did a heat embossed gold tree using the Stampin' Emboss Gold powder onto the Basic Black Card stock. The tree is from the set Peaceful Pines. My fun Gold Foil sentiment is from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits. For my loops under my banners I used the my favorite gold metallic thread! To finish this great card off I added 3 Basic Rhinestones around the tree!

Thank You so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see what ideas pop into your head for this
challenge!

Stamp Ink Paper 65 Monochromatic Challenge

Hey there and Happy Tuesday!! Can't believe we are almost half way through the month of September already! I am so ready to wear big sweaters and infinity scarfs! I know I will probably be kicking myself for typing that. Anyway, we are suppose to have a nice cool day today and I am planning on making Chicken and Dumplings!!

This week on the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge we have a great Monochromatic challenge for you!
It is really fun to take one color and run with! Come take a look at mine...

Okay my goal this week is to NOT do a shaker...but when was the last time I did a really cute baby card?? I chose three colors for this monochromatic challenge Watermelon Wonder, Flirty Flamingo and Blushing Bride. Who knew that these three colors would work together as the Three Musketeers do. This cute baby card started with a base of Watermelon Wonder. I then matted the Flirty Flamingo DSP onto the Blushing Bride Card Stock and set this aside. The cute little baby themed stamps are from the set Something For Baby. When I purchased this set it came as a bundle with the Baby's First Framelits. The cute little buggy popped up with a Stampin' Dimensional is stamped in Flirty Flamingo Ink and then embellished with Basic Pearls and Clear Wink of Stella. I tucked the Blushing Bride onesie behind the buggy. The adorable flower and hanger were both stamped using Watermelon Wonder ink! I even popped the flower up using a Stampin' Dimensional and added a pearl center! I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with all the baby goodies. I had a pile of embellishments that I hadn't put away yet and the doilies screamed my name! I adhered the baby items with glue dots to the doily then tied a lovely Blushing Bride bow around the card front! Once I perfected the bow I adhered the doily! The great sentiment stamped in Flirty Flamingo was so perfect, it is from the Suite Sayings set!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you use for your monochromatic card!

OSAT Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Happy Thursday!! This is the 3rd post I have done in 24 hours!! HOLY MOLY!!!! We are back again with the OSAT Blog Hop!! This month our theme is a Birthday Bash! Did you come by way of Dena Rekow? If so and welcome!

After having not one but two shaker card posts yesterday you can imagine that my goal was to NOT do a shaker card! When brainstorming for this month I could have either been really predictable or surprise myself. Well guess what... it was the latter of the two! When was the last time you have seen me A. Sponge and B. Emboss Resist?! Um Never!!!!!!!! I am going to warn you there are 4 pictures but it is because I wanted to be sure you got see all the lovely details!!!

Okay so my color combo happened by happenstance! It absolutely oozes femininity. So I had started sponging with Flirty Flamingo ink onto the Irresistibly Floral Specialty DSP! You can ink this great paper up with what ever colors you choose. As I stated before I started with the Flirty Flamingo, then moved to Peekaboo Peach. I knew I wanted to transition to a yellow or gold to finish! I chose Delightful Dijon. I wasn't sure it was a good decision but the end product was pretty fabulous! After finishing the sponging I wrapped the 3/8 inch Ruched Flirty Flamingo ribbon around the floral resist paper. I adhered this to a matte of Flirty Flamingo and set it aside. I wanted a sweet little birthday sentiment... Birthday Blooms had the sweetest little sentiment for this card! I stamped it in Flirty Flamingo ink onto Whisper White then adhered it to a Peekaboo Peach matte! My big loopy bow and pearl embellishments were just what I needed to finish this card off!
What girl does not like a purse for her birthday?! I made this great little hand bag complete with a cute little note book and Gold Glitter pen! I really didn't have any DSP to fit the purse or go with the colors. I inked up my Paisley & Posies set with Versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder! I then began sponging using the Flirty Flaming and Peekaboo Peach inks! The great tag on my handbag is from the Here's To Cheers bundle available in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog!

Here is a few more pictures of the purse!! This tag bundle really is to die for!!

Here is the great little note book that goes in the paper purse!

Thank You so much for hopping by! Next on the hop is Kelly Acheson! You can get to her by clicking the next button below. If you get lost on the hop there is a whole list of our hoppers at the bottom! Have a great Thursday!

    ICS Blog Hop Technique Time

It is the first Wednesday of the month! We all know what that means. It is time for me to Inspire, Create and Share some fabulous creations using Stampin' Up! products with a bunch of my Stampin' Up! friends!
This month we have a Technique Hop and I am showcasing the Shaker Card technique! We all know I love my shaker cards! If you follow my blog this is my second post today... It is also my second shaker card! What does that tell you?
Justin Krieger is responsible for the shaker card monster I am today.. it is true!! He took the time to show me how to create a shaker via one of our FaceTime chats. When I make a shaker I try to make it the feature of my card. The Merriest Wishes bundle is PERFECT for a shaker. I had seen a card with a similar idea but I knew I wanted to take it to a WHOLE other planet!

This idea has been festering in my head ALL WEEKEND LONG... and it was a long weekend. First thing is first, I actually die cut the Softly Falling embossed Whisper White panel. The letters J and Y are from the Large Letters Framelits. I set them on the Magnetic Platform with the die from the Merry Tag Framelits set. I got them set just right by using a ruler to make sure that they were level. Once running them through the Big Shot I got down to business. Here is a common mistake when adhering your Window Sheets, don't use glue!! Glue hardens and once it hardens your window panel can separate. We don't want that! I like to use Tear & Tape. I simply run it along the openings/windows of my shaker. This can be tedious!! I then use my bone folder to make sure my Window Sheet is good and stuck! On this card I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to do the shaker bits. Each window had its own shaker area... so in other words there are 3 different shaker elements on this card. Foam Adhesive Strips.... YOU NEED THESE! They are better than foam mounting tape!! They are skinny strips with just the right thickness of foam to give you room to shake away! I usually try to get as close to the edge of all of windows! The Foam Adhesive strips are 2 sided much like a Stampin' Dimensional, so once I had my 3 shaker "wells" done, I started adding my Fancy Frost sequins! I also had some snow like stuff to mix in as well. This sequin mix is where my colors came from! Soft Sky and Sweet Sugar Plum make such a fun color combo for Christmas! I like to use something simple for the background of my shaker! The polka dot pattern from the Subtle DSP stack was spot on so I adhered it to the Foam Adhesive strips. Now that the shaker element was finished I just needed to get my Merry Tag adhered to the front! Isn't that ornament the cutest? I actually heat embossed silver twice to make it look like metal! The card front was adhered to the Soft Sky matte using the foam adhesive strips and then adhered to the Sweet Sugar Plum card base. I added a few sequins and a strand of the metallic thread to finish my card off! PHEW!!!! Are you tired or inspired?? If you have questions feel free to email me or hunt me down on Facebook!

Now for Megan Thompson! She has a spooky technique to show you!

Paper Craft Crew 210 Sketch Challenge

Happy Wednesday! We are socked in with fog this morning! The weather guy told me yesterday that he thinks our severe weather season is over. Which is okay I guess but I don't get the pictures like the one I shared with you yesterday very much.

I am going to call today Shaker Card Wednesday! Today is one of the only days where I end up posting twice... so stay tuned this evening!

This week with Paper Craft Crew we have a sketch that was rather daunting to look at. It really had a lot of elements to try to represent! Challenge accepted though and I just love this little card!
Click Here for full Challenge Details

First let me say that this paper is so much fun! I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do initially... I actually made my candy jar first using the Jar of Love Bundle with a Crumb Cake jar using Early Espresso ink. I always adhere my window panel on a shaker with Tear N Tape. The Foam Adhesive strips are a God send when it comes to doing shakers. They are just the right thickness so that all of your bits shake really well! My candy in jar is about 5 Real Red stamped peppermints from the Jar of Cheer set that have been punched using a 1/2 inch Circle Punch! I had some loose seed beads to put into my shaker along with some sequins. When I made this card I had received my second holiday catalog order yet, I used the metallic red thread at the top of the jar! If my I had been smart, I should have used the Candy Cane Lane Bakers Twine. The jar is adhered to a circle with a cute little tag coming off the right with "Tis the Season" heat embossed in white. This cute sentiment is from the Peaceful Pines set in the Annual Catalog. Once I had this part figured out the Large Polka Dot TIEF seemed to be the folder that spoke to me! There was still that twine bow with banner at top and I wasn't sure how to nail it! Well, I think I did! I simply fussy cut the mittens from the DSP and adhered them to the thick white bakers twine with glue dots and dimensionals! Now that I had that figured out I adhered the Real Red Large Dots to the Early Espresso....BOOM!
It really is a great little card!

    Thank You for stopping by!

Stamp Ink Paper 64 CAS Less is More Challenge

Hey there and happy Tuesday! We had a relaxing weekend here at home... although Friday night provided us with some drama...there were tornado warnings just to the north of us. It made for some amazing cloud structure. Weather photos and clouds are kind of a hobby of mine... I think I get my photo eye from my dad. We were lucky that this cell only gave us amazing pictures!!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have a great Clean and Simple challenge! It really is the perfect challenge to introduce our guest designer for this month Jennifer Timko! She is quite the Queen of clean!!! Make sure you stop by her blog and tell her hello!

Clean and Simple really isn't an aesthetic I utilize enough. I mean, some cards just don't need all the bells and whistles! I kind of struggled with an idea until my AHA moment this morning! I usually start my mornings off with a cup of coffee and a FaceTime call to Justin! That usually gets the juices flowing as it did this morning. I have been trying to push myself to use colors that I haven't used recently. I am not sure why Dapper Denim hasn't been used! It is a great blue for ANYTHING. It also coordinates with the By The Shore DSP! I always purchase a share of ALL the DSP in the catalog from another demo just to see what papers I am going to love... I must say that I am surprised to say that this is a great suite! Now, I don't know that I will go all in and buy the stamp set too... The paper is amazing and is also how I created my fish! I fussy cut one of each color out of the DSP. I then proceeded in doing 2 coats of heat embossed clear to give them an epoxy embellishment look  and set them aside. I've loved the Layering Love set since the first time I have seen it and much like the Dapper Denim it hasn't been used!! The fonts in this set are really fun and I couldn't wait to ink up my sentiment with my Dapper Denim ink! You'll notice that my Very Vanilla card stock is matted onto  an ombre like wave pattern! This is also from the By The Shore DSP! I adhered my fish with half a dimensional each and tied a nice crisp bow in the Dapper Denim 3/8" Ruched Ribbon!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I have made a list at the bottom of all the products used to make this card! All products are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted!
