Paper Craft Crew 209 Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Happy Hump day!! Can't believe we are half through the week already!!
Funny story... Justin Krieger and I do a lot of card designing on FaceTime... So today while on FaceTime I had this not so brilliant idea to use glitter with heat and stick... Well it wasn't a good idea after all and well, the glitter spilled all over my legs that were in shorts... Yay for me!!!

This week with The Paper Craft Crew we have a really fun Tic Tac Toe and I went straight down the center from top to bottom with Dots, Any Blue and Staples!

I wasn't quite sure how I was going to pull this weeks challenge off... I mean, the ocean shaker a few weeks ago would have been a great card for this challenge... I gathered the papers that I thought were blue and narrowed it down one by one! We all know that the Serene Scenery stack is amazing and can make a simple card really fabulous! I matted the wood pattern from the stack onto Soft Suede card stock then adhered it to the Pool Party Base. It coordinated with the grooves of the wood. My lovely copper flower was made by die cutting the shape out twice, adhering the die cuts with spray adhesive and then inking up the top layer with Versamark to heat emboss it with the Copper embossing powder! I kind of did the same thing with the "Love" sentiment from Sunshine Wishes... Although I let some of the Copper Foil peak out the edges. The ribbon was stapled into pleats, tied a cute linen thread bow and added some great dew drops and this card was done! No cats game for this girl!!!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see how you make your 3 in a row!

Stamp Ink Paper 63 Wonderful Wings Challenge

Good Tuesday morning! Sorry my post is a little late! I got stuck in homework, dinner and domestic goddess land last night! Totally spaced typing up my post!!

This week at Stamp Ink Paper we have a fabulous challenge that shouldn't be hard for anyone! It is a Wonderful Wings challenge! Sadly, it is Amy Koenders last week with us! I can't wait for you to see who the guest designer is for September!!!

So let me tell you something.... This was not my original card! Go ahead laugh! I had started and spent HOURS on another card! I didn't love it, and frankly I thought that there was going to be SOOOOOO many butterflies in this challenge, I needed to mix it up! This card uses 4 stamp sets! Ghoulish Grunge, Timeless Textures, Touches of Texture and Awesomely Artistic! I even used Rose Red and that is branching out for me! The metallic gold is Heidi Swapp  gold color shine to add some sparkle as well as the gold heat embossed dragon fly on my Gina Marie Stitched Circle! The "Shine" sentiment is from the Sunshine Wishes thinlits. I simply trimmed the Sunshine die cut! For my final touch I used some Pretty Pink Posh sequins!

Thank You so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see your Wonderful Wings card!

Can You Case It Pet Card Challenge

So excited to participate this week with Eva and the Can You Case It challenge!
I have been waiting sooooo long to use this Phyllis Harris set!
This gave me a great excuse to color and get inky!!

I can't lie! This card is not my norm.... I am not a colorer!! Well, I am just not when it comes to cards! I measured the image from "We Just Need Someone" stamp set and decided to fit it on a square. This set is designed by the amazing Phyllis Harris and created by Unity Stamp Co.
I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black then used my Prismacolor Pencils to color the image. I used my stitched squares from Gina Marie to cut this cute image out! I adhered it to a piece of Echo Park Homegrown Paper with a cute wood banner! The sentiment is from another Phyllis Harris set... However, I only inked the "True friends listen from the" and used the wood heart to replace the heart!
Cute, Colorful and Clever!!

Thank You for stopping by!

Paper Craft Crew 208 Sketch Challenge

Good Morning! Happy Wednesday! It is officially T-Minus 24 hours til the Tucker kids are back in school!! Troy and I went to Back To School Night with our oldest last night. It will be his first year in middle school and I think he is a little nervous!

This week with Paper Craft Crew we have a fun little sketch! I just couldn't wait to use my new goodies from The Stamp Ink Paper Store! Justin was kind enough to take me on a Facetime tour of product! Well, Reverse Confetti won me over and this coffee set it is just adorable!

My Card started with a Basic Black base and a Real Red matte... I still used Stampin' Up! Cardstock and Ink to make my card. My cute paper is from the American Crafts Hot Cocoa collection and although it was a little wintery it spoke to me! My cute sentiment is all one stamp that I trimmed up to go with the sketch. This was stamped in Real Red ink onto Whisper White card stock. My tag is from a pack I acquired a while back and to me fit the genre of the card. My fab little coffee mug was stamped in Soft Suede ink and the little polka dots were stamped in Real Red. The Reverse Confetti Caffeinated Cups stamps are photopolymer so it was really easy to create my cup and then die cut it! I finished this with some cute red metallic thread...

Thank you so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you come up with for this sketch!

Stamp Ink Paper 62 Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday to you all!! My countdown until school starts has dwindled down to 2 days and my best friend Amy leaves today... Bittersweet to think about, I know I will shed some tears! The oldest Tucker child has back to school night tonight so I am sure I will just be distracted by the daily grind!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have a fabulous sketch and when you see my card you will know it probably came together really fast!

I knew when I saw this sketch and received my pre-order that I was going to try to interpret it pretty literally. I just love the new Fancy Frost sequin mix in the holiday catalog! That's right I said Stampin' Up! has a great sequin mix! I hope to see this trend continue... We all know I love my sequins! So when choosing my colors I focused around the color of the sequins, Soft Sky and Sweet Sugar Plum! I wasn't sure that the Sweet Sugar Plum was going to be a color I was interested in even though I had bought the In Colors when they debuted, but my mind has changed! The base of the card is Sweet Sugar Plum with a matte of Soft Sky. The Whisper White layer is stamped using the stars from Be Jolly, By Golly with Soft Sky Ink! I stamped the Be Joyful sentiment from the Merriest Wishes bundle seemed to be just the fit! This bundle is amazing with 7 fabulous dies to make some really cute tags like the one at the bottom! I simply used the Fancy Frost sequin mix with Sweet Sugar Plum envelope paper as my backing! The Silver Metallic Thread seemed to fit the whole mojo of the card!

Thanks for taking a peek at my Stamp Ink Paper this week! I can't wait to see how you interpret this sketch!

Stampin' Friends Hope Blog Hop

Siara
Happy Thursday!! I am hopping along today with all my friends from the Stampin Friends Facebook group. Our theme this month is "Hope".  Did you come by way of Siara?? She always makes such beautiful stuff!

We have some super fabulous guest designers
Maureen Rauchfuss
Angela Lorenz
Kim Lamos
Make sure you stop by their blogs and make them feel welcome!
So I am sure like many of you, I have received my pre-order!!! This set has got to be one of my favorites!

My card and cup started with a rich base of Night of Navy. I've matted my paisley stamped Very Vanilla with Rich Razzleberry to coordinate with the Petals & Paisleys DSP! I just can't get enough of this Paisleys & Posies stamp set. I've used various stamps from the set using Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry and Cajun Craze inks to create my own DSP like pattern. I used the small copper dot paper to cut a stitched circle to adhere my sentiment and copper thread!
The cute cup was made using a tutorial on Pinterest and could really hold a lot!!!

Paper Craft Crew 207 Sketch Challenge

Happy Wednesday to you all! If you are on the west coast you get to see my card a little earlier!
I am up late tonight waiting for my dear friend to get here! I am so super excited to see her!

Week after week The Paper Craft Crew continues to have amazing sketches! It took me almost 5 hours to collect my thoughts to get my card together but I hope you like what I have come up with!

    Click For Challenge Details

This lovely card started with a base of Beemuda Bay with a coordinating matte using the Serene Scenery DSP. The Crumb Cake layer was embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder. However, I flipped it over so it looked like sand. My great little "window" to the beach was created using Gina Marie's Dies. The beach paper also came from the Serene Scenery DSP. I wanted my shaker to look like sand and shells. I used some of the snow like shaker bits and some sand colored sequins... The Missing You sentiment came from the set Thoughtful Banners. The Burlap ribbon, And Bermuda Bay Sequins were stapled on. It wasn't quite enough so I found a Bermuda Bay button and did a quick linen thread bow!!
    Thanks Fir stopping in!

Stamp Ink Paper 61 Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Good Morning! Rise and Shine it is Tuesday! 9 Days til school starts and we all survived Monday! We here at the Tucker house had fun filled weekend in Denver courtesy of Troy's place of employment! We went to Elitch Gardens and ran the kids ragged on rides... But I think we ran ourselves ragged in the process as well!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have a really fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge and I can't wait to show you what I made but going across the top Green, Sequins and Flowers!

    Click for Details

I must say that I really could have done a lot of with the above Tic Tac Toe but I am really trying to go outside of my comfort zone lately and it was time for a NON shaker card! The Swirly Bird Bundle seems to be one of the more popular sets out of the annual catalog! I know that i had used the dies before but the stamp set had yet to be inked up! My inspiration for color is the Perfectly Wrapped packaging kit! I just love the colors in that set so I ran with it! Now I know you are saying "Where are the flowers". To me, the swirls are abstract flowers... I suppose I could have added leaves but I liked things the way they were! I started with Peakaboo Peach flowers, then used the Emerald Envy. The Basic Black seems the most abstract to me and I finished it with some Gold Foil die cuts using the Scribble Dies that are in this bundle. My "Happy Day" sentiment is from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set. It is stamped over the Peakaboo Peach "splatters" from the Swirly Bird set! To finish this card off I stapled the Gold Sequins with the Emerald Envy ribbon!!
Thank you so much for stopping in!

OSAT Blog Hoppers Dog Days of Summer

Hey there and good Thursday to you! It is the second Thursday of the month!!! That's where you can find me and 18 members of One Stamp At A Time Cards & More Facebook group doing a fabulous blog hop! Did you get to by way of Dena and her Creativity Cave? If so, Welcome!! This month we have some very special guest designers Rick Adkins and Tracy Elsom! Make sure you pop over to their blogs to see that amazing creations they have made to inspire you!

Those of you who are members of the One Stamp At A Time group know that we will be bringing back GAMES!! With Games comes prizes! So games will be back on Wednesday @ 5 PM Mountain Time!

We are hopping with the theme "Dog Days of Summer".... Not a well thought out theme on my part since I am the one that comes up with this stuff LOL! However each of our hoppers has created something summer like for you and I hope you feel inspired! I can't wait to show you mine!

My Summer Card and Mini Treat Bag Picnic Place Setting

First let me start off with when have you EVER seen me do a YELLOW card??? Let's go with almost NEVER! But I LOVE IT!!! Let me get you the details...
The card base started with a base of Daffodil Delight. I really didn't have any options because I already knew that I was going to use the lemon and coordinating dot papers from the Fruit Stand DSP! My matte is Crushed Curry. It seemed to be the most monochromatic with the Daffodil Delight. I chose the lemons as my paper and adhered my layers with a strip of the retired White Jute Ribbon! What better on a hot summer day than a glass of ice cold lemonade!! My glass is made using our great new bundle Jar of Love! I used the dies to cut the background of my shaker background, Acetate and frame! The frame is made of Daffodil Delight card stock, stamped in Versamark ink and the heat embossed with Stampin' Emboss White! Once all the components for my shaker was made I sprinkled some small dew drops, Marshmallow sequins and Sparkly Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh! Don't you think it looks like ice? Once I got this put together with the Foam Strips I cut about a 1/4" slit (where you can't see it) to stick my straw into. I bet you are wondering how I made my straw.... It's the stripe heat embossed in white from Butterfly Basics... I know! Clever, Right? To finish this great little beverage off I wrapped some Linen Thread around the top with a tag from the Tags and Labels Framelits. The sentiment on the tag is also from the Jar of Love set. Wouldn't you know that I just so happen to have some Crushed Curry embossing powder left!! So I heat embossed the sentiment and added a few little enamel dots and the slice of lemon... Wait it is about to get better!

I knew as soon as I finished the card what I wanted for a project! My picnic place setting seemed to fit the theme! Complete with plasticware and a napkin this Mini Treat bag made in Daffodil Delight DSP is SO adorable!  I folded down the front and added a piece of corrugated kraft under the edge. I took the time to fussy cut the lemons, adhered the dew drops with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and then the slice. Can you see the Clear Wink of Stella on the slice of lemon? It was also used on the "Enjoy" from the Mini Treat Bag die set! I wasn't quite sure how to make it all work but once I found the Pear Pizzazz DSP I used the Tags and Labels Framelits again and cut out the polka dot tag, adhered the lemons to the top, and adhered the sentiment towards the bottom. I dotted the "j" with an enamel dot. To finish this tag I wrapped the Linen Thread around the bag and tied a quick bow in the center of the lemon!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure you tour the WHOLE hop! I may be asking questions on Wednesday about this hop!!

Paper Craft Crew #206 DSP Challenge

Welcome Back!! It's Wednesday and we are almost over the hump!! It's been a busy week!We are getting ready for our annual company trip and company coming to town Monday! Although none of that mattered when I got my pre-order of new goodies from Stampin' Up!

I was so excited that even used some of  the new DSP for my design team card today for The Paper Craft Crew! I really love that the only challenge to this was using DSP... Which, if you ask Pam Staples I was over thinking of course!

My fun friendship card started with a base of Crumb Cake. I knew I wanted to use my stitched rectangles for this card. I used three different sizes starting with the Cherry Cobbler layer. This DSP is called Warmth & Cheer... This is a fabulous stack! There are a lot of Christmas type patterns but with the plaids and sweater type designs you can also use this stack for your masculine cards!! I wrapped the Linen Thread around my layers before putting the final layer on! After making this I probable should have embossed the star... My Banners For You Bundle had yet to be used! I know that I had used the dies... Just not the stamp set! I stamped the banner in Crumb Cake and the sentiment in Basic Black to coordinate with the stars! My final touch was so fun enamel dots and my Linen Thread Bow!!!

Thank you so much for stopping in! I can't wait to see what you make with this DSP Challenge!

Stamp Ink Paper 60 Color Challenge

Happy Tuesday to you all!! Our summer is winding down with our county fair almost over and school right around the corner. Our annual company get away is this weekend and the kids can't wait to go to Elitch Gardens!!

This week with Stamp Ink Paper we have a nice purple challenge! You will notice that we are not using Stampin' Up! color names. This is because we do not want you as participants to feel confined to using only Stampin' Up! product.

Did you notice some of us have gotten our pre-orders?? It looks like Amy Koenders and I have great minds and couldn't wait to bust open our new Paisley set!

My card started with a regal base of Elegant Eggplant! I then used my Stitched Rectangles from Gina Marie Designs to cut the Smoky Slate and Whisper White Layers. The Whisper White layer is stamped using the Paisleys & Posies Photopolymer stamp set in Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder and Smoky Slate! I added some sequins to give it a little whimsy! The Elegant Eggplant sentiment is on a 3/4 Inch strip punched at both ends with the Banner Triple Punch. This was a really funny and simple card to make! I can't wait to show you the rest of my NEW goodies!

    Thank You for stopping by!

    ICS Blg Hop Fabulous Framelits

So excited to back in my groove designing cards and hopping with my ICS friends! If you came by way of Megan Thompson! Welcome! I just loved her creation!

This month we are featuring Stampin' Up! Fabulous Framelits!!! There are soooo many fabulous Framelits in the Annual Catalog, just wait until see the Holiday Catalog!!! Drool CITY!!!
Enough about that! Let me get to the details of my card!

So my card is featuring the Umbrella Weather Framelits and Weather Together stamp set! This set can be purchased as a bundle and it was honestly one of the first sets I ordered when the whole catalog went live! I knew as soon as I saw this set that an abnormal quantity of shaker cards were in my future! I used both cloud framelits to cut out my windows for the shaker! I had extra shaker goodies from the shaker kits from the last holiday catalog! The DSP is from A Little Foxy 6 x 6 DSP stack! I accented this Smoky Slate card with the color Pool Party. The heat embossed white on Pool Party Umbrella and Smoky Slate handle are from Weather Together ! My cute Pool Party stamped banner is from the Thoughtful Banners bundle although the actual Smoky Slate sentiment is from the Weather Together set! What is an Andrea card with a few little white sequins and popped up clouds?!

Thank You so much for stopping in! I hope I have inspired you now that I have created and shared!I am also entering this in the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge 154! I can't wait for you to see what Darla has come up with! You can tour the whole hop by clicking the next button!!

    Have a fabulous day!

Paper Craft Crew 205 Sketch Challenge

Hello!! To some of you it is still Tuesday but for some it is the wee hours of Wednesday morning!
I spent all Tuesday afternoon with the horse shoer... Hooray for Pony Pedi's! All are now rip roaring and ready to go!

Today I am designing for the Paper Craft Crew! I just love that we do so many sketch challenges!! It keeps me constantly thinking outside of my box! I really didn't take this sketch literally... But the card is SOOOO fun and I can't wait to show you!

Who isn't addicted to the colors in the Pop of Pink DSP?! I started with a base of Basic Black Card Stock! I did a Melon Mambo Stitched Rectangle using the Gina Marie Dies! The Confetti paper is from the Pop of Pink DSP this too was cut with the Gina Marie stitched rectangles! I wasn't quite sure what to do for the circle of the sketch! DUH!!! Shaker here I come!! I took the Gold Foil Paper and used the Scallop Circle Stitched Frame from Gina Marie! I then adhered the acetate to create my window for the shaker! I have a great little shaker that I scored at Michaels that had the black and gold sequins in it! Once I had the foam strips around the circle I adhered the confetti back ground! I like to use Tear n Tape or Scor Tape to adhere my shakers to the card... This way I know it isn't going to come off! The stitched Black and White stripe drop banner was going to be perfect! My cute little candle with my awesome sentiment comes from the Birthday Banners set! This set also coordinates with the Bunch of Banners Framelits! For the final touch I added the Gold Sequin trim to the top!
POW! This card is amazing in person!

Can't wait to see you participate this week!

Stamp Ink Paper 59 It's a Punny Funny Challenge!!!

Hey there! Happy Tuesday!! The First Day of school countdown has begun! 23 DAYS!!! Wooty Woot!!! Today was the first day ALL summer where I didn't have to be ANYWHERE!! So excited to stay in my craft room and get all my obligated cards done! There are some really cute cards coming up this week so make sure you stay tuned!

This week at Stamp, Ink, Paper we have a somewhat of a theme challenge!
We want you to make a card that would make someone laugh!!
I can't wait to show you what I have made!!!

So I had to dig through my stash so I could decide what Unity Stamp set I could use for this challenge... I have quite a few of their witty stamps! This one spoke to me! It is called So Much Cooler!! I stamped the cooler in Melon Mambo Ink then re-did the lid using Basic Black and fussy cut it! I added some White Wink of Stella to the lid just to give some umph! The sand on the bottom of the card was made using Sahara Sand ink and the Timeless Textures set from Stampin' Up! The sentiment, also from the So Much Cooler set was stamped using Basic Black ink! I layered this over a cute piece of Cork looking paper at an angle and adhered the sequins! POW!!! Done!

I can't wait to see what you come up with! Since You are so much cooler than me!
