Paper Craft Crew 201 Sketch Challenge

Hey there and good hump day to you!! We had a a scary storm that sent us all running for the closet last night and if you read this before I had internet back, well it was short and sweet! The kids and I are starting to prep for our incoming guests today. Troy had to leave for work at 5 so I had time this morning to fix my post and drink coffee while listening to the birds!

Today I am designing with The Paper Craft Crew!
This week we have another fabulous sketch!! Keep in mind we have two weeks this time so I expect ALL of you to play along! I can't wait to show you what I've done!

Click Here for Full Challenge Details!

This cute little card starts with an A2 base lending of Smoky Slate with a lovely matte of Calypso Coral. The DSP is a 6 x 6 stack in the new catalog called A Little Foxy! The great little chevron pattern at the top was created using Work of Art and Calypso Coral ink. I doubled up some White Bakers Twine and looped it over the stamped pattern. My cute little stars of Pool Party and Silver Glimmer Paper were created using our Medium Star Punch! Now for the exciting part... I have two of the new alphabet sets in the new catalog! I made the "Howdy!" sentiment!!! Brushwork Alphabet just may be one of my new favorites! It really put the Haw in Yee-Haw when I knew I could turn this some what drab western inspired card to fab in the refreshing Pool Party ink!

Now that I have shown you my great creation, I can't wait for you to show us yours!!
Remember you have two weeks!
Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Stamp Ink Paper 54 Color Challenge

Hello and happy Tuesday! We are so glad  you are joining us this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper!! Summer is in full swing and the boys are now out of summer school! The weather has been hot and humid here which has led to thunderstorms but no tornadoes! Today the boys get to go to a fun math camp and Taryn is off to swim lessons then back home to clean! Sounds fun right? We have family and friends coming in next week so the house is going to turn into "Hotel De Tucker"... Did I mention my new barn is on its way as well??? So it can tornado all it want's till it gets here right?

We have a super summertime color challenge for you that the lovely Sandy Mathis has created! Makes me think of a yummy fruit stand with fresh fruits!

My card started with a cheerful base of Daffodil Delight card stock. I did a matte in Tangerine Tango and adhered the Fruit Stand DSP at an angle. It's my first time designing a card with this kind of layout other than maybe a sketch challenge or two. The 5/8 in. Burlap Ribbon seemed to add to the farmers market feel. The heat embossed Crushed Curry sentiment from Watercolor Words on my Gina Marie stitched circle seemed to be just the right touch. I added a quick little burlap banner, and an Old Olive button complete with a linen thread
 bow to finish it off!!!

You are all the best!! I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Paper Craft Crew 200 Sketch Challenge

Happy Hump Day to those of you seeing this on Wednesday! First let me take a minute to tell you that it was HOT here Tuesday! Not just a little hot, like 106 HOT! The kids and I decided that without our central air working that we would brave the masses (I thought it would have been more crowded) at the pool!

Today I am posting with the Paper Craft Crew design team! We have a really fabulous sketch for you to have fun with!

This card started with the some 6 x 6 DSP called Pop of Pink! This DSP is AMAZING! Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Whisper White and Gold!! What more could a girl want from a DSP?? My base of this card is Melon Mambo! The Gold Sprinkled DSP is from the Pop of Pink pack as well as the angled fancy layer. I wanted to break up some of the pink so I used Basic Black to matte my Heidi Swap Gold shimmer sprayed Whisper White. The fancy gold and black metallic thread made some fabulous loops on top of my gold metallic washi. The "Hooray" sentiment is from the Confetti Celebrations set. I stamped this using our Archival Basic Black ink onto a Gina Marie stitched circle and adhered it to my gold foil star!  Instead of the button in the sketch I opted for some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in Onyx, Strawberry Burst and Gold!

This is an amazing sketch with tons of possibilities and I can't wait to see what your take on it is!!

Paper Craft Crew 199 Card Sketch

Hey there! It is a Wednesday... Are you shocked yet? I know I don't normally post on a Wednesday but I am so excited to announce that I am now on the Paper Craft Crew Design Team!! I am really excited about this and I am so glad to be a part of such a creative team!

This week we have an adorable sketch that Pam Staples has designed for us. It really got my creative mojo working for me again! When we (SU Demonstrators) got to see the new Stampin' Up! Catalog for the first time I had to have this set and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it first! I will get you the details below!

I have to say that I have had this umbrella shaker card idea in my head since we demo's could see the catalog! So it has been brewing for a long while! The Weathered Together bundle was honestly one of the first sets on my list to get... I mean it is a REALLY long list but I kind of knew what other people were chomping at the bit to buy and this cute little set was never mentioned...

My card base of Island Indigo is nicely matted with Crumb Cake card stock. My Whisper White layer was die cut using the Umbrella Weather Framelits Dies. I used the umbrella shape to cut out my window for my shaker card. I adhered the acetate with 1/8 inch Score tape and then used our new Foam Adhesive Strips to create the shaker part. The shaker mix is made with a lovely mix of Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and Seed Beads! The backing is the from the Serene Scenery DSP Stack. The elegant sentiment is also from the Weather Together set. I simply stamped this before created my shaker with Island Indigo. What's an umbrella without the handle?? You need a handle! Crumb Cake ink to the rescue on my little handle stamp and Voila!  The coordinating cloud was stamped using Pool Party ink and die cut with the above coordinating die set. To finish this card I used a quick trim of linen thread and cute little burlap banner! OOPS! Did mention a few more sequins???

Thank You so much for stopping by today!!! I can't wait to see what you all make with this weeks sketch!

So when you are done looking at my Grandma's 100th Birthday Card, make sure you click on the next button at the bottom that way you can see what we all made with out rules!

Yes! My Grandma Tracy is turning 100 on Friday!! Can you believe it? She is an amazing woman with wonderful stories. Her favorite color is purple so of course her card was going to be as well! It started with a base of Elegant Eggplant with a soft matte of Smokey Slate! I stamped the lace trim from Grateful Bunch using Wisteria Wonder on the left and tied a nice silver knot. The lovely leaf pattern is from Grateful Bunch as well. These were stamped in Smokey Slate ink to create a background for my Large Number Framelit cut glitter numbers! I scattered the Elegant Eggplant stamped flowers around the card using glue dots to adhere them. The sentiment and banner are from the set Birthday Banners that coordinate with the Bunch of Banners Framelits. The banner was stamped using Wisteria Wonder ink and the sentiment was stamped with Elegant Eggplant... What's a birthday without some bling! I finished this fun but fancy card with some assorted Pretty Pink Posh sequins!

Now it is your turn!! What will you make with no rules?? Need some more inspiration? Well I can't wait to show you what my amazing friend Dena has made! Just click the NEXT button below!!!

OSAT June Summer Lovin Blog Hop

Holy Moly! The second Thursday of the month already?! It totally creeped up on me!
With that being said, Welcome to this months One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! If you came by way of the amazingly talented Kelly Acheson welcome!
This month our theme is "Summer Lovin". Many of us have been feverishly waiting for the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog to go live and well you guessed it, It DID! So a lot of what you may see through this months hop will be new to you!
So with all of my genius ideas this months theme was my idea... Then on Monday when I go to work on it, STUMPED... But I think it is fun pairing and I can't wait to tell you about it!

So my creations started with Playful Palette 6 x 6 DSP Stack! I honestly made fun of this stack when I first saw it and said "New Kids On The Block Called, They want their paper back." I honestly have to say that once I started using it is was great stack to play with! My card base is Sweet Sugarplum card stock with a cheerful matte of Peekabo Peach. I can't stay away from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits! I cut the sentiment out of the Sweet Sugarplum to coordinate with base of the card. The heart was cut out of the Blushing Bride glimmer paper. I used spray adhesive for the scribble part then used Stampin' Dimensionals to use the center! I adhered a few sequins and added some Wink of Stella to the "love" so that not just the heart was sparkly! There's a better picture below.
I went ahead and a did a cute little Mini Treat Bag using DSP from the same stack! I must confess that the stitched circle I stamped Hooray from Confetti Celebrations on is not Stampin' Up! Behind it you'll find I did the Black Metallic thread loops with a coordinating DSP banner. I completed this fab little bag with Sweet Sugarplum touched ribbon!

Thank you all so much for stopping by!! Make sure you tour the WHOLE hop!!! Next is my partner in crime Justin Krieger!! You can get to him by clicking the next button!!

Stamp Ink Paper 51 Sunset Inspiration

Hey there and happy Tuesday! Summer break is in full swing and I have the sunburn from the pool to prove it!!

This week we have an inspiration challenge and honestly I haven't been very inspired... But when I opened my Stampin Up box full of all new goodies from the NEW catalog, I knew what was going to do!!

Soooooo excited to share the details of this card! This card started with the DSP.... We live on the plains and this paper from the Serene Scenery DSP seemed to fit what our sunsets look like! The card base is Old Olive with a cheerful matte of Daffodil Delight. I then took the also new Sunshine Wishes Thinlits to create my Sunshine sentiment! I adhered this to the front of the card using a two way glue pen! Below you can see I added Clear Wink of Stella on the card and sentiment to give it some sparkle.... I had a hard time deciding between sequins or dew drops. Sequins WON! Go figure right? I adhered these using the Fine Tip Glue Pen!

Thank You all so much for stopping by! I was so excited to share my little bit of Sunshine with you today! Have a fabulous Day!
